Isn't it extremely ironic that these last two years when Phil Spencer put in the work and made it happen with Japanese developers in regards to de facto exclusives Sony used to get that now are also on Xbox, we now see first party software threw in the towel and went multiplatform?
It's so hilariously sad that Xbox gamers are finally getting a near full breadth of Japanese games (I say near because Falcom is still a holdout)that skipped the entire Xbox One generation, and the moment this massive third party gap gets corrected we see Microsoft throw in the towel with their own software.
This is why it makes me think Spencer had nothing to do with their multi-platform strategy. He clearly put in the work to make the Xbox line up as strong as can be, but then his boss forced him to give up with his own software.
