taoofjord said:I want to recommend this faaaaantastic blog I came across a few weeks ago. They tend to focus on the iDevice gaming, but also cover music creation software, game creation software, and general design tools. All with a lean towards the modern, arsty, electronica-loving people.
They rarely miss a sweet looking app for that crowd. I recommend checking through their archives for some great apps you may have missed.
My personal favorite that I found on there is "Thicket"... though I play with it on my iPad. It's a GORGEOUS sound/music toy for electronic/glitch lovers. Really well done.

Don't like to just explore? It's a game of exploration with a laid back/chill out style, the art and music sort of convey all of that. I don't think there's any "game" other than exploring and getting good at flying, the challenge of making the perfect elipse and slingshotting across the galaxy.RPS37 said:The music in Kometen is really good. Possibily not only full of puzzle games, a bit more gamey and meaty would be appreciated.
No Espgaluda II, since it runs like crap on non-3Gs :-/
Chinatown Wars, SFIV... and? I like everything, from good shmups to action, racing and so on.
Don't get me wrong, I love puzzle games as well, just that for now I've got my plate full on the 'ole DS alreadyList it for my brother too, and he's a traditional gamer kinda guy, who loves "core" gaming more than any casual greatness, let's say he's more inclined to traditional gaming but doesn't refuse to try an hidden gem, whatever the genre: He's got a DS too but since he carries his phone with him all day long, he's obviously more inclined to buy games from the app store more than anything.
I know this kind of questions have probably been beaten to death around here, sorry about that, but some pointers would be really appreciated!

Did you play Sword and Poker? Is 2 much of an improvement over it?
Ooh, I hope you're not busy anytime soon. That one is digital crack.Gamecocks625 said:...and also Flight Control, Angry Birds, and Plants vs Zombies.
Which Labyrinth game do you guys prefer? 1 or 2?
I've played both demos. They seem fun but there are tons of good ball games for $1 or free so I couldn't spend $5 on one of theseGamecocks625 said:Which Labyrinth game do you guys prefer? 1 or 2?
Yeah it's really irritating actually.cjelly said:Wouldn't it be great if you could buy stuff from the App Store on iPhone that is over 20MB... then download it when you hit a WiFi connection.
(No, I'm not bitter that I missed out on Castle of Magic.)
It took me a few sessions to figure out the discovering planet parts. So far I've only found one, but it was pretty cool. They seem kind of far away from each other.Psy-Phi said:Don't like to just explore? It's a game of exploration with a laid back/chill out style, the art and music sort of convey all of that. Not what I expected, but your post made me buy it (this state of mind I'm in before going to sleep is terrible for my wallet). I'm glad I did though, just spent a good 15 minutes discovering 3 pieces of art/planets. Will play more certainly.
Sweet, just downloaded it.glxblt said:http://twitter.com/gameloft

Yeah it sucks...especially when it let's you download whole albums over 3G which can be like 100MB. I've gotten around it before by VNCing into my home computer and buying from iTunes on there. Kind of a pain but it worked.cjelly said:Wouldn't it be great if you could buy stuff from the App Store on iPhone that is over 20MB... then download it when you hit a WiFi connection.

1 was out in january, 4 months.Diablohead said:S&P1 was out only like 2 months ago? I have always seen the sequel just being new dungeons on the old engine since it came out extremely quickly.
I love this appNeuromancer said:Not sure if it counts since it's not a game, but I just downloaded a very cool and free music generator app called Beatwave. Basically you fill in a grid with little squares, and a line passes from left to right, turning all your squares into musical notes. You can change the speed, tone and instrument sounds and have 4 different layers of music going. It's kind of awesome.

My friend made this game. Only time I've ever wished I had an Apple product.Melhisedek said:Anyone playing 100 rogues? Any advice on that one? I seem to get killed or I die of hunger pretty fast. Will I be able to sell stuff or buy that meat for survival?
