The question now.. did Renault shell out the $30 mil and the 20% stake he asked for from Williams? lol

I think the difference in quality between both teams was more than enough.

I can't even remember the last good season Williams' has had.

Needs quoting for a new page.

EDIT:

I've only just realised that this now means there are six world champions on the grid. Holy balls Batman.

The 6 champions stat/fact is all the more impressive when you consider how dominant Schumi was

And the only driver to actually win a title out of the five remaining champions when you remove Schumacher is Alonso.

That's four champions in four years after Schumacher left, I've only just realised that. We've had it good, I guess someone had to dominate like Vettel did this year eventually just to balance it out.

Someone needs to photoshop the Renault-Lotus livery from this year with a gold Magnum logo on the side with Kimi's face in the drivers seat.

Kind of feel sorry for Williams now, they've been forgotten in an instance. It's a sad indictment of their current situation, that the only thing to drum up people's attention of them is a rumour linking the return of a former F1 champion. Not there actions on the race track.

I can honestly see them going the way of other once good/great British teams; BRM, Cooper, Tyrrell and Brabham.

McLaren are the only British team to consistently challenge for title.
It's the lack of yellow/gold on their livery which is hurting them.

I'm 99.9% sure of it.

Heard the news while I was at work today. Good shit Kimi, but you ruined my thread title.

Also, much thanks to everyone who has found the time to respond to my PM. Can't have a good OP without your contribution. :)

If Ricciardo goes to Caterham, does that give him a worse chance of moving up to RBR than if he was with, say, STR?

Ricciardo won't be going to RBR after Kovalainen leathers him next season.

Petrov's manager, Oksana Kosachenko:

After today’s decision was announced, I was given a very short amount of time, literally ten days. We have until December 10 to decide if Vitaly stays or leaves.

Petrov and Raikkonen at Lotus it is then. Roman Grosjean looks to be heading to DTM.

van der Garde to HRT.

To me that sounds more like "Show us the money until December 10" than "Just answer if you want the spot or not" so it's hardly a guarantee he will be Kimi's teammate.

He's desperate and I find it sad to watch him beg for a spot. I don't have any doubt it's not an easy decision but Rubens should have realized what was happening and decided to leave on his own instead of being pushed out while he's kicking and screaming because he wants to stay.

Anyone reads http://www.brundlequotes.com/index.htm? It's a great site but it seems since Brundle is going to Sky it won't be updating as frequently as before.

AD Sports (The channel that broadcasts F1 here) had an English commentators option which was a direct sound feed from the BBC. So I always got to hear Brundle and DC. I just hope they get to broadcast the sound feed from Sky as well!

Kimi will forever be a god after Monaco 2006.

remind me.. is it the fire incident where he made sure the car was out of he way?

Kimi is back on twitter too after a break since leaving Ferrari.

Can't wait for more funny jokes and personal stories:

But is it the real Kimi?

He likes to drink, so Finlandia is obvious choice.

Leunam, you will get PM from me this weekend, i do not have any time before Saturday evening.

and who doesn't? ;)
