i think some serious questions will need to be asked of dhoni, the issue regarding tendulkar, sehwag and gambhir not playing together was a bit of an issue. even though the 3 failed 2nite, dhoni's performance wasnt exactly all that flash.
perhaps he needs time off, clearly he's not the same damaging player he was before he became captain... well at least imo

Its not just his personal game but his choices have been pretty wtf. He plays Jadeja with a guaranteed slot and that guy for the sake of his life cant hit big shots neither is he a specialist bowler.
Dhoni kept Pathan out of the team not just in ODIs but in tests as well. Besides he refuses to change the batting order like its one of the ten commandments.
I dont think Dhoni's got an personal issue with Sehwag though. I listen to Dhoni's hindi chat with Sehwag in the stump mic. Its just that Sehwag has been a disaster, much like Haddin this entire tour.
He wants to play Jadeja/Raina/Ashwin/Rohit over Gambhir/Tendulkar/Pathan. Its clear that he's got some great rapport with his "gang" as they play for CSK together but .. this is India and not CSK.

I don't understand why the Indian team is so shit. They have a huge population base that loves cricket, so a large talent pool to choose from. They have so much money thrown at the sport. Even the current lineup seems pretty scary on paper with some big names. Why the heck have they been dominated this summer?
Because they refuse to tell the greats who are out of form to retire.

Dilshan put on a clinic. Incredible. Sanga finally getting his ton too. Shame he couldn't see it through to the end. Perera's wicket was silly but the damage had already been done.
India need 321 within 40 for the bonus point right? Around 8 an over. That's a big ask, given their form. If they do it, they deserve the tournament.
If India loses, the decision to bowl first is going to be hotly debated. Only the Indian commentators seemed convinced it was a good idea. Will be interesting to see if they flip flop given a loss. Given that India needed the BP, they didn't have much of a choice I guess.
I want to stay up for India's innings but too tired. Might watch the first 10. A few quick wickets and I might just call the match for SL and go to sleep.

It is because Dhoni has less (zero) confidence in his bowling unit atm and for good reason. I dont think it will be a hot topic at all.
I think the biggest reason for the failure of the Indian team on this tour is the coach and his man-management skills.
When Kirsten was coach we did not get to hear any stories of unrest in the changing room which suddenly seem to be popping up. Obviously Dhoni and Sehwag might have played a role but i believe there is politics in each team its upon the coach how he handles these things. Fletcher just cannot command the respect of the team as Kirsten did.
