I have the game downloaded already and I am sure I'll like it for what it is. But I hope RAD would learn from this for their next game and make a better game, it is perfectly possible to have a game focussing on narrative and set pieces heavily without sacrificing the gameplay, content or replaybility. "Artistic vision" is no excuse for shallowness, unless it is truely something unique in terms of experienc that no other game can provide.
What's funny is that the template for such a game is already present in the form of the very game these cinematic games try to emulate i.e. Uncharted. It is replayable, has enough content with MP, Co Op, a fairly decent length campaign, the gameplay is still great despite being simple...and all this without sacrificing any of the "cinematic experience".
The least RAD could have done is made the game replayable and maybe incorporate gameplay elements that do the same thing without needing as many (if any) QTEs.
