The Nostalgia Critic |OT| He Remembers It So You Don't Have To

Y'know what, I've never watched a single one of those all the way through.

Kickassia, Suburban Knights, To Boldly Flee... none of 'em.

Well, Doug has made it through The Great Divide, Avatar Day, and The Beach without hating any of them. He's done well. Now to see his opinion on Nightmares and Daydreams.

I'm surprised at how enjoyable Dragonbored was

Indeed. It was a lot like the Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt. I get the feeling that all the other shorts will be like that (considering Nash is playing a horror host).

Confession: I think Kickassia is by far the best anniversary video despite apparently it is the most hated. I also really had fun with it. They remind me of all the stupid fun videos me and my buddies used to make when we were younger.

I TOTALLY get why many think they are garbage tho. You really need to have a certain view for them to be enjoyable.

If you want a riff/review of the three specials without it being spiteful or extremely mean-spirited (I've seen one where the riffer says he wants to punch Spoony in his "Jew nose"), then look for the Nostalgia Critic's own reviews. They're on a DVD, so I imagine someone uploaded them to YouTube.

Lindsay as Sarah Palin was the best part. Well, one of the best parts. I love that special. It's my favorite. It was also the start of the Critic's "character" becoming a crazy megalomaniac in the specials. Doug as that guy from that video game movie who says "OF COURSE!" all the time was great. M.Bison? Is that right? Street Fighter? Possibly? I don't care.

Followed by the original which is how I discovered the site. (I had no idea who every single person in the video was except for the Nerd. It introduced me to a much bigger world of internet reviewing.)

I've only seen the third and fourth once each. But only because the website is so shitty at letting you see videos that aren't recent. So fucking shitty. Such a half-assed Google-based search system too. So horrible. But I've said that many times.

While the videos are flawed, thinking them outside as "these guys having fun for their anniversary" is a wrong perspective. It's just them whacking out and enjoying each other caught on film. It's not meant to be consumed as a theatrical film.

Todd in the shadows, The rap critic, and That Sci-fi guy are good as well.
I like Nostalgia critic but when he starts yelling/whining it gets annoying.

The website wouldn't be so bad if it had Email notifications for when your favorite reviewer uploads a video. Like YouTube. Each reviewer needs a "Subscribe" button and Email option to notify you. I wouldn't mind the site so much if they added that. And no, RSS feeds don't count.

I mean I feel dirty saying YouTube does something better. But it does in this case.

Many of them use blip and you can do all that on the blip site itself. I basically never go on the tgwtg page anymore.

Which kind of sucks in the sense that I never get to see the ones that switched to Springboard, but springboard doesn't do any of that kind of thing.

Thus the reason I need to use the site. There's no central location with subscriptions for these guys. It's a wonder some of them get popular at all.

Didnt he spend 200.000$ on a studio and some actors for Demo Reel? Kinda shameless to ask for money after his first failure...

Not to mentioned the forced ads he shoves up peoples asses in his videos.
He even started to make act breaks for ads in the middle of his videos!

Saw a video that someone else upload of his & it looked awkward.

Batman 4... you mean the one with Tim Robin?

Outside of the weird designs I thought it was good. Also started some crossovers.

Now that he is so close to finishing Avatar I can not wait for him to review the movie!

He has been trough so much with the series, from I think its ok to OMG BEST show ever to having a real connection to the characters.

I really really hope that the review is as good as the room or good burger.

I can already tell he's going to absolutely detest Legend of Korra.

Oh, MAN. I can't wait till he tears it a new one!

i don't think he'll tear it a new one. korra was flawed, but good. plus, it's not done yet, so i don't think he'll do a nostalgia critic on it.

the vlogs seem to clearly be ramping up to a nostalgia critic about the movie though.

Next week would be a regular review, and he's about to finish Avatar. I wonder if he's timed it to review "The Last Airbender" right after...

Also wonder if he's going to do the last 4 episodes all at once or not.

Confused, so Nostalgia Critic is back?

Has his new episodes been good?

EDIT: Da fuck? I must have been living under a rock. He came back in January.

Does this cover anything about Sailor Stars? I'm on episode 170 something right now and don't wanna get spoiled.

He only briefly mentions the later seasons and focuses entirely on season 1. I didn't like it that much. He mentions a lot of stuff that was explained in the show (Like the Sailor V stuff), and pretty much just bitched about the show for 30 minutes.

Sounds like something completely out of his scope to begin with. I would much rather Nostalgia Chick tackle this, and not because of the gender roles.
