Actually scratch that. Any multitargetting ability crashes my game. I think I'm done until they fix some of these bugs because I have to restart everytime since it messes up my sound.

Are you running in full screen or windowed?

Settings, PC info? You're literally the first person I've seen here with that issue. I know I've been using crafts and arts that target multiple enemies and never had an in-battle crash at all.

Fullscreen mode at 2560x1600. Everything is set to high or standard. I've had four crashes and all in battle using either Hurricane or Swordwind Slash on stuff.

Hey, guys.

I haven't had a chance to read the thread yet--been kind of taking the past couple days to unwind. Thought I'd say some stuff in addition to the blog that I've noted since I run the XSEED twitter, too.

I've read lots of stuff about regional pricing issues, specifically in Brazil and in Mexico. The one in charge of setting prices is out until some time next week, but I've e-mailed them. I don't know what happened or if it was intentional to begin with, but I've let the concerns be known. Hopefully they'll respond and see if something can be said officially within a week. Sorry for the wait.

For Europe PSN, we don't predict launch will be that far off. Definitely within the year, and that's a generous window (time to knock on wood since the Curse of Kiseki is always active).

I'll try and implement another around of text updates for anything missed in SC early next week or over the weekend. When I received the game for QA back in March, I admittedly didn't get to play it much. In fact, I still haven't physically beaten the game--I had to stop at the opening of chapter 4 and move to reading through text files full time. Sounds strange, being the fan I am, but it became a lot more efficient that way.

Large as this game is (and due to unusual formatting), I only was able to sift through about 75% of the game in six~ months. Of course, the game had two actual editors before me, so that shouldn't be anything to worry about. I think it helped clean up major scenes and terms for the most part. Like said in the blog, however, I'm always willing to further clean up the text if time allows it to bring everyone the best Trails experience possible. Because I just sort of feel like it, I'd still like to take my nights and weekends to read through the remaining 25% or so of text I've yet to read, which is mostly NPC-related stuff.

If you happen to see something that you want to bring up--text bugs, an unusual translation missed, anything--you can always write to support@xseedgames.com and address it to me. I've had a few e-mails already (thanks, double spaces guy!), and hopefully I can get back to them soon. I wasn't lead editor for FC/SC obviously, but I do have the ability to alter text for the PC versions at this point if it's absolutely needed for things like typos or major mistranslations, and I'm always happy to keep this series as polished as it can be.

Lastly, Sara will have a blog tonight about the many things she's done for the games with her amazing programming. It'll definitely be up in the afternoon, and it's a wonderful read.

Only 2 hours in but loving the game so far, it plays like a good RPG should in terms of combat, story and core game mechanics. I think I'm going to take my time and enjoy this one, very few games coming out nowadays are as enjoyable as these are.

Not that they're at all important, but I'm not sure if anybody saw the two "issues" I posted yesterday.

Low priority stuff but I thought I'd point them out anyway.

Still not perfectly centered but it looks like this for me (1080p, hi-res fonts and boosted font size enabled):
3GUq76S.jpg

I haven't even got to the casino yet. ._.

Back at Kaldia Tunnel. It sucks that you can't visit Limestone Cave immediately, but just being able to go all the way back to Air-Letten a bit after landing in Zeiss is cool. And it's great for power-leveling and using the excess CP I've been carrying for Agate.

Also, the
gambling
request in Ruan is equally frustrating (though predictable) and hilarious. It's one of the more carefree missions, and the failure conversation's interesting to read.

For the prelude chapter I'm having a hard time finding
my gear in the forest. I found the armor, one of the boots and the fender but can't find the rest.
Where's the rest? Feel like I've been through the entire forest twice

It's a bit mazelike, but they are all there.
Estelle's weapon was the hardest for me to find, it's on an offshoot right passed another chest. I think it was the one with the Fencer.

I haven't managed to encounter a single shining pom yet. Usually the little horse bushes on the Ruan coast turn into 6 of them after a few tries, but no such luck now.

