I'm actually looking forward to Watch Dogs 2. Though 1 was a wildly inaccurate depiction of Chicago and plagued with problems, I had quite a bit of fun, especially with the online hacking mode. Nothing is more wild than trying to escape a person you've just hacked and getting away on CTA train at the last second.

I've been binge watching tools and tool related videos on youtube for the last 2 weeks or so (i'm kinda renovating my shop so i needed some tutorials for some of the stuff i'm doing, plus i like tools, then i fell through the youtube hole .....) but this video really, REALLY caught my attention and i thought to share it with all of you.

So.

As you may or may not know, I've fallen into the PSO2 hole (again). I've mainly been playing it in Episode 1, cause I like doing things in order, but I found out I have to fight a monster in Episode 4 to clear a quest I took. NBD, I pop into episode 4.

I was not ready. The plot of PSO2 is batshit insane. So check it: my character is taking missions from this girl:

who is exactly as fucking annoying as she looks. In any case, she sends me on a mission with this guy Hitsugi cause he's acting weird or something. We go kill stuff and he's being weird and there's a cutscene and he's still weird and then this boss level enemy shows up and almost kills me in the cutscene, yeah? So Hitsugi saves me with a one hit kill and says some anime cliche power of friendship bullshit right before another of said enemy shows up and takes him over. Now *I* do some mystic anime power of friendship bullshit and Hitsugi is freaking out and he logs out of the fucking game.

What.

So now we pop over to Real Tokyo and Hitsugi turns out to be a girl playing PSO2 on her computer:

And because she logged out during my power of friendship moment, her male character shows up in her bed. Naked. And then a space zombie kicks her door in. And then she yells out for me to save her and I come out of her computer and kick the space zombies' asses.

What.

So now I'm in Real Tokyo and I need to kill a brown bear so I can finish this quest and get a subclass. Hard to believe this game was taking itself seriously for the last four years.
Now I really gotta watch that PSO2 anime.

EDIT: it's not like the plot wasn't batshit before. The first three episodes were about you time traveling and butterfly effecting your way to different outcomes for reasons.

So far in Tokyo, I've sped through the streets like I was playing a Sonic game, drop kicked a crow out of the air, and fought polar bears, brown bears, T-Rexes, and a possessed steamroller. Did I mention the space zombies are wearing white three piece suits and loafers? Cause that happened.

Edit: add to the enemy list a tank that launches ICBM's (one hit kill), a helicopter that I also drop kicked out of the air and a three headed dragon made of, I kid you not, subway trains.

They were I think. 4's a prequel and 5 takes place before 3 so 3's still the distant finale.

I miss 3, Ill double dip if it shows up on psn for ps4

to this day I still wish tri-ace had doubled down on the nonsense twist from SO3 in the future games. What they've done for 4 and 5 hasn't interested me, but I might just need to accept what Star Ocean is and what it's not.

I've worked with stone for a years, but never had a chance to build with wood. I've been envious of the speed that a skilled work can be done, and those the precision with measurements. The most wood work I've done has been building frames for my canvases and getting splinters in my ass. Been thinking of hitting up a local JC to get a proper introduction. Good vid.

Ahh, I didn't know. Watched the trailer and it looks interesting.

I'm actually hoping this game doesn't have shooting but I know it will. The idea of being an ethical hacker who murders hundreds of people never sat right with me.

Apparently you can go *"non lethal" in the game, but yeah there is gunplay to be had.

* Correct me if i'm wrong but tasers are called less than lethal.

Also my father ragged on me when I called him for not recognizing a billiard ball on a cord could fuck you up.

As for the protag being black, it's funny because the arguments generally for it is that making a char white male obstractises other groups, so what if you make the char a black female? Have you annoyed the white males/females/chinese/klingon delegation? Are they all going to whine that they are not the center of attention?

If it's done to be 'right on!' and social justice crap, then people will just avoid it because it's propaganda, if it's done with a good reason, then fair enough. This case is probably a good reason, as America has a black problem so it's normal to have a black character i would guess, even though hispanics are a larger part demographiclly than blacks.

Hispanics - 16.3 %
Blacks - 12.2 %

So according to demographics, it would be obvious to make the main char hispanic, as they are the next largest demographic. Fact is, blacks have such fragile egos that they want to be the center of attention. All. The. Time. It's why they are so loud, lucky for us in eastern europe they know to stay away from us.

I wonder what the hispanics/chinese/anythingelse feel about not being represented in a game? Oh that's right, they are not as fragile as the black babys.
