The game's dead. If it isn't dead (which it is), it's been so dramatically retooled and reworked that it's not the game anymore and you should look forward to something new from the people that actually work at Sony Japan and not the corpses that failed on this game for over five years.

If someone from Team ICO or Sony would like to contact me to give me the full story of this game's development or explain why exactly we haven't seen anything from this game in four years, they can write it on some toilet paper and I'll wipe my ass with it cause this is all bullshit.

I always believed that the game was just constantly been worked on to achieve some standard Team ICO requires for all their games. But now it's become apparent that the game has really been canned and Sony doesn't know how and doesn't want to publicly announce its been canceled to avoid any negative pr for them or the PS4 this early in the generation.
 
I believe this is part of Y2Kev's long-game campaign to force Sony to show the TLG, proving, finally, that it still exists. After all, it was he who single-handedly caused the RE4 HD remasters for 360/PS3/PC to be made thanks to his thread about how RE4 is still the best.

Don't underestimate his influence over the industry.

Just see what happens. Don't get your hopes up but also don't rule it out. No point in doing either until it's confirmed to be dead or not.
 
Even if it wasnt show (um if you expected TLG this year on E3..ROLF) the game is still alive.

I dont get whats hard to understand about just letting Sony let the official word out. OP dont take anything GAFers say to you personally. No one is calling you out so just let it be. The game is not dead, still in development. Everyone just wait until its re-unveiled or cancelled. Thats all we can do. Just let it be like HL3. It'll come eventually, I know this while Valve fans say otherwise. Be at peace with yourself.

We may have lost The Last Guardian, but we're getting a Ratchet and Clank Movie! Yeah!!

IGN's source was probably right and Sony is just doing damage control now because they weren't ready to announce the cancellation.

If Sony was going to cancel Last Guardian, they would have released a statement during that stretch of time where I'd completely forgotten that it ever existed.
 
Of course it is dead. I've said if before but they're just keeping that game in a state of coma and they won't pull the plug because it keeps landing some extra console sales down the road.
 
Guys, why don't you understand. The only reason Sony said that it's still in development is to keep the joke going on and on and on. That gif in far off future is our true reality.

Were people actually expecting this after they just basically had to come out and confirm its existence? I think you guys took that quote just a little too wrongly.
