If he only got knocked out then why the hell was there a funeral?

From what i understand, not that many people knew that Two-Face was even around. Better to say he died, than say he killed a bunch of a few cops and a mobster.

I thought it was just a good movie right up till Joker's arrest. From there it got FUCKING AWESOME ALL THE WAY TO THE END :D :D :D

Dude, the scenes leading up to his arrest were fucking awesome too! You're saying that truck chase wasn't fucking incredible? I mean, when Batman went up that wall and came back, I went from "nice truck flip" to "OMFG AMAZATRON!" And then when Gordon gets the shotty and stops Joker and rips off his mask, omfg it was awesome.

Even though I had seen the truck flip a thousand times in previews and even in the making of... it was still freaking incredible.

I had no idea prior to seeing the movie why the truck was flipping like that, and seeing Bats essentially trip-wire a truck was god damn awesome as hell.

There are so many things to love about this film that I cannot even remember them all.

I never read much of the batman comics, but is the multiple coin flips change to two face new? That was really awesome along with how the coin came to be too.

And seeing him ride the Batpod under the truck to trip wire it? Fucking awesome. Wriggling in and out of light poles? SOOOOO GOOD. GOD I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

He never did multiple flips on any one person. He did multiple flips in the limo, but one was for Maroni, the other was for his driver. Neither of them were lucky in the end.

The only time he was going to do "multiple flips" was when he was trying to scare the Joker goon into talking. But at that time, there was only one outcome. It was a double sided coin still.

Maroni did survive his own flip, so that's pretty much doing two coin flips for the same person though. He didn't have an agenda against the driver, so it was pretty much him manipulating the outcome, but of course he was in the car himself so I guess you could argue against that.

I'm surprised no one here has yet to mention the Watchmen trailer before Dark Knight

i think the date was 3/6/09
there was mention of it and there was mention that not everyone went to a screening that had it. Some of them went straight into the movie. The one I saw didn't have that trailer at all

I loved the trailer. I was really surprised how well Dr. Manhattan turned out.

if Dent is still alive (which I don't think he is), I wonder where would he be hiding? would he just be chained up in some abandoned warehouse and gordon gives him food every once in a while like Sloth from the goonies?

We didn't get to see it Tuesday. WB apparently made the IMAX people black out the trailer. LAME.

where the hell is the non-spoiler thread gone?

I can't believe this is a Friday release I was hoping I could see it today but the next showing is at midnight AAARCK! I have to go to the theather and see if I can get a ticket for it

wonder what I should watch while I wait for midnight

When Batman is on the Batpod racing towards The Joker standing in the street, what causes him to smash himself?
And Batman gets saved by Gordon then right?

Batman couldn't bring himself to kill the Joker I'm assuming, like at the end of the movie.

That scene was awesome because it showcased how different the two of them were.

Joker: "Come on hit me... I want you to HIT ME... HIT ME!"

Batman: *bails out* *gets him arrested*

I reccomend you read "the long halloween" after you see this movie :D

This movie is fucking amazing!!

I loved the bit when the jokers minon guy got shocked my batmans mask and he started laughing and doing a silly electrocution thing then spat on him. It was so crazy and sick and showed what an awesome actor heath is(Now I'm sad he's gone. :( ).

I also don't think I've ever seen a movie that I had never have enough time to collect my thoughts on what exactly happened. It was like oh shit oh shit oh shit from the beginning till the end.

One of the parts I didn't really have time to comprehend is Alfred burning Rachel's letter, and then in an earlier scene Batman was also reading another letter? What's the explaination for that part?

HOLY SHIT. Wow. Ok well. I can't think of a single flaw in the movie really. Bale did a great job of trying to not be over shadowed by Ledger who deserves on Oscar for that.

The comparsions to Empire Strikes Back are completely justified except there's less hope in the ending of the Dark Knight, aside from Gordon's monologue.

Finally, I like how they mae it to where Gordon is going to be literally the only one aside from Alfred who can trust Batman. Even Lucius (sp) has left Bruce on his own.

If they do (they better!) a third one, I"m not sure where they can go with it. There's no way they can use the Joker again. Even if Heath was alive, I think they made the perfect Batman/Joker relationship in this movie and they can't really expand on that again. I guess the third movie might be "the dawn"?

Lucius didn't leave him. He said he'd quit until that machine was destoryed. When he typed his name in the end the machine self destruct.

Also there will be a 3rd. It's a trilogy.

