I dont know whats funny here? Are you new to sports and have never heard that before? Or do you know exactly what it is, but you want to waste all of our time by having me respond like this so you can write out, "Its not YOUR team, you're not part of it." And I'll be all like, "Its just a common phrase, relax."

I hope that saved both of us some time.

I just think it's a common sign of an idiot when someone gets so invested in a team they refer to it as theirs.

And, as Lucius has already said, it seems to hold true.

I think I recognise Seanspeed from Autosport and PF1. Never made it easy for himself to make friends at those forums either.

I obviously dont feel its 'my' team. I feel no ownership of them. Its a common phrase with an implied 'favorite' in their. Its my [favorite] team. Its the team I support, so I consider it 'my team'. If you like Mclaren or whoever, then I consider that 'your team'. I obviously dont think you own the team if I say that. You dont have to be that hardcore of a fan to say that, which is why I was maybe thinking you are new to sports or something.

I cant believe I'm having to explain to this to someone. :/ To judge someone and call them an idiot for saying such a common thing is pretty low if you ask me.

I'm really not sure why I'm the one getting pointed at here considering what other people are posting.

And unless some of y'all live close by, I'm really not concerned about being 'friends' with anyone here. Just here to discuss F1. Which is obviously very tough with some of the ignorant shit that I have to trudge through.

There are ways to have a "team." You can say it in a way like you would down the pub when someone asks you who you follow, and there's people who get a weird attitude about it like you seem to have.

Clearly I'm not the only one who feels that way, and that's the last I'll say on the matter.

But referring to drivers as "theirs" is okay, right? RIGHT?

Because no-one had better speak ill of my Mark Webber.

Absolutely rotten luck for Kubica, it's going to be a tough road back to fitness (and F1) for him, but fingers crossed. Still young enough.

I think someone asked on the previous page if anyone from here will be getting along to Melbourne, and while I'm hardly a respected member of F1-GAF, I work nearby, and don't live too far away...so I'll most definitely be there. Stand by for weather updates etc.

What? No, nothing to drink. Dont worry about me though, man. I dont need acceptance in this little high-fiving F1 club. Its just a discussion board to me. I dont feel bad for getting upset about ignorant and judgemental posters here, either.

I don't know what the other drivers are like, but I have a feeling he's one of the few who still pushes it fairly hard in the offseason. At least, in regards to his cycling and that Tasmania Challenge thing he has going on.
