Little Big Planet comes in October, a good month for a price cut, and it's a casual/social game they really want to push as a huge title, so they need to make the console more affordable to the kind of userbase they're targeting with the game. I don't think you'll get both the console and the game at 349$ considering their focus on profitability but the console alone is a different story.
Well, what I'm thinking is that before they give the PS3 a $100 price cut they will first cut it $50 and add a game. I'm thinking that game would probably be little Big Planet. LBP obviously gets a different market than the MGS4 pack, and Sony wants to concentrateon taking away some of Nintendo's market. What better way then to bundle LBP with a 40 Gig PS3? Then I believe a month or so later they will have the $100 price cut on all PS3's but since LBP is $60 on its own, it would still be better to buy the bundle because it's $10 cheaper if you were planning on buying LBP to begin with. That's my thinking
