AFAIK, there was some speculation about the game was supposedly developped by the Yoshi's Island Team but in fact wasn't. I think some people debunked it by proving it was developped by Nintendo himself, even if the art style looks really similar to the Yoshi's New Island's art.

Even if the would announce the reveal, the nightmare wouldnt be over until they actually reveal it, and even then it wont stop. the loop will continue until its released...we are already locked inside this loop! locked just like those countless threads about NX beforehand...
I like that name a lot also and its probably the likeliest candidate I've heard, with the second likeliest bring Fusion. The only knock against it as someone pointed out is that it could indicate you're literally getting two different systems at once.
OTOH, perhaps the name won't reflect the hybrid nature at all. If Emily is correct and more form factors are coming eventually, maybe we get a name they can easily modify to reflect different kinds of models, whether or not they're hybrids. A name focused on the hybrid nature of the NX might make that more difficult.
After taking a short nap I realised that the focus on any twitter insider is not the way to go. Its time (for me at least) to sit down, play games, have some nice time with the family and just wait for the announcement.
And it doesnt matter what any of you are thinking about the NX right now...if there will be a teaser traier for Super Mario Galaxy 3 with the Gusty Garden theme you all will be hyped again.

I had an NX dream some months ago.
I was there for the reveal. It was in someone's living room, like proper english dirty sofa, shit wallpaper living room. Dark and dingy.
Miyamoto, Reggie, bill were all there, they were randomly talking about some games that no one wanted to care about, merchandise (Vans!) , then reggie comes along with a box and goes well this is what you all here for, and he pull out the NX. it was like a transformer, you could make it into shape you wanted, a plane, a spaceship, a car, it was like a magician making ballons.
Miyamoto kept getting angry phonecalls from his wife. And that was that.

Not a full complete reveal. But I'm not convinced we're getting one this or next week, nor did Emily say we're getting one, IIRC. What I meant is we could get PR or a short video for the initial reveal or teaser, with no advance notice. A fuller reveal could be weeks or months away.
Yeah, something like that. I dont think they'll use the NES name necessarily, especially since it has no relevance in Japan, but that general idea, yeah.

Personally, all this lack of info from Nintendo is not a good start for their new console.
Nintendo still has a lot to learn in terms of marketing and communication with their clients.
And of course, for Nintendo the term "Feedback" is still a unknown word.

Why attacking the person when she's doing nothing bad. Of course you can believe she's totally lying but then don't attack her (I find it stupid because she's not the average Nintendo rumors poster so even not 100% true she has some legit information).

The major gripe I have with Emily Rogers regarding her reporting of the NX, is that she ALWAYS appears to wait until somebody else with some credibility has something to reveal about the NX...and she then immediately after starts tweeting about how her own supposed "sources" told her the same thing, trying to give the impression that she's so amazing & important, and already knew beforehand what had just been revealed to the public.
As an example, she MASSIVELY latched onto the Eurogamer report, and interjected herself into the explicitly detailed leak about the NX, by doing what she always does...waiting for someone else to reveal something first, and then her adding a crappy tidbit or two of supposed "insider info" that's way too vague and non-specific to even mean much.
I just feel she's a bit of an opportunist, and I don't like how she continually hijacks leaks/reveals from other media sources, and tries to take credit for it.

How many of you guys honestly in your heart believe we will get some type of NX info from Nintendo this week? Be it a NX reveal announcement date or even just a PR saying what the NX is.

I know. I don't understand why people think there has to be an announcement of a reveal.
It's the internet age. They can just dump info, be it a direct or just details to media, on a whim.
It's unlikely we're going to get some huge blowout before the investors meeting. That will come next year in a bigger event when they reveal the price and specific launch date in March etc. But it also seems unlikely that they won't put out a general reveal of what it is, pictures of the hardware, details on some planned launch games before that meeting.
An investors meeting in Japanese isn't the way to reveal something in general, and especially when the biggest market is the western one. And ideally investors should know whats coming before the meeting so they can be prepared to ask questions.
As above, I'd be surprised if we didn't at least get the latter either late this week or a early next before the investors meeting. I lean toward it just being a PR dump of what the NX is, key features, key planned launch titles etc. with a bigger blow out in January or early February to build hype for the launch reveal.
I hope the direct won't be tuesday, I work until 6PM that day and the direct would surely be over by then...
