I agree with you Anasui, the updated Castle Town is simply awesome, the inside of the shops are fantastic as well. I can only imagine what Clock Town would look like if they remade Majoras Mask, plus I reckon all the other locations in it would look great in 3D.

Just finished the fire temple. Now where is my diving suit?
Go to Zora's domain, head to the lake where jabu jabu was and head over to the mini dungeon to get blue flames and something else, use these to de-freeze the king for the blue tunic.

Christ I loath the inside of Jabu Jabu's belly. It is without a shred of doubt my least favourite Zelda dungeon, across every single Zelda game, by a good country mile.

I hate every second of it.
What's so bad about it?

Why is that? The only thing I could think of is that it is too straightforward.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

Probably nothing, I've just always hated it. I hate the setting, the puzzles, and I hate having to deal with with Ruto. The whole thing is one long drawn out tedious frustration. I hated it as a kid, I hated it on replays, I hated it during Master Quest, and I hate it in the remake.

I really hate Jabu Jabu's belly.

Jabu Jabu's belly is awesome in Master Quest and everyone who has played it in MAster Quest knows why. :p

You only need Din's Fire once and not at the Fire Temple.

Hey, what goes in the blank spot on the equipment screen next to the skulltulas? I can't think of anything that would go there and I just finished the Shadow Temple.

agreed, making me anticipate WiiU more now

Wow the Shadow Temple is so lengthy. I've honestly been in here for nearly two hours! One thing I will never forget about this game is that it honestly has the longest dungeons of any game Ive played.

It's a really easy dungeon though, I don't get why people have such a hard time with it.

Same here! I'm at that point in the game and delaying it as much as possible. I'm running around getting upgrades and looking for heart pieces and skulltulas and trading masks...but I think the time has come to just face it and get it over with. At least I can become an adult when it's done!

Jabu Jabu's belly starts really shitty, but once you get the boomerang it becomes so much more fun. But it's still my least favourite dungeon in the game. Hate the mini-boss as well.

It's not so much that it's difficult... just really fucking annoying.

I remember it being worse as a kid. I just beat it yesterday, pretty easily. I can't say it was terrible. Tainted memories. I just don't understand how big his damn stomach is.

This. But I still don't want to deal with carrying Ruto around. At least the dungeon is really really short.

Beat the Deku Tree dungeon this morning so up next is Hyrule Castle. Loving everything about this remake so far, the 3D is great, the motion aiming is very precise and the updated graphics give the game a fresh look.

Why do they make this game so hard and frustrating. Its so tiring to relentlessly die against the boss in the Shadow Temple and then waste so much time having to get back to the room, never have I been so annoyed and frustrated! There is no way to stun both his hands in time to avoid attack!

I always loved the shadow temple, I loved the atmosphere it had, I always found the dungeons in OoT to be just the right length, they don't get tedious and they are so perfectly designed they are a joy to go through each time I play the game. I don't think I've hated any dungeon in any of the Zeldas I've played, I love them all.
In my opinion Twilight Princess has the longest dungeons of any Zelda I've played and it also has some of my favourites too.

To your newer post, I always found that boss to be one of the easiest in the game.

How do you relentlessly die against Bongo Bongo? He's a cinch with targeting and the improved frame-rate.

lol That was literally the easiest boss for me. Hitting both his hands with arrows was super easy with targetting.

Also if you are tired of returning to the room, you can use the warp spell (if you have it) and place it near the door I think.

Finally got it.

3D is ok, bit distracting in some parts
Controls need work, analog sucks on 3DS and hand hurts playing it for an hour plus
Screen always seems too dark, maybe an in-game setting to fix this?

I like the updated areas though

I never finished the n64 version so hopefully I can get through this one.

Use the arrows? I was using the sword. I could stun one hand but by the time I got a bearing on where the other was, it would rush at me and catch me. The targeting sometimes went wonky, it would want to keep retargeting the one that was already stunned.

Couldnt place a warp in front of the door, it wouldnt let me use Farore's Wind in front of the boss door.

Rule #1 of Zelda : If the sword isn't good enough for a boss, use an item that make sense.

I'm not sure if this is the intended way or not, but for the chickens:
you can use another chicken to float over the fence leading to the last two, but you have to do it from on top of the fence in front of the windmill. The other five are easy enough to find.

Easy? One of them is in a crate, and you need a bomb. Right? So, you have to beat Dodongo first.

When I got to Jabu Jabu's Belly, my first thought was "looks like the game stopped fucking around". Having to dodge lots of critters you can't kill when you enter the dungeon doesn't exactly spell fun but at least it's a great source of satisfaction once you finally get the dungeon item. Plus, I expected the "escort" aspect of the dungeon to be much, much worse due to my experience with Wind Waker. As it was, it seemed pretty bearable. So yeah, I guess I kinda liked the dungeon.

Not being able to open the door in the first room if you're stuck without Deku Seeds and don't have the dungeon item sucks, though.

Unless you think you did something wrong and can't access the boss room, while wasting an hour or more looking for Ruto.

I think of Princess Ruto as a weapon rather than something I need to escort during that part of the game, you can use her rather handily if the situation calls for it.

I'm really loving how the 3D effect enhances the feeling of actually falling when you jump off of a high ledge. There have been multiple times that I've actually gotten that feeling in the pit of my stomach after jumping off of a cliff or whatever.

Equip the Hover Boots. Now you don't get stunned by his drumming. Aim fast with L-targeting at his hands with the bow, then be ready to hit him as he charges you.

Play Zelda 2 or Majora's Mask and get back to me.

Iron Knuckle's axe attack sure hurt a lot in the regular mode, 4 hearts! Does that mean you lose 8 hearts in Master Quest?

75% of the bosses in this gave have been difficult or frustrating, if Im able to complete this game, then I dont think I can try another Zelda game again, unless theyve scaled back the difficulty and are more generous with providing health before and during boss fights, items too. Running out of my 20 bombs and 30 arrows while a boss is still alive is massively annoying, and the boss wipes out nearly half of my hearts in one hit.

Now that's just a lie. But then again, you are DTL. I could understand the rest of the post for you just being horrible at Zelda games, but that..

your doing it wrong.
All the bosses are about 5 hits. You just need to find the trick (usually a obvious item)

They did. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are much easier.

By the way, are you using the Sheika Stone? If you die against a boss, it can give you hints on how to beat it. Of course, you'll have to warp o the Temple of Time to use it, which does limit its use.

I had to laugh when one of those electric snake style things hit me while carrying Ruto causing me to drop Ruto on top of it, I had no idea her backside was such a potent weapon.

Ive never entered a single boss fight with full containers, the usual is 4-8, then I get hit since I have no clue what the boss will do before hand, and am down to 1-3 :(
