on one hand i really want to discover things by myself..on the other i really wanna know where the korok woods/forest is because i need space in my inventory :(

This is the only thing I looked up and for that very reason. But you can get it if you look at the official collectors edition map, so is it really cheating?

What do you guys do when you're out of weapons? Do you just go off exploring, find more enemies and take their shit or is there a more efficient way? My weapons keep breaking on
Waterblight Ganon
boss. The durability system doesn't bother me in general but I think everything breaks too fast and arrows are expensive as fuck. At least for me. I don't have a lot of rupees (I think 1,007 was my last count) but I don't want to spend a lot on arrows.
Have you been upgrading your inventory? I've never ran out of weapons, I save all my best weapons for strong monsters and keep steady supply of magic rods. If you go into a dungeon make sure you stock up first before you start.

I have 20 hours of playtime logged on the parental controls app, and I only set that up at like 11pm on Sunday night lol. I seriously must have pumped at least 50 hours into this, and I only just got to
Zora's Domain and beat the Lynel
. This game is just fantastic. It's pretty much guaranteed to be in my top 5 favourite games ever at this point.

I can't believe that the Smash Bros Link amiibo probably gives you the best stuff in game. I always disliked that amiibo and of the Zelda ones its by far the worst one imo.

I'm looking at the functionality of the other ones and Wolf Link is cool, but I can't afford to buy Twilight Princess HD =/ I want the Guardian amiibo, but the Zelda ones seem pretty useful. The only one I actually own is Toon Link.

I have hit a serious wall that I am too hard headed to back down from. And also it's kinda fun.

I landed on an island waaaaay out to the southeast, figuring there might be some fun stuff to explore. Instead, the whole island is a challenge. They strip you of all of your gear, and you have to get three Spheres to their different platforms, while scrounging up whatever supplies you can to help you survive. Of course, you have to both find the spheres and find the pads they go on. I've finished one, found another Sphere, just trying to figure out how to get it to the pad. And I have no idea where the third Sphere is yet. But it is damn hard, and you can't save. If you leave, you reset. Thankfully you get to keep your toys like bombs and stuff, so that is helpful. Honestly, this better get me way more than just a bloody Orb.

Still... it is pretty exciting.

Loving this game on the Wii-U, been climbing mountains and finding shrines for the most part so far and it's so much fun.

The only downside is the god awful framerate on Wii-U. Really hope some type of performance patch is in the works or I'm going to have to get a Switch earlier than I would like :(

Also every arrow you shoot, you can pick up again.

I know, I love this. I was in a shrine with water rushing down a slant, shot an arrow toward the top, and the arrow floated back down to me. So good.

There really isn't all that much to spend on other than armor and arrows.

Also the fairy stuff which is pricey! I'm just afraid to blow all my rupees because I don't know what the hell I'll run across.

Wait until you get to the
fourth Great Fairy
. A cool
10,000 Rupees
.

As such!

Just once so far.

Where do you buy that?
Hint version:
Investigate around ghoulish-looking lakes.

Guide version:
You need to find a man named Kilton, he's located on the shorter eye pillar of Skull Lake in Akkala at night. Once you talk to him, he'll begin selling things at various cities at night (he's up on the right cliff after walking away from the shrine in Zora's Domain, for example.) He doesn't accept rupies, you need to trade in monster parts for "mon", his own currency. When I first did this he didn't have the Dark Link set so you might have to go to him on multiple nights, but when he has the option, the armor is 3997 mon combined. So you need a lot of monster parts.

Okay, so I'm going to give the most vague possible hint I can.

Think about Korok forest and the lore around Koroks and their history in the series. Maybe some of the characters in the series that were Koroks or related to Koroks or the Lost Woods. Look around the map a bit. Hopefully you have decent chunks of it revealed

The towns in this game are perfect 😢

They're really fantastic. Just being in them. The game feels like it's alive.

6464 1434 7126 is my friend code, I don't see any designated friend code exchange threads for Switch so I'm popping it in here and in the launch thread, the more the merrier.

According to reddit apparently if you throw a rusted weapon at an octorock while its inhaling it will suck the weapon and throw it back as new, sucking the rust off.

This game.

Can confirm.

It's like the designers spent most of their time trying to find out how to stuff little gameplay quirks into as much shit as possible, but then also spent most of their time designing a coherent and fun to traverse open world, but also spent most of their time designing varied and endlessly enjoyable combat system, but also spent most of their time etc etc etc

Looking for basic hint on DB
Elephant
looking for a way to reach the
4th terminal. Can't reach the snout so trying to reach its head area. Am I doing it right by trying to jump off the trunk to glide into its head?
cause after several gliding attempts I'm starting to think I'm on the wrong track again.

Yep, i don't care if the world is going to explode tomorrow or wandering away from a town will get me killed by a monster, i want to live in hateno
They are beautiful too i realized that when i spend 15 minutes just looking at Kakariko (again).
And still apparently there are way more to visit, this game just keeps giving!

Man this game.

I love that I can go to a combat shrine off the beaten path that's clearly above my level but beat it anyways.

This isn't your dad's zelda.

ikr? I have only been on 3 (
Kakariko, Hateno and Zora's Domain
) and they all feel so lively and right.

Love the details of peple runing for shelter when it rains, changing what they are doing according to the time of day and also watching some merchant that I met on the roads go to the stores to restock their inventory.

The towns are amazing but can we talk about the kids. The kids in this game are adorably designed and written, and of all races! The first time I saw a little Zora I wanted to cry it was so cute. And then it said I looked funny...

Where should I go after Hateno Village? Seems like the game really opens after that with Divine Beasts quests, but I went to a few different places and the enemies all seem to be much tougher than what I faced up to now.

Yeah they're great. When I saw the child Zoras I think I dawww'd so much it made me black out.

And the kids running around and playing in Hateno is exactly the kind of detail that makes the world feel alive. LIVED IN unlike
A Link Between Worlds
(lol)

The Zora kids are adorable.

I really hope there are little baby Gorons rolling around Goron City.

So I used my sunshroom I found to cook a recipe but now the tech lab wants me to to a quest with it, where can I find another one?
