Lucius is just jealous I can outbid him for Button's missus.
I've been eyeing the book too. Can't make my mind up. Does anyone have it?
I have a copy. I've only briefly skimmed through bits and pieces, but it is very good.[/url]
Convicted for assault (fractured a man's skull) in 2000 and given a suspended sentence after settling out of court. He also reportedly assaulted his ex-wife in 2008.He's still a cock - don't suck up to him.
I have no sympathy for people who beat up their ladies - utter twat. What has Verstappen done before out of curiosity?

Why is that? Is it the recent cost cutting? Was there even any major cutting? (obviously not the £40m cap the FIA wanted, but I do remember talks of cuts)Still not as bad as it was in the 80's, but it seems to be getting worse after a few years with almost no pay drivers a while ago.
A combination of things; budgets actually getting increasing larger especially for the big teams, meaning the smaller teams need extra finances from somewhere just to keep up, yet alone challenge. There's also the Bernie factor as well as the pot of money that the teams get at season's end been split between more teams. Sponsors not seeing any worth in F1 and pulling out is also a problem, especially in the current financial climate. Money has to come from somewhere and pay drivers fit the bill perfectly. Why is that? Is it the recent cost cutting? Was there even any major cutting? Tony Fernandes of Caterham F1 said that 10th place in the constructors was worth $30million to them, I'm assuming in British pounds?

At least he was finally able to beat someone.
Sorry.
Just on the last few races of the 08 season and wish that some car manufacturers would return to f1. Would love to see the return of manufacturers like BMW, Toyota and Honda. Kind of surprised some car companies haven't dipped a toe in such as VW who are one of the biggest.
Audi, VW or even Bugatti would be great to see as teams in F1. Perhaps not VW (not exactly the right stigma for an F1 team) but either Bugatti or Audi would be a great drawcard. But we have Mercedes now!
Im still wanting Audi get into F1, dont they do amazing in every motorsport they join?
plus thier car would probably look amazing
I'd add Lamborghini to that as well. It would ignite a lot of childhood memories for many car enthusiasts who inevitably argued about Ferrari and Lambo in the playground. I know whose side I was on.Audi, VW or even Bugatti would be great to see as teams in F1. So you guys mean just VW.

Skoda F1 Team!
Well, I didn't follow VW during Le Mans 24hr this year, so no.So you guys mean just VW.

Definitely. Some of the more "classic" teams, even if in name (and perhaps spirit) only would be kinda neat. As an Australian, Brabham would be awesome but there's a reason they're not in F1 anymoreEdmond Dantès;34012223 said:Would like to see Alfa Romeo back in F1.
Michael Schumacher insists he is not far away from returning to the top, saying Mercedes GP need to take only "another small step" forward.
"I know the team better and I am more involved... at first I was a little rusty. Things are better now and I am convinced Mercedes and I will succeed,"
I have a feeling that he will beat Rosberg this year and get that elusive podium finish. A win would depend on circumstances at the front.

Schumi was better than Britney this year.. err last year
He really wasn't at all.
Schumi had a few moments where he was beating Rosberg and people obviously a lot of attention to this, but lets not ignore the mediocrity he displayed for 80% of the season.
sure, Schumi is the best
to be honest, I think he did a very good job and he was unlucky so many timesthislast year, if it wasn't for that you wouldn't have said what you just did
Rosberg was the better qualifier but for races I'd rate Schumi better last season.
Thats again another misconception. Its true that Rosberg was by far the quicker guy in qualifying and that Schumacher was closer in race-pace, but Rosberg was STILL better in this regard. He just didn't have as much 'room for improvement' because he was already qualifying where he was SUPPOSED to be, while Schumacher had to claw his way back from his pitiful qualifying showings(which is pretty much the only reason Schumi topped the 'overtaking list' for 2011).
I'd say that's a toss up career move. On one hand you get screwed out of racing but on the other, promoted to the top team currently. Plus, if more inseason testing is allowed it might not be so bad and you can show off your prowess to other teams.
What do you guys think?
MJ seriously needs to learn where the edit button is.
To summarize. Given the deep economic crisis that is hitting Spain, and specifically the Valencia region (high tax rises and great cuts in public expenditure have been recently announced), the Valencian government has sent a letter to Bernie to renegotiate the terms of the contract for the European GP. We know how Bernie reacts in these situations, so probably, he´ll say no and will find another place that pays even more. The only reason the Valencia government hasn´t axed the race unilaterally is because the penalty for doing it is even higher than the canon they pay to host the race.
"It is not possible in the way that we understand so far," he said. In that sense, suggested that the Consell has sent a letter to Bernie Ecclestone, President and CEO of Formula One Management, with whom the Government has signed a contract for the Grand Prix in Valencia, to address a possible revision. Ciscar admitted that the Government is in a position of weakness because it can not cancel this contract unilaterally, because then it would cause more economic problems you have.
"I still have not read my contract and do not know the impact it would cancel next year's Grand Prix," he added. The annual fee paid by the Government to Ecclestone's Formula 1 Valencia 21 million euros. Also, Channel 9 pays four million euros a year for the broadcasting rights. The construction cost of the street circuit around the 100 million euros.