EDIT: Just as I say that,

Just made a straight flush at the casino. Luck is really smiling upon me today.

I actually originally didn't realize that you could even find Estelle and Anelace's weapons there (I found everything else easily), and went through the boss fight at the end of the forest without them. Afterwards I realized what I had done and went back for them.

You can find Shining Poms mixed with monsters on normal battles on the Prologue chapter in
Alexia Forest

Also there is a rare monster that appears in Chapter 1 on
the road for Sapphire Tower called Sasa Panda
it appears sometimes in normal battles, gives a lot of experience and drops a rare weapon for Estelle.

Yeah, I know all about that. :) Thanks, though.

Ugh, I spoke to Anton during Chapter 2 and I immediately got the "Odyssey of Anton" achievement. :< Anyone else ran into this issue?

The GoG Stream just ended, she played to near the end of the first dungeon. Lots of delicious shilling advertising for the GoG 50% off sale of FC as well.

File Size:
PSP: 2.4 GB across two files

So is there any chance of being able to play this on a PSP with a 2 GB memory card? 2.4 GB is of course bigger than 2 GB, but since it's split over two "discs", perhaps I could install and play the discs sequentially one at a time?

Certain sidequests require disc swapping so it's not a matter of playing disc one then exclusively playing disc 2.

I suppose technically you could download both files and keep them somewhere and when the disc change is required just delete the one file and replace it with the needed one but that'd be pretty cumbersome after a while. If you've got $15 it might be worth buying a new stick for the convenience, haha.

Finished Chapter 2. Skipped one of the Guild quests
(the one where you go around the two rooms with a metal detector... Fuck that)
, but did all the rest.
Zane's entrance
was fantastic.

How many chapters are there, by the way?

I'm not gonna call it a bug, but maybe an oversight? The text at the casino exchange counter is really low resolution and blurry. This is without the large text setting turned on.

The cursor is also mis-aligned. The red box is as far right as it goes, in the screenshot, but pressing up actually changes the value where the 1 is.

Just confirming this is still an issue. Also, the menu when selecting to buy medals or trade for prizes is bugged when using a controller (as in, the selections don't highlight and thus can't be selected). You have to use the mouse to proceed past it.

EDIT: happens when you're trying to choose how many prizes to redeem, too.

Has anyone actually used the PSP save data in the first post. I don't think it's a 100% clear. I don't seem to have the quartz item, at least. Do you get it separately from the other items?

Could you give this one a try? I'm still working through my own 100% replay currently or I'd have just used my own.

If this one doesn't work either I hope somebody can send me a 100% save to add to the OP.

I tried that one but it's not actually a clear save (though I think it is 100%). It's saved right before the end of the game. I don't actually own TitS FC on Vita, so I can't open it to go through the final conversation and credits and then re-save it as clear data. Someone who had the game could, though, I think.

Yeah, that's what I thought which is why I posted the second one. Alrighty, thanks!

If anybody has legit 100% clear data for FC PSP I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for forwarding that! Hope something can be done, but I guess people that have already bought the game at the price will feel wronged, and a refund can only apply if you've played less than 2 hours.
I'll probably still buy even if there's nothing that can be done about that. I'm just raising the steam wallet.

I still can't decide to buy this or not. I mean, Xenoblade X is coming out in just over 30 days.... I know I'm not going to finish this before then. Do I dare start a new JRPG before another JRPG gets released?

I'm still playing through Ocarina of Time 3D and Link to the Past, so it's not like I'm bored with nothing to play.

I feel like this is a game I can't wait a couple of months and pick it up another time. But then again, Fire Emblem Fates and Bravely Second are right around the corner in 2016....

Damn. Looks like I'm going to play A LOT of JRPGs in 2016. So far 2015 has been a bust year for me. The only JRPG I've gone through this year was Radiant Historia... and it was okay. Great battle system, but the story and writing was leagues below TitS FC.