HOLY. SHIT.

The pencil trick, all of the targets, gordon's fake death, rachel's real one, the switch that led batman to dent, the nurse scene, the limo ride where dent shoots the driver, the upside down speech the joker gives to batman, and the final confrontation with dent. HOLY SHIT.

Harvey Dent / Aaron Eckhart stole the show for me. I was unnerved by Heath's Joker, but Harvey was awesome.

Bruce/Batman never got the letter. Rachel left it, and during her narration, Alfred was reading it. He had planned on giving it to Bruce when he was still in the costume on his chair in the penthouse with his breakfast, but after Bruce told him that Rachel was going to wait for him (which the letter clearly says she won't), Alfred spared Bruce the heartache by burning the letter.

I guess I missed that part. I thought he said that if Batman made him do it he'd quit regardless.

Just came back from a midnight show.

GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME.
I'm going to have to see this a few more times in theaters and it's good enough I'm willing to camp out to get it on bluray the second it releases.

Absolutely amazing. Hits every note right, the tension in this film is incredible. It's like a four issue mini-series/graphic novel on screen, multiple climaxes, a real sense of danger, characterizations are perfect...action scenes have been fixed (no shakey cam!).

Batman Begins is an absolute piece of dog shit next to Dark Knight.

I know the hype but Ledger *IS* amazing. He deserves the oscar.
I don't know if I can sleep now, my mind is fucking blown.

WOW

Im watching batman begins right now, and i lol'ed hard at the I'M BATMAN *headbutt*. That's probably one of my favorite parts of the movie :lol :lol

When Harvey said "I am the Batman!" I half-expected him to headbutt the cop that arrested him :lol :lol

Holy fucking shit. Holy fucking shit. Holy fucking shit.

This was incredible; even better than I expected it could have been. Heath Ledger was absolutely terrifying. In the first taped session of him with the hostage, when he screams "look at me!" I was literally frightened. Wow. I know the whole posthumus Oscar thing is a bit tired at this point, but he might actually deserve it.

The only problem I had was with the Two-Face character model. The burns were kind of overdone, I thought, to the point of being corny.

Is there any chance that Two-Face comes back for the third movie? I don't really know how they could fit The Riddler or The Penguin in to the more serious/demented style of these movies.

Holy fuck, the pencil scene, holy fuck

This is right next to T2 as my favorite movie of all time. There is nothing wrong with this movie, besides being so short. I could watch 6 hours of this movie.

JUST GOT BACK. AWESOME FILM.

One question though.

Did the joker push himself off the building at the end when batman saved him or is he still hanging in there?

I'm not ashamed to say I jumped a little when his voice changed. :D

Two-Face is dead, and I'm ok with that.

They showed a little cut with the SWAT team members running up to him. It's safe to say that he got locked up.

TERMINATOR TRAILER!
<3 Christian Bale

The saddest part about DK was that half the theater was murmering "what the fuck is Watchmen" and then they were clapping and cheering about Terminator 4. :(

What kind of Batman audience doesn't have a decent number of comic book junkies? In my theater, the Watchmen trailer got a shitload of clapping and cheers; T4 got no reaction other than when Christian Bale's name appeared onscreen.

Holy shit, that was amazing. Movie of the year.

One thing though: Batman didn't MEAN to save Dent instead of Rachel, right?

Because he told Gordon he was going to go save Rachel, meaning Gordon and his men went to the other address to save who they thought would be Dent.

Meaning that Joker gave Batman the opposite locations?

My friend thought that Batman decided to go after Dent instead, but that wouldn't make sense as Batman told Gordon he would be going after Rachel.

It was another Joker twist. He switched the addresses up on Batman.

I LOVED how the Joker told the story of his scars like "The Aristocrats" joke, that he'd change the premise every time.

If the Joker has to have a past, he'd prefer it to be multiple choice. :D

I specifically watched for this part on my second viewing tonight. Joker totally played them. He said Harvey would be at 250 52nd St. and Rachel would be at Ave. X at Cicero. He reversed them, almost certainly on purpose.

Oh yeah, am I the only one who thought seeing the crow as just some...petty criminal kind of lame at the start? He just appears, gets caught and thats it.

The villain of Batman 3 should, without doubt, be Mr. Freeze.

When that dude from "Friday" showed up, I was on standby for him to punch the guy with the detonator, so I could yell "You just got Knocked the Fuck out!"
