I haven't watched Smallville in years (except for the episode last season where Lex killed his father) but I saw a preview for this, and it looks interesting. I'll be tuning in for it.

Unfortunately though I do hope we get to see a preview of "Legion" which will be the next episode that will air in January. It's suppose to be a highlight of season eight. However, they just announced casting for that episode so I am not sure if they will have a trailer ready for tonight.

Yep, I'm guessing cliffhanger and shitty 2 month wait.

AND IT'S ON.

i think smallville rarely shows previews for the next episode if its not airing the following week. i wish i was home watching this!!

The episode was pretty boring until that. So far I'm preferring the Green Arrow stuff to the sentimental Clark/Chloe stuff. I'm sure Doomsday will show up in the last couple of minutes.

For THE episode, it has been quite a letdown so far. I didn't expect Doomsday to show up until the end but this Lois and Clark crap is getting a bit silly.

Jeez, guys. You just hate character development. :lol

The Oliver/Lois scene was really really nice.

She's really grown into this role of Lois nicely.

The part where Jimmy got owned was badass.

Wow, nice job Smallville.

How exactly does this get wrapped up in a few minutes? The next episode is Legion.

There is no character development. They are just playing on the fact that Clark and Lois end up together.

Disagree. They have to get both of these characters up to that point. Everyone knows that outcome. But to just go from point A to point B instantly is just lame.

I think that scene (and the ones leading up to it) worked well.

Am I going crazy or

A. Did Doomsday look perfect?

B. LEX/BRAINIAC??

I don't even watch this show because of the bad hype / Some preconceived notions. WTF was I thinking?

It's like they copied Justice League: Unlimited. WOW.

In all honesty, that was one of my favorite episodes ever. The whole episode kept building up. The Lois and Clark stuff didn't feel forced at all. And they actually made Lana and Clark scenes NOT SUCK.

Loved it. And the ending omg.

They have pretty much gone from point A to point B. In the course of the first half of this season we've already seen them almost kiss.

I don't watch too regularly. So why would Chloe mouth 'Doomsday'?

For anyone confused at the creepy smile at the end, I'm pretty sure it was that
Brainiac fully took Chloe over
.

That's why the Legion comes back in time. To stop
Brainiac
.

Metroidvania

People called Romanes they go the house?
Hmm...that was...interesting.

Lois looked....different this episode, can't put my finger on it.

Also, how the shit did Doomsday know where the fortress of solitude was?

Yeah this was a really good episode in my opinion. Question is, was that really Lex at the end? A nice cliffhanger for sure. The wait is going to be tough for the next episodes.

Like I said, I haven't followed too closely. But I do like that they are tying up loose ends of previous seasons and really pushing for the Clark/Superman switch now.

Then that would be the development. Pretty clear that's what they've done over the course of the season.

In any case, I think it was well handled this episode. We'll just have to disagree.

I think everyone has to realize that, for the most part, most of the shortcoming are due to the budget the show has. I think the producers are doing the best that they can with the budget they have. I like how they tease with the possibility of Lex towards the end of the episode. :D

Brainiac took control of the Fortress last week. Chloe is connected to Davis/Doomsday because Brainiac is in her.

No kidding. I mean, that wedding cake wasn't even a cake, it was a white sheet. :lol

Right, but unless she woke up and told him off-screen or I missed it, she looked unconscious while Doomsday was walking towards the Fortress....

Doomsday looked great, and wow at the possible Brainiac/Lex ending, didn't they say Michael Rosenbaum wasn't coming back?

Oh and Lana wasn't as annoying as I thought she would be.

No highlights in her hair. D-Day was created by Kryptonians so they probably built in some kind of Krypto GPS in him or something.

I think there is one shot of the Legion in there. Hopefully they have some sort of alternate costumes they wear.

Geoff Johns said they won't really have "costumes", but their outfits will match the colors at least.

It sort of makes sense as costumed heroes aren't running rampant at this point in the Smallville universe and they wouldn't want to stick out like a sore thumb.
