The Last Guardian is dead and you will deal

Hello Ponies,

It has come to my attention that yet another E3 has passed and some vaporware trash game called The Last Guardian decided not to show its hideous face yet again. I know, I know. You have all heard my warnings and my decrees that you shouldn't be hyped for this game because it no longer exists. That you shouldn't be hyped for this game because it wouldn't be at E3. And that you shouldn't be hyped for this game because you look all sloppy when you get emotional and your makeup is terrible.

But of course some of you chose not to listen. You'll believe and believe and believe while Big Men in Suits tell jokes about NAPA VALLEY and preach to you about innovative crossmedia polymorphic free to play content.

The game's dead. If it isn't dead (which it is), it's been so dramatically retooled and reworked that it's not the game anymore and you should look forward to something new from the people that actually work at Sony Japan and not the corpses that failed on this game for over five years.

If someone from Team ICO or Sony would like to contact me to give me the full story of this game's development or explain why exactly we haven't seen anything from this game in four years, they can write it on some toilet paper and I'll wipe my ass with it cause this is all bullshit.

I expected nothing to be shown during Sony's conference and wasn't disappointed. The twitter message from last week pretty much suggested this. Anyway, if this game really continues to be in development, then it makes no sense that they STILL have NOTHING to show, and haven't shown anything since the original announcement. Doesn't add up.

My hypothesis is that TLG has been paired down to a 2D side-scrolling platformer with elements of A Boy and his Blob gameplay and will be released as a PSN game for $15.

I'm still believing. Sony acknowledged it's still in development. I don't think they'd do that if it really was dead. Haters gonna hate.

And shouldn't this be ban-worthy? Seems like a troll thread. Or is it because he's a mod? If so, this is a clear case of power not used responsibly. Uncle Ben is disappointed.

The thing that has disgusted me the most about this whole thing is that Sony (and Square Enix , for that matter) seem totally tone deaf.

They know that people have been waiting on this damn game for years, and they just drag their feet on without a single peep. I wanna know who keeps giving Team ICO a pass. If this were EA, this game would've came out a couple years after it was announced. If this were Ubisoft, this would be a yearly title by now. This kind of shit would get any other studio shitcanned, but Sony keeps dragging along...

disgusting post. imagine if a sony executive reads this and succumbs to spending fifteen precious seconds of their sacred time to rebuff it in a tweet. think of all the creative wonders which could have been conjured up in that time that you have now denied the world.

I'm glad this cancelled, whenever I see someone talk about this I can never understand the hype. It was a prerendered trailer that showed no game play. yet people go nuts over it.

Lmao

So... if I am a member of the staff I can skip the forum rules and trolling?

Because I'm pretty sure if I do this with any game I'll be permanently banned.

Classy...

Sometimes extreme measures must be taken to break the deluded so they can be cured.

This game has probably changed so far from it;s original vision when it was last shown. TLG that was revealed in 2009 doesn't exist anymore.
