For anyone who doesnt currenly pay for Sky
12 months at £39.75 per month plus a HD costs an extra £10.25 per month
So if you want to watch every race live in HD next year it will be £600

It's on Sky Sports News at the moment, details are sketchy at the moment, though.
EDIT: BBC confirming it.
Seriously, FUCK YOU Bernie. Miserable old cunt.

Templar Wizard said:so you want to have the full BBC F1 experience, which they themselves have hinted is very expensive.. for free??? as in free-to-air
your license fee gets 50% live races, the highlights and the live radio.
i think you should be happy.
if you want the premium, pay the premium.

The BBC make many, many shit programs that get worse ratings and fewer accolades. Also, the total annual BBC settlement is £6.9bn a year, they have the money.Templar Wizard said:so you want to have the full BBC F1 experience, which they themselves have hinted is very expensive.. for free??? as in free-to-air

Bernie Ecclestone tells BBC News correspondent @danroan on Sky/BBC deal "It's super for F1 - it will mean a lot more coverage for the sport"
@danroan asked whether Ecclestone felt it was a shame all races no longer on free-to-air, answer was: "It was not us who made that decision"
They do.Ark said:What an absolute joke.
If Sky stream it via the internet with decent quality, I'm all for it.
Noooooooo, brundle is awesome, I hope he sticks with the BBC for the 10 live races and highlights...kharma45 said:Brundle just Tweeted about it all, not saying too much

That's another problem, F1 will be competing with football for most of the year on Sundays, so it could get pushed off the HD coverage for virgin viewers.Adamm said:They do.
Also its only £20.25 if you have the basic package, its gets cheap the more you have if i remeber correctly.
You can also only sign up to part of the sports foe cheaper (i.e only get skysports 2,3 & 4) But i depends what channel it will be shown on - Unless they do it like the football & dont have a set channel, in which case you need to get the whole sports package.

Rumours on twitter says there will be no adverts during the raceBungieware said:Fucking terrible decision. And I'm saying this as someone who already has Sky Sports (and HD). Commentary will most likely be shit and I'll be fucking pissed off if there are any adverts during the race, which is likely considering their other broadcasts.

No RBR at all?Leonsito said:Alonso will walk this, good circuit for Ferrari, the perfect tyres for them, no rain, low temps...
My podium for the race: Alonso, Hamilton, Massa.
Murdoch's money brings F1 to Sky. "Are Red Bull running team orders? Let's hack into their radio messages to find out..."
Wes said:The "cost of the TV production team" argument isn't really valid. Heck if it was just the live pictures on BBC alongside the 5Live commentary I would be quite content.
