it says there will be a big announcement along with the release date of advent children complete
In an interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura offers some interesting details about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Blu-ray version of the film out there is already a certain time. We thought so far only a few bits of footage had been added, but little information and a complete absence of release date proved to be quite strange. In fact, according to Nomura, these are passages of the whole scenario that have been added and others who have been modified. In the end, the film should win in length and density. The Japanese release date has been decided, but it will have to wait (probably to the event DK Σ3713 in early August) so that it is unveiled. Nomura also notes that a big announcement that should accompany the release date, without giving more details ... Such vagueness should encourage the wildest rumours.
Tetsuya Nomura is also rapidly on the development of Final Fantasy XIII Versus, a topic that had already provoked a general cafouillage a few weeks ago. The director of Thursday confides that the team is currently working above is very reduced, for the simple reason that the cinematics team is dedicated primarily to Advent Children Complete and programmers lend a hand to those of FFXIII. No, really, Versus XIII should not arrive for a while... As a consolation, we can expect to have FFXIII faster.

Theres going to be more things happening for XIII at E3, said a rep. Thats all I can say at the moment. And throughout the year theres more things planned as well, which should shed more light on the release timings.

Square-Enix are NOT going to announce a FFVII remake tho, I don't think they'll ever do one, but they're certainly not going to announce it anytime soon. They don't have any developers left to work on it. Members of the Versus XIII have been moved over to FFXIII to help get that finished, there's simply no one left... and they would need a good 200 people.

FFObsessed said:True, but that's possible because they've got pretty much every available man working on it. I guess if FFXIII does come out this December or March 09 they could move the guys back onto Versus XIII and then the rest of the FFXIII staff get working on FFVII:RE. Then when Versus is done move everyone over to FFVII:RE.
But it will take so many years before the FFVII: RE project starts to ramp up that it would be insane to announce it so soon. I really want a FFVII remake, but the earliest we could hope for an announcement is a few years from now.
I pray I'm wrong tho![]()

FFVII won't come out on PS3 until all the FFXIII games are out. PSP is a possibility. I'd love to see 7, 8, 9 with "CC-grade plus a bit" graphics.
Problem with PSP is storage. Crisis Core was a fraction of the length of a full FF, and apparently things had to be cut (voice tracks, etc) to fit it on the UMD. Considering the fact that even the 3 and 4 remakes had voice acting, there's no way in hell 7+ remakes would exclude it. Factor it all together, I don't see any way they could possibly fit on handhelds without using multiple UMDs/carts. Have we seen any multi-disk handheld games yet?tanod said:I'd guess release time frame.
