The E3 '08 Sony Prediction and Discussion Thread

I think what I'll be most interested in is how much higher or lower the number of new third party game announcements for the PS3 are compared to last year now that Sony is in a pretty well defined 3rd place.
 
FF13 is listed on E3's game lineup web site. The last trailer came out when .. last December? I'm sure 6 months is enough time for something new.

Wasn't the last trailer the 3 year old trailer remixed? If E3 was school FFXIII and killzone have almost graduated.

FF13 will be shown but it probably won't be new.

Dont forget that SE is holding their own event in August with new trailers for XIII and VSXIII. Just saying..dont get your hopes up.
 
I mainly want more RPGs. My backlog of ps1/ps2 games are tiding me over but it would be nice to see some new ones on the PS3. Also would love to hear a definite date when Home will finally come out. I've got tons of plans for decking out my place.:D
 
Eat Sleep Play, Jaffe's company is working on a PS3 tittle. He made some noise at GDC about wanting to do the next Twisted Metal for the PS3, was he just toying with us and its in development? Or is it a new title all together?

I expect him to be at E3, but I'm not expecting an official announcement.

They practically announced to the world that they are making TM3 on their last game which was a port of the PSP twisted metal game.
 
My predictions:

- God of War III will be shown. Probably video with in-game assets, and amazing looking.
- Final Fantasy XIII will be shown in some way, shape, or form.
- Team ICO will wait for TGS to unveil their godly game.
- Home will have a release date.
- Plans shown for Music and Video sections in the PS Store.
- David Jaffe will show PS3 Twisted Metal, and we will fall in love with him all over again.
- New never before seen PSN games will be shown.
- PS2 Classics for download on PSN will roll out this Fall.
- LA Noire will be shown.
- More PSP/PS3 intergration will be shown, possibly Home intergration.

Yes, i'm an optimist. This is all speculation. Lets hope half of these are true. :D
 
Time to show more of FLOWer. Afrkia and Aqua too. Bet they'll just be part of a montage during the conference, if at all :/.
 
Besides showing off the obvious stuff I really hope Sony shows off Pixeljunk Eden, White Knight and Valkyrie.

It really saddens me that we have to be stuck with the same game from ND all generation for the 3rd time in a row. They're so much more talented than that.
 
All I care about is seeing ZOE 3. I remember reading a while back that it was in the works. I haven't seen anything about it since but now that MGS4 is out, I think there's a chance we'll see it.

It's the name of the pasture that Sony sent Kutaragi to. It's a bonus if anything of value comes from it.
 
Two things I would like to hear: WKC and a new IP or at least some release dates if I can't get a new IP*

Its impressive how strong sony's first party support is.

Not only, despite being one year late, ps3 has a lot more first party games, but a lot of them are with sequels schedulled already.
 
I really, really wanna believe they're gonna be showing FFXIII in some shape or form, but with SE's recent focus in promoting their own events, I really doubt they'd give the fans some juicy FFXIII information this E3.

also, Suikoden VI, Wild ARMS VI, Shadow Hearts 4, SMT, etc.
 
say what you want about sony, but as the years go on i am increasingly interested in what they've got up their sleeves.

their bad luck isn't gone yet, but the tides have been turning in more favor than hate for the company. frankly i'm not too keen on what microsoft and nintendo will be showing at all and i can't figure out why

There will be surprises and a couple of games announced. I find it funny that people think Sony has completely blown their load.

The probability of the Team Ico game being shown is more unlikely than anything Final Fantasy 13 related being shown.

They'll talk a lot about HOME and it will likely be the thing their conference will center around. Expect these games to be shown:

Killzone 2
Resistance 2
GT5
God of War 3
MotorStorm 2
Infamous
Little Big Planet

To be honest, they'd probably be looking pretty fucking good if they stopped then and there, but they'll also probably show:

Uncharted 2 in some form.
Final Fantasy 13 trailer.
Several surprise games that are likely exclusive.

I fully expect them to "win" E3 with no competition in sight.

Icognito has nothing to do with TM at this point. Dylan Jobe mentioned awhile back that have started on something new, unrelated to Warhawk (or at least Warhawk 1...)

Not really Sony specific at this point, but I'd surely like to see what Snowblind Studios has been up to at this E3.

While Clap Hanz is likely working on the next Everybody's Golf installments for PS3 and PSP, and perhaps a new Everybody's Tennis, I don't expect any announcements for E3.

I don't know why people would consider them making Everybody's Golf 6 for PS3 so soon considering they are doing the DLC route a lot, hell we just got new costume set vol. 2 today. :lol

I think we'll finally get a peek at the new Team ICO game or at least a few screens. I expect a few announcements on new PS3 and PSP remote play features as well. Also I hope this year they release some of the demos on the show floor on PSN if only for a limited time.

If half the shit in the OP materialises, it will be amazing. I think expectations are a little high though.
 
something decent...no real expectations...quite a few games I want to see, though. Just keeping my expectations realistic. At least R2, KZ2 and GOW3 will be there.

They will also Probably show one of those three next gen plataformers: jack and dexter, ratched and clank or sly. And some crazy-ass never-heard-before game.

Sony huge first party support is starting to make an impact. I agree that this E3 is a sure bet on sony "win". And they still got some high profile franchises that havent being touched yet, like synphon filter.
 
I expect God of War 3, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Home, ingame XMB, videoservice and moar God of War 3.
