If a circuit doesn't lend itself to overtaking there's really very little you can do to the cars to change that. There's a reason Hungary never sees much action despite having seen such radically different car designs over the years.
There's a few tracks that dont 'lend themselves' to overtaking, but most are fine.

The best track for overtaking would be AVUS.

Why is he trying to justify his win? even if claims of Redbull giving him the win were true, I'm sure he gave something to the team that made him earn that favoritism in the last race as a thank you.. it was cheap to point out Hikke's win like this.. so many other wins were won the same way or even worst..

There are so many undeserved losses, but an undeserved win never exists, not even Germany 2010.. every win is deserved. end of story.

Now he needs to go back to Mark of 2010 and focus on driving more than writing columns
Disagree. Mark's ability to be honest and reflect is one of his defining traits. I would argue that a column like that only enhances his psychology and ability to race.

I don't hate Vettel, and I'm English. So yeah, you may need glasses because you clearly have not seen the magical marvel that is Webber.

I actually like Webber and was rooting for him to win it last year.. anyone but Alonso thingy .. however, he was at his best when he was in Williams, taking the car where it doesn't belong especially in qualifying.. what happened to that guy, I dunno..

but to call him a "magical marvel" is a bit of a stretch.. he's not Kimi :p

well, I hope so.. the more he competes with Vettel the better for the sport

I'm surprised Paster is not confirmed. The change in midfield drivers would make for interesting races.

2010 had a better fight for the championship but 2011 race quality is much better. So hopefully 2012 will be a combination of both. Otherwise we would have to wait until 2014.

Apparently so, which more importantly, leaves the final Williams' seat a toss-up between Sutil and Barrichello.

Presuming of course that Force India decide to take The Hulk & Di Resta, The Hulk seemed more than confident about having a race seat for next year when the BBC interviewed him at Brazil. Could have just been for show, but who knows.

Force India would be crazy to pick Hulk or Di Resta over Sutil and Williams would be crazy to pick Barrichello over Sutil.
Sutil more or less singlehandedly put FI in the position they were at the end of the season, without him they'd be fighting with Sauber and Toro Rosso for constructors position.

Anyone wanna wager some internet bucks? I can't be the only one who thinks that Caterham will out perform Williams (if they have Pastor/Sandwich again).

it isn't exactly pastors fault that Williams was so crap, if anything his money helped them to be less crap than the crap they are

I didn't say it was his fault. Both drivers just didn't drive well and the car was a stinker too. Just look at the slide from 09 to 11.

I would like to see Maldonado in half decent car to see what he can do - Although he is unlikely to get that from Williams

Ferrari and Red Bull Racing have decided to withdraw from the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) on the back of the ongoing row over the Resource Restriction Agreement, AUTOSPORT can reveal.

Amid ongoing debate about the future of FOTA, with teams failing to agree a way forward for the RRA after a crunch meeting at the Brazilian Grand Prix, high level sources have revealed that both Ferrari and Red Bull Racing have lodged notification that they intend to leave the organisation.

It is understood that both teams wrote to FOTA earlier this week to inform them of their decision.

Neither Red Bull Racing nor Ferrari would comment on the situation when contacted by AUTOSPORT on Friday to discuss it.

A spokesman for FOTA confirmed only that the body had received notice from two teams that they no longer intended to be a part of it, but would not elaborate on which teams they were.

"FOTA confirms it has received the resignation of two teams," said a spokesman. "Whilst considering its next steps, FOTA will continue to work on behalf of its members to achieve the aims of the organisation."
