That was perfect lap by Rosberg. Mercedes looking very strong on harder tyre, maybe their updates work

Guys, guys, I regret to say that the result for the race on sunday has already been decided.

Hamilton wins it.

I will be working come sunday and will be unable to watch the race. Let's see if it happens again. :lol

Maldonoobo :D

Mclaren is looking very unpleasant to drive over that bumps, Ferrari also. Renault and RBR are so stable over that part, like there is no bumps on the circut.

End of session and McLaren and surprisingly Mercedes look like the teams to beat. We all know what's really going to happen though, a Red Bull pole.

Hamilton did practice start from P2 - probably they count that RBR will show their true pace tommorow. Mercedes looking good on one lap (and on harder tyre), but we will see about their race pace.

Both teams (Mercedes and Mclaren) are playing with engine mapping for this race.

Did Ferrari bring any upgrades for this weekend?
They did and they should be quite massive (new FW, RW, suspension modifications...) . But maybe they messed up again with wind tunnel data correlation or other teams did bigger steps. Even Alonso said for Autosport that they gained around .200 and nothing more.

I'm so glad that Vettel finally got a haircut!

Vettel just gained 678 respect points from me.

Great to see Button up the top, usually he has a good weekend when he tops practice, so here's hoping this weekend goes well for him.

I'm glad Vettel finally has one error this year that I can jump upon just incase someone claims he's faultless, regardless of it being in the rain haha.

Get to watch F1 in HD for the first time this weekend since the race is in the afternoon. I don't have freeview HD in my room, so I've just been sat in bed watching SD for the last 3 races because it's too early for me to be bothered to go downstairs.

Turkey is our first chance to see the 2011 command centers.

And I'm sorry for the large dimensions and excessive sharpening--that's how they were when I found them.

The Renault exhaust pic reminded me, if we get another wet session this weekend be sure to keep an eye out on it when watching from the side (those of you who haven't seen it in FP1). The exhaust blows the water off to the side, particularly noticeable when up- and down-shifting.

Can someone please explain to me how the teams move those huge mobile bases from race to race?

It's the only thing in F1 I've never been able to understand.

No biggie if you have the awesome image re-size script for NeoGAF!

Ferrari's center looks surprisingly lame. Sauber has definitely the best looking command center.

I love how the Lotus place looks like a shed.

I know that much, but still....Just one of the many wonders of Formula 1.

Just watched the highlights of P1 and P2, looked more eventful than usual.

Those bumps are mad.

Rosberg is 28/1 for pole... hmm

Edit: Fuck it, I stuck £2 on him. Worth a punt. Now watch RBR/McLaren wipe the floor with them!

I demand money as your champion - I get 10% off all winnings forever.

28/1 is really not a bad shout, but I think Webber has it this time.

D'Ambrosio gets 5 place grid penalty for ignoring flags
Posted: Friday May 06th 2011, 19:49 GMT
Jerome d'Ambrosio has received a five place grid penalty for ignoring yellow flags. The incident occurred in the second practice session when Pastor Maldonado crashed his Williams at the exit of turn 8. Maldonado spun his car in a similar way as Sebastian Vettel.

According to the FIA d'Ambrosio failed to slow down sufficiently. He is almost most certain to start from the back of the grid Sunday.

D'Ambrosio gets a 5 place penalty for not following the yellow flags... stupid mistake.
