Koodo said:The lol at Gaga being forgotten anytime soon. She's the only one in years, and certainly currently, that has a shot at having the longevity of Madonna. Call her albums vapid or whatever, but the girl has undeniable raw talent. But the nonbelievers can keep spouting their nonsense, though I question until when will they continue doing so because it's been going on since 2008. Are you lot going to wait until she finally has a bad year, who knows when, to say "hah! I was right!" You'll sound as prophetic as those on the gaming side proclaiming their accuracy for calling the Wii a fad in 2006 as the system finally "underperformed" in 2010.

Didn't you just defeat your own point? You established Eminem is a certified superstar and Gaga is still an up and coming newcomer, yet she managed to take the crown for best selling album of the year. In no way is Eminem not an enormously successful artist, but the sales of the Fame Monster are a bigger accomplishment than the sales of Recovery, especially when you factor in that the version on this list is the re-release of The Fame (an album from 2008).TekkenMaster said:Eminem's CD has only been out 6 months while Gaga's has been out the entire year...plus he's the best selling artist of 2000-2009.
And he's still on top after 11 years. So if anyone is a certified supermegastar at this point it's him.

HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT ABOUT ETERNAL LEGENDS LIKE CANDLEBOX AND MEN WITHOUT HATS.Ninja Scooter said:People always put their nostalgia goggles on in these kinds of threads. Find the top 10 selling list for every year of the 80s and 90s and you are probably going to find a lot of shit.

The Fame Monster is the 8-track EP that was only released in select countries (and on iTunes). The album on the best seller list is the re-release of The Fame with those 8 new tracks (this version came out at the same time as the EP).TekkenMaster said:Also, I'm confused...when I look on Amazon Fame Monster is a new album with 8 songs....
