I've already seen the pilot but watched it again anyway.
I pretty much guessed who the professor fella is even before the reveal. But maybe it'll go in a different direction.
Other thoughts: It was an extremely well done pilot and I'm definitely sticking with the show.
A nice start, but the CGI is very jarring since it's terrible while Barry was running and with the tornado villain.
Some preliminary numbers are up, and it looks great so far.Anyone know when the ratings are gonna be in?

Ain't got no link since I'm on a phone, will edit I get back home.
Flash debuted to a strong 3.4 overnight household rating. Higher than Arrow's debut back in 2012 which was a 3.0.
The number is immense by CW standards.
Holy shit.
What.
Note that's the Household number, not the 18-49 demo. Still great, though.3.4 apparently. CW's hottest premiere since 90210. And yes, it beat Agents of Shield.
Who did you guess he was?
So is there an idiot's guide to TV ratings? I don't get any of this.Note that's the Household number, not the 18-49 demo. Still great, though.
Numbers 101 from TVbtN. There's an embedded video there, too.So is there an idiot's guide to TV ratings? I don't get any of this.
I won't say for sure because I find it likely that he's going to be a modification of a certain time travelling character who wants to make him the best flash he can be, or an amalgam of different characters. Alternatively, he could be an agent of another character (in the future) and is acting on his behalf.
Regardless of who he is, I'll enjoy seeing how it plays out.
Are you trolling now?
I mean we get it 'Arrow and Flash aren't good and are sexist and I like The Avengers.' But dude, cut out the absolutes please. You don't speak for all of us, you aren't possessive of facts, and the whole 'I know better than everyone' thing is becoming incredibly patronising.
Not fan of a long form storytelling, aren't you?![]()
Dude, I was referencing a meme, lol
I love long form storytelling, but Arrow used atleast half it's screentime for filler. I don't have reason to believe this is going to be different. Really, it's more of an issue of pacing, but either way, I'm fairly confident it's going to feel too long, regardless if you think 17 hours is a long time or not.
.@TVMoJoe said:BOOM: #TheFlash opens big, with 4.5M viewers and a 1.8 A18-49. In A18-34, it did a 1.5, second in slot.
THE FLASH finished No. 1 among M18-34 and tied for No.1 among M18-49. Massive debut for the C-Dub
Filler? This must be the first time I ever seen someone accuse arrow of having too slow of a pace.
Well... I guess it's good thing most of us here don't have such big problems with it. Shame you can't join us in the sunReally, it's more of an issue of pacing, but either way, I'm fairly confident it's going to feel too long, regardless if you think 17 hours is a long time or not.
The two promos that are up:
- This season on The Flash
- Promo for next week's episode
I think the former was up last night, but the latter is new(ish). Please spoiler tag discussion as appropriate.
Season 2, all on-board!
Expected amazing numbers.
How do these compare to other shows/series premieres? I'm not that knowledgable about what constitutes as good ratingsFlash ratings
These numbers are great for the CW.Arrow garnered a 1.3 rating with 4.14 million viewers for its fall 2012 launch.
How does the 4.5 Million viewers and the 1.8 rating stack up against other CW premieres?
I guess it's goona loose some viewers in the next few weeks, but this should probably be a safe bet for the next few years if nothing unexpected happens.
Their best-rated premiere in 6 years
So damn good.

Now I wonder how long it'll take CW to give the show the full season order.

Awesome numbers
But, promo spoilers
I'm still torn up about the Felicity thing, Pls not like this felicity
9 months later.
Is it a boy or a gir!?!
I guess I missed the Wayne reference
Ah OK. Yah that went pretty quickIt's very brief and at the very end.
It's on the newspaper from the future
No. You should be watching both anyway thoughDo I have to have watched Arrow to gain context for this show? Because I love The Flash and I forgot this came on last night, and I don't watch Arrow.
