Alucard said:Seriously. It's been a great Olympics for Canada in terms of medal count. Could we have gotten more? Of course.

zedge said:Holy fuck Hamelin gets GOLD?!! WOOT
You better hope someone ties you in gold and silver so that those bronze's count.Solo said:Not only do we already have our most golds ever, but we're guaranteed at least 22 medals, which would put us just 2 shy of our highest ever. And I think we're getting more than 2 more.
Solo said:Its a total trainwreck of a finish. So awesome :lol
I think you might be thinking of a different racemaharg said:Here's what I remember. I switched back to hockey, and they're on to the relay now so aren't showing replays, so I don't guarantee I'm right, because this all happened really fast. But I'm pretty sure Hamelin can't have been in second because Ohno touched the Korean attempting to pass him and that's where the two of them stumbled.
- Ohno passed Hamelin
- Hamelin passed Ohno
- Korean attempted outside pass of Ohno
- Ohno touched Korean and dug in behind him
- Korean wiped out
- Ohno wiped out.

Ohno was last when he tried to go inside of Canadian Francois-Louis Tremblay on the final turn. The American's right leg appeared to hit Tremblay and sent him crashing into the padding.
South Korea's Sung Si-bak also went down, although it appeared he lost his balance.

Ohno is pissed. Better not fuck things up and go mental.
SpectreFire said:Agreed. Canada and US needs to unite to ensure Russia doesn't fuck up 2014 for us.
maharg said:See my edit. You guys are seriously completely off if you think Ohno was in lead when he wiped out. Are you confusing Hamelin with Tremblay?

Dude no one said ohno was leading. The Korean was leading which you would know if you actually watched the racemaharg said:See my edit. You guys are seriously completely off if you think Ohno was in lead when he wiped out. Are you confusing Hamelin with Tremblay?

:lol :loldurendal said:Wow. How many people are in this 5000m final?
Solo said:Ohno NEVER passed Hamelin, who was only passed by the Korean
You would have to be a complete idiot to actually believe this if you watch the replays. Seriously go watch them.Solo said:This isnt right.
The Korean passed Hamelin
Hamelin tried to pass the Korean
Ohno touched Tremblay, who wiped out
Tremblay then wiped out the Korean/Canadian version OR Hamelin wiped out the Korean/American version
Hamelin finishes first, Ohno second, Korean third, Tremblay fourth'
Ohno gets DQed
Nobody has EVER claimed this. You misread all the conversations.maharg said:Er. Ok? I already admitted my version was wrong. Twice.
The other version (where Hamelin 'stole' gold from Ohno) is still just as wrong.
Solo said:OMG so many skaters. What a fucking GONG SHOW :lol :lol
Alucard said:Seriously. It's been a great Olympics for Canada in terms of medal count. Could we have gotten more? Of course. But I am perfectly happy with our team's overall performance at these games.
The US really has nothing to complain about; they're leading the charge.
Is NBC not showing this live?Shard said:What is this thing I am watching, it is so strange.
