Now, onto The Order...
Not a good demo. Maybe I didn't "get it" because of the noise in the crowd and the feeling of being rushed as you stand in the demo station, but it all boils down to it being a game that doesn't demo well in those circumstances. It's also very cinematic heavy, with frequent pauses and on rails sections. This is one of those divisive games for sure. You're supposed to sit back and relax in the comfort of your home and take it in. But from what I played, I don't think there's much to take in, gameplay wise. It was very by the numbers and very constricted, although I can confirm the controls are tight and it plays well. For all the touting of soft body physics the game's graphics are not the centerpiece at all, since it's all so funneled and small scale, at least in the demo. So yeah, perhaps playing a different section in the game would change my mind, but from what I gather, it's a narrative heavy game. I'm hoping that aspect holds up and carries the tidy, albeit functionally familiar, rest of the game.
