Adrian Newey and his design team. Without them Red Bull would be just be another run of the mill team and Vettel and co wouldn't be in the situation they find themselves in.

Yep. Vettel has stated that him staying at Red Bull is dependent on Adrian Newey staying as well. That says a lot.

Still i think its unfair to say most of the reason they did well is because mclaren and ferrari messed up. Look at 09 mclaren had a good car at the end of the season still vettel managed to get 2 or 3 wins, and him and webber were doing pretty well. Same goes to the 2010 season.

Sure mclaren and ferrari not being up to speed at the start of a season had something to do with why they were so dominating in 10 and now in 2011 but thats not even close to being the biggest reason.

They have a fast car, a good aerodynamics package, amazing strategy and 2 great drivers.
Just look at mclaren and ferrari and their stupid decisions on the pit wall sometimes. Im sorry but that has nothing to do with why red bull are such a good team. You cant just go out there dominate qualifying all year long, im sorry 2 years in a row and say its all because the other teams dident show up.

I think that is a major reason why RBR have been so dominant this year. Since Canada when other teams have caught up to Red Bull in terms of race pace Button has won 2 races Vettels won 2 Hamilton has won 1 and so has Alonso.

If Mclaren and Ferrari had a better car at the start of the season like they have now the championship would be to close to call. Thats why I'm hoping next year Mclaren and Ferrari get there act together at the start of the season and have a competitive car.

Don't get me wrong I think Red Bull have done an amazing job since they've been in Formula 1. Adrian Newey has designed the fastest car possible within the regulations and Vettel is amazing at pumping out fast laps after another. I have no doubt that they would be contending for championships as long as the team stays the same.

I still think they would have be dominant in quali and some extent in the race even if Mclaren and Ferrari had a better car at the start of the season. I just don't think they would be as dominant as they are now. The first half of this year they were untouchable.

Even better:

It was a great honour to lead the race on Sunday, but also to be passed by someone of your calibre Michael. Although I think we could have had a great battle to the end without the presence of DRS.

mschumi Michael Schumacher
Don't kid yourself Britney, you had the same rear wing as me, yet I gained 19 places while you somehow lost one... to me. At least you have something to put on your CV now I suppose - 101 races, three leading laps. Well done.

nico Nico Rosberg
Perhaps it was your great experience that won out in the end Michael. But you must know it was actually not the first time I led a grand prix?

mschumi Michael Schumacher
Well there you go, nobody remembers. Maybe you need something a bit more memorable to bolster up your resumé, like... I dunno, a win?

Interesting rumour regarding Button's future.

Adam Cooper #F1
An ex-McLaren driver told me the team 'can't afford to keep Jenson because they pay Lewis so much.' Make of that what you will...

No way Jenson won't be driving at McLaren next year. If they REALLY can't afford him (which sounds like utter bollocks, frankly), they'll just work on some extra sponsorship to pay the shortfall.

Hell, they might be doing that already - Head & Shoulders doesn't can't itself, afterall!

I thought they each got £8 million?

I want Button to stay in McLaren. He deserves it, and it will keep team GB going.

Button is better suited to the current ruleset in F1 imo...
with DRS aggressive wheel to wheel racing skills that Hammy or Koba have aren't that important

They finally have someone who is keeping up with Hamilton and sometimes straight outperforming him and they're going to drop that for a silly money issue? Haha, no way. Silly rumours.

I know there is a F1 the money book. But is there a other site that keeps track of all de financial stuff in F1.

Im curious to know how much each driver makes. How much sponsorship money each driver brings to the team, and if teams make a profit or a loss.

Wow, not only are Ferrari wasting a spot by employing Massa, they're also massively overpaying him. Someone in that team must really like the guy.
Spot on, this is like throwing money into black hole... Probably LDM really likes him.

No, that was Button in his championship year.

But yeah as has been pointed out, he wasn't a champion at the end of 2009 when his 2010 contract was signed.

well its not he renewed his contract after last year, so i doubt his contract changed much.
I think that they raised his salary for another million. He got shitload of cash with his WDC last year, but he is quite humble cash wise.

From that numbers we can see that Ferrari is wasting A LOT of money on their drivers salaries - 44 million vs 25 milllion at Mclaren

Yeah thats bullshit, no way alonso should earn almost double what hamilton makes. Cant be serious. Ferrari seriously overpays its drivers, even raikonnen got 20 or 25 million if i remember correctly.

I hope vettel got some bonuses.

The unfortunate thing is, Button keeping up with Hamilton is exactly the problem for McLaren.

The part of me that wants to see McLaren win again is saying that Button has to be replaced by someone shit. But to be honest, I want Button to stay at McLaren, it would be a major injustice if they gave him the shove.

RBR has some sort of payout scheme based on results (including the mechanics etc) as well, so this is just the base salary.
(which also means Vettels mechanics are getting paid more lol)

Basically you want a second webber? Thats bullshit, i actually respect mclaren somwhat because both of their drivers are contenders to win. Ferrari and Red bull have a 1st driver and 2nd driver. At mclaren its 2 1st drivers, i actually like that.