With the amount of stuff getting released next year, I doubt you'll find a 30 day window to play it like the one you have now.
Get it now. Even if you're not done with it by the time Xenoblade is out you can play both for a while. They are very different games after all.

Concluded Chapter 1. Spoiler for the end of chapter 1.

Boy the Bleublaunc theme is pretty kickass. I laughed at Bleublanc and Olivier argument about beauty, those two deserve each other.

Olivier da best <3

I was in the exact same position. I'm currently playing Kingdom Hearts BBSFM and waiting for Xenoblade X next month. I decided to go ahead and buy Trails SC (it's downloading as I type this) because 1) I want to support the game, I wanted it so badly for years now and 2) I'm going to try to beat it before Xenoblade X. Hopefully I can!

Posted it on XSEED's forums, but I made some edits to that Neoseeker guide by Xcomp that was posted here before. Specifically, I removed all the intro sections so it only includes the "walkthrough" part, and within that all of the synopsis parts so it doesn't include the story summaries. It should be basically spoiler free now and just function as an ordered checklist of things to do at each point in the game.

So, disclaimers: It's not my work, I just cut out portions of the original guide, so I don't take any credit for the guide itself.

I don't guarantee it is 100% spoiler free. I haven't read the entire thing, I've just loosely used it for the prologue and early chapter 1. It seems like without those synopses it should be as spoiler free as a guide could reasonably be though.

I don't guarantee it covers a 100% playthrough. Again, I didn't read the whole guide, I've never played the game before this, so I don't know that it hits every single missable.

Finally, because this is a guide intended for importers, it doesn't use the same terminology and translations that XSEED's release does. Generally, it doesn't seem to be difficult to realize what's being referred to though.

With that out of the way, here's a link to view/download it. Here is the original guide.

Edit: Noticed I saved it wrong so all the Japanese characters were lost. Shouldn't matter, but I might fix it later.

Thanks, this should be helpful.

So I downloaded the game and did the config launcher. It only lets me choose my on-board video card (Intel 5500 HD on my laptop) vs my main card (GTX 950M). I think the Intel will play it fine, but it's a bit annoying if I have issues. Can you think of any way to fix this?

For those who are playing on the Vita, are you playing with bifiltering on or off? A little bummed it's so blurry :( Wish I was more into PC gaming since the Steam version appears to be the superior way to go..

If you have any PC/laptop released in the last 5-10 years and any last gen controller, you could play the PC version just like a console version.

Same issue here, also a problem with FC.

Well, let's get in some more information as that may help narrow down the problem: When clicking Manage 3D Settings for nVidia Control Panel if you click on Add it won't show either the game or the config as a recently used program. You can manually add both programs and tell them to use the nVidia GPU, but far as I can tell this is ignored. the nVidia GPU Activity indicator says that it isn't in use, whereas this will work with other games even when toggled out.

Hope that helps in either narrowing down the problem or at least cementing it as unsolvable!

I think some will still have issues. But if you're not going for the cheapest of the cheap it'll be OK problem. For reference's sake that Intel HD 5500 runs the game at a near constant 60 fps at 1080p, and that's the common integrated solution in anything over, say, $400 or $500. So use that as a bare minimum of what to go for if getting a new computer.

I used the k file and it worked (the max bp test is whether I got a Fortune quartz from Kurt, right?). I tried it because I was getting a hotlinking warning off the L file in the OP.

It's not a clear file, but it basically is a save from right before the very final story sequence (Estelle and Joshua in the square) of FC PSP. It was a good place to load up since it's been forever since I played FC. I saved a clear file after completing that bit and got the Fortune quartz from Kurt in the prologue of SC when I loaded from it.

When I get home I can upload the clear file I made based on that save, if people don't have another way of getting it.

I know, but it's not just the controls that are a turn off. Console gaming takes me so much longer nowdays versus something with a portability factor.
