About Hamilton. I can't believe he is winging about his treatment. This coming from a driver in one of the most privileged sports in the world who has had arguably the most privileged build up and life leading into the sport with a seat virtually reserved for him since he was a child at the top team with the personal blessing of the team manager. How much more pampered treatment could he possibly want? Moreover, every great driver I have watched has earned his keep in a lower tier team before getting a shot with the likes of McLaren or Ferrari. Hamilton got that drive straight away, this being one of my major reasons I don't regard him very highly yet. Talented, undoubtedly. But he still has a lot to prove in my books.
You know why Senna could be aggressive and get away with it? Because other drivers respected him. He earned that respect season after season, pole after pole. Hamilton has shown he will gladly compare himself to Senna when things are going well but will whine like the child he is when other drivers don't pull over for this "passing phenom" on the track. IMO he should have had three drive through penalties or an even larger penalty.
I hated this shit when Schumacher did it, Montoya, etc. Great passing isn't just sticking your nose in and then crying when it goes wrong. Grow the fuck up you over protected child. Nice use of the race card too. Very classy.
The last I can remember was Scott Speed a few years back.isamu said:I have a silly question but here goes:
Why aren't there no drivers from the US in Formula 1? If there are, who are they?
If not, when was the time, if ever, there has been one?

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/261206/murray-walker-documentary-to-air-on-sunday/The documentary accompanies Walker as he travels to Australia for the opening round of the 2011 season, as well as reliving his wartime memories and riding a selection of classic scramble bikes. With contributions from Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and Jenson Button, it also looks back on some of the most sensational moments witnessed in a sporting commentary box.
The first human clone should be Murray Walker, we can put him in a Truman Show type setup to remake Murray Walker the commentator.Edmond Dantès said:Murray Walker documentary to air this Sunday on BBC2.

Shortest time elapsed before earning a penalty - 6 seconds - Sebastian Vettel (2007 United States Grand Prix; recorded speeding in pit lane six seconds into his career as a Formula One driver)
It was also in that race he became the youngest driver to score points.Ark said:He just keeps rewriting the record books!

The all CFD approach that his company specialises in clearly isnt good enough at the moment for car design.

Will he drive the by-far fastest car on the grid too?Edmond Dantès said:That's until Jean Eric Vergne finally shows up in F1, then we'll all be talking about him breaking Vettel's records.
Probably not, I think the field will be equalized by the new regulations when he gets his opportunity in 2013 or 2014.Pterion said:Will he drive the by-far fastest car on the grid too?
well finally some common sense. Wirth is poopshit. Has nothing to do with CFD or traditional, he/they can't develop a car for shit.navanman said:Virgin and Wirth announce a split. The car has been dire this year and the HRT has nearly been as fast.

plus more about possible management shakeup at RenaultBoullier has some unusual things to say about Petrov. Claiming that the Russian mentality doesnt go well with the arrogance of the English he says that Petrov has moved away from English engineers and trainers this year and is doing much better as a result. He has a Spanish trainer and his engineers are Japanese and French.
Perhaps the most surprising comment is that Boullier has seen the need to put in place a fix-it man for Petrov, having identified that hes not very good at basic self-care, He needed someone to guide him, to get him about, to tell him how to behave at the track, what time to wake up, have breakfast, how to manage his day, be on time for meetings and so on, he said.
Following on from last years embarrassing story about the team requesting an advance on its 2011 prize money, there were quite a few rumours circulating again about the financial health of the Renault team over the Monaco weekend.

Brawn back to Ferrari?
Rosberg to Ferrari or is it a long-term deal at Mercedes?
Virgin want technical tie-up with McLaren/Mercedes ala Force India in return for Paffett getting a seat with them.
Some people are just like that really. Raw talent, but not a businessmen, time management expert, or diplomat. Could be nurture, could be nature. I sometimes have trouble holding all of life's little threads together the way some people seem to do with ease - if only I had some amazing talent that let me get away with it :lolnavanman said:That is a bit strange alright. It would make him the highest paid F1 driver to have never won a race (so far).
Playing second fiddle to Vettel and Alonso at those teams wouldn't really help his cause, if he really wants to establish himself as one of the top tier drivers.Hammer24 said:More rumors: Merc offering this much money, ´cause Rosberg got offers from RB and Ferrari too.

Didn't really help Webber. Red Bull still used him to make Vettel the WDC.rogue_pigeon said:Yeah but nor will continuing to drive in an uncompetitive car.
Not so much with Ferrari, but if he moved to Red Bull he could increase his value considerably with consistent race wins (as Webber did last year).
brotkasten said:60M for Rosberg is insane. Is he really better than, lets say, Heidfeld was in his age?
