To slip back into real talk for a minute, the US is heading for a race war. On the one side we have the BLM movement who is getting more and more fed up and vocal about the atrocities committed with regular impunity and on the other there is the "silent majority" NRA trump supporters who see BLM as an infringement on their rights. The extremes of those two groups has absolutely no overlap in ideology and are completely diametrically opposed. There is *no* concession that can be made on either side. The best that can be hoped for is a continuation of the current cold war, which is in all honesty an affront to the BLM position. There is no victory here and it could very well destroy this country.

nah. it won't escalate to any more than it is now. the status quo with a marginal progressive trend is how things are going to go for a good while.

BLM doesn't have the capital or ideological basis to start a "war," and the "silent majority nra trump supporters" don't have the platform.

It really was only a matter of time before people started actively fighting back. There's really only so many times you can let murderous cops walk free before someone loses their shit. That's assuming the shooter is attacking the cops as a response to Alton and Philando of course.
