Love this game 80% in at lvl 18. Finishing my side quests before I go for it now.

Think I might have busted the escort one, lost the dude.


Played Torchlight & Titan Quest recently but man I could really go for console dungeon-clickers.

Finished it up with all of the achievements, had a great time. There were really only two things I didn't like. The music was really grating. I don't know if it was really that bad or there was just not enough of it. Regardless, it drove me to kill. My other issue was Turtle Beach. These Giant Turtles are just sort of hanging out being turtles before I show up and paint the shores with their blood. I'm the one intruding on THEIR beach! Admittedly, I did go that area about three million times while grinding towards level 20 so I couldn't have been that upset. I've always been sort of sensitive towards that though I guess, while playing Fallout 3 I chose the perk where animals were friendly towards you ASAP.

Titan Quest + Expansion + Community Patch is very good and deep into the game when you're fleshed out your tree(s) it's great.

I remember a while ago I just used my US credit card on a Hong Kong account, just with a fake billing address. I'm not sure if thats still an option anymore, but its worth a shot.

Aren't all the other creatures mythical though? Pigflies, unicorns, etc. Not saying bloody turtle violence should be banned and I'm not starting an EA letter writing campaign or anything, it just made me uncomfortable.

finished the game today! really liked the world and the humor, some really hilarious moments for me, loved those future criminals! Thou i agree with most of the negative aspects pointed out so far. Would have loved to solve some more puzzles like gear quest or bubblewoods quest...

BTW i kept the ice resistance armor for the looks but i cant remeber ever seeing some monsters with ice element?!! my bad memory or is it really that useless?

Titan Quest is great after this I can really see how the genre can work on consoles now and think there's a gap.

Torchlight with some tweaks could easily work too



The leaderboards are already at 30000 on Xbla so here's hoping it proves successful and we get more.

Yeah, I kept all the ice resistance armor in my inventory, expecting there to be some sort of ice level with mutant polar bears and killer penguins....

I just finished it and loved every second of it. It checked every box for me (except, like I mentioned earlier, the lack of puzzles). The open ending didn't bother me one bit, it just means more Deathspank to look forward to in the future!

A minor classic if you ask me.

Eurogamer review is so horribly stupid it's not even worth reading. The writer basically says "this game didn't live up to the ideas I made in my head before it was released, therefore it's average. I wanted the game to be like this, but instead it was like that".

When you play it, you realize DeathSpank is a game focused on being humorous and lighthearted. The Eurogamer writer apparently wanted it to be a deep and oh-so-clever parody of other action rpgs we've seen before. I bought it day 1 and I think it's great, I'll definitely buy a sequel if they make one.

Can safely say that if you do not grind, you will get to the end at level 19.

The character progression is really based on weapon and armour levels rather than character levels though.

Yeah, seems that way. Leveling up doesn't really offer a whole lot, at least relative to other similar games.

Quite enjoying the game, though. It's light and fun. I think the visuals are quite striking.

Ok, the brother gets eaten, you kill the thing and get the brother's skull. I take that back to the other brother, who wants me to C-4 the houses in the town. Problem: Where's the C-4?!?! It isn't in my inventory or in my special equipment.

you just walk up to the houses and plant them, much like like you would open a chest. these are the burnt houses in the town with the rock people. you dont have to select anything really. just walk up to the front doors and plant them.

For example:

First of Bashing (purple)
A mightly blow for justice.
Level: 3-8 Damage: 250 Physical

Can we level some weapons? 250 damage on a normal attack or "Justice" attack? The icon shows some kind of leveling iconography?

I'm at odds.

I put down my DualShock at 3:35 last night. Damn game is too addictive.
Love the humour, graphics and looting aspects. Voiceovers on some characters are bad, but most are top notch. Especially DeathSpank himself.

My hats and gratz to the makers! I would surely buy more of this and for 12.99 euros this was a steal!!!!

Last night I did a chapter of Alan Wake and then turned to DeathSpank. The difference in game styles was quite a nice change-up. Plus a friend dropped by and he got to play Sparkles the Wizard, who comes in quite handy.

The armor items disappear from the shop after they drop in the world, have you checked the lost and found chest?

I haven't bought the game yet but wouldn't that 250 Physical be the actual damage that weapon does when you use it? However I am not really sure why the Level to use the weapons are 3-8 or 1-6 and so on...

I'm out of side quests and I'm still level 18. I have not taken the path to Lord what's his name's castle. Last bit of side questing I did was for the wizard. Killed the biclopes. Etc.

I'm still missing two orphans as well.

The out of order outhouses can never be activated. The last two orphans are at van prawns castle. If you want to level up, kill the unicorns.
