As a new PS3 owner, this is what I'm looking forward to seeing...
Resistance 2 (Resistance will likely be the second PS3 game I buy.)
The Agency (I think it has potential)
God of War III (Never played GoW2, but loved the original)
Infamous (I like Sucker Punch, and I much prefer chaotic sandbox games like Crackdown than the now bland GTA formula)
Killzone 2 (I really don't know about this game. I will pay more attention to it, but the stuff I've seen so far looked pretty doctored, and the first game wasn't all that great.)
Uncharted 2 (Still have to play the first one, loved the demo)
Q Entertainment's Game (Love Rez, Love Lumines, love Q)
New Kojima Project? (We'll see. Love Kojima)
I really hope Sony justifies my PS3 purchase with a good E3 showing.
Resistance 2 (Resistance will likely be the second PS3 game I buy.)

But you know what... in 2005, the PS3 Evaluation System specs were somewhat higher than the release version in terms of sheer graphical grunt. They would never have reached those heights demonstrated in the CG trailer of course, but if the machine had come out as Sony was promising at the time, they would now be getting a hell of a lot closer to it than they did. See what Kojipro was able to do in little time for TGS 05, and keep in mind the recent Kojima comments about the PS3 not delivering quite what was promised. I believe that, at the time, the closest developers to Sony were aiming higher than what the finished system allows for. However, once Sony started looking at the cost of producing such a machine... they had to cut back.

We know about 2.4, we know about the video download store,we know there might be something about a new controller with motion sensors, we know there won't be a price cut.
That leaves really small room left for true megatons unless some huge unexpected exclusive is announced or a new slimline PS3 model is annunced and confirmed to be launching ww during fall.

I'm predicting that Sony will (finally) announce a PS3 greatest hits/platinum range, lead by RFOM and MS1.

Oddly enough, I am LTTP on Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy), playing it on PC right now and loving it. The makers of it are responsible for that Heavy Rain game, I would love to see how thats coming about. I may get a PS3 soon and this would be a huge incentive if these guys can deliver.

Already did. Most of these things are just guesses, all 3 have had stuff leaked or hinted at for a long time now. But there will be new stuff for all as well, I don't understand the "nothing will happen" talk.konrad77 said:

I think they will party for their sales, they will announce their new big killer application for casual gamers just like WiiFit was announced last year and they will announce more first party titles in development including a few 'core' titles GAF will care about.
Microsoft had almost everything leaked, price drop included, so of course they will showcase their 2008 lineup and announce a few titles scheduled for 2009 (Gears 2 and Halo Wars will be there, Alan Wake will be there and so on) but probably the main attraction will be how they plan to conquer the casual market with their new controller.

Yes I think they will too and in both Microsoft and Sony's cases, the reception they'll get will rely mainly on the software they'll use to demonstrate the capabilities of these new controllers. If they have ready applications/games which show things beyond what the Wii can do, they'll receive a lot of positive press. If they come out with a couple of bare boned tech demos these controllers will be labeled as a poor 'me too' effort to follow Wii's lead.

Little Big Planet comes in October, a good month for a price cut, and it's a casual/social game they really want to push as a huge title, so they need to make the console more affordable to the kind of userbase they're targeting with the game. I don't think you'll get both the console and the game at 349$ considering their focus on profitability but the console alone is a different story.
