So I decided to let niko just stand on the sidewalk while I eat and surf the internet, so I can take in all the sounds the city makes, as well as watch the traffic flow (lots of accidents happend lol) when all of a sudden two guys start talking shit on me because im eastern european and start fighting me!!! Man this game keeps getting better and better. Dont worry, I pulled out my knife and cut those fools.

I always thought that Vice City > San Andreas > Liberty City.

After playing halfway through the single player and putting a good 5 hours into the MP GTAIV has not been able to really satisfy. Good ole GTA I guess, I expected 'next gen' after those glowing reviews, I can't help being dissapointed.

Man it must really take a lot to please you when it comes to games. GTAIV reeks of a next gen game.

This man, is by far the BEST GTA supporting character ever. I've only done 2 missions with him and I love him. Seriously, his accent is beyond amazing.

Its not very far in till you meet him. I would say around 7 or so missions depending on what ones you do. I though the rastafarian dude WAS lil jacob, I could be wrong though.

i just did the first lil jacob mission where you run over the 3 dudes escaping out the back, then go shoot up a house with the small cover "tutorial"

before i started it, i was at 9 missions clear, 0 failed. i failed it 2x during the shooting part, jacob dying the first, me dying the second. the third time we both lived and i drove jacob back home, got the little success music drop and autosave. i checked my stats, and it says 9 missions clear, 3 failed. wtf? anyone explain to me why it's not 10 clear, 2 failed? is this a bug?

btw, fuck the combat controls. my expectations were low from gta3, but they truly blew me away with how bad they're implemented here. its like a celebration of bad control. gj rockstar. also half the time the game just looks like shit on my 60" sxrd, framerate and all. i like the game overall for what it is, but there should be a class action lawsuit against all the 10/10 review scams. buncha blatant liars.

The problem other folks are having are hard crashes. Yours is just a disc-read problem. I'd say you have a bad disc or dying drive.

You can try one of those dry lens cleaning discs, it might help, but don't tell anybody at MS you tried it if it doesn't

Thats why I didnt get it for the 360. After dealing with that for exclusive titles that stream things/ have lots to load (Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey) I figured the PS3 would be the best choice for something of this magnitude. PS3 version of the game froze on me last night :lol

I really hope my 360 disc drive isnt dying...

Ok can you not use zit properly until you upgrade your cell phone or something? I've called em and Lazlow answers then texts me the name of the song in game...however nothing shows at the Social Club.

Press up to make your cell phone pop up then press A or (X) and the text message for trying again should pop up. Then just accept it.

Haven't been this addicted to a game since...you guessed it, San fucking Andreas.

Yep, same here as well. I think I just wasn't grabbed by the begining and like most say, SA gets better when you get deeper into the story.

Also, I actually like how much slower walking and running are this time around. It makes the city feel larger, and more realistic when you can't run faster than the traffic on the street.

Also #2, Blista Compact is probably my favorite non-supercar car in the whole series.

Your game or system of choice is busted then. The framerate is not bad at all. The game looks good, maybe not the most beautiful game ever, but still damn good. As for the combat controls, gunplay is great, especially with a nice cover system and free aim...hell the cover system in this game works better than the MGO beta. Melee combat is average but still better than past GTA games with its variety of moves depending on whats being used.

The only time the framerate should even falter is if there are tons of explosions and stuff flying on screen. Even when surrounded by 6 or so police cars and a chopper on 3 star, with pedestrians running all over, the game didnt slow down.

Why on Earth did they do away w/ the stats things (sex appeal, driving, etc.)? That was one of the things I loved about GTA:SA. It neuters the experience on a lot of levels, specifically Niko customization.

That alone would remedy the complaints people have about driving.
