That was in June 2013. They have had a few delays, no? There is no way on this earth they are still at 15 million USD in dev costs.
I don't understand this complaint. I never feel that the game is taking controls away from me. WTF is this ? This means nothing at all.
So, how long until Ready at Dawn issues an apology?

Because it makes sense to compare what looked like a shallow "cinematic" Uncharted wannabe shitty generic shooter which is all about the graphics to a game from a studio whose three last fantastic games prioritize gameplay over anything else. The only thing they have in common is a somehow similar setting.
Bloodborne looks fenomenal, is being made by a team who proved themselves with some of the best games in the last gen and had a very positive alpha test.
Yeah, the comparisson is moot.
If anyone needs to apologize it's Yoshida.
Why the hell would he green-light this game, given how outdated it is in everything but graphics.
It blows my mind that RAD thought this game design would sit well with customers in a 2015 AAA game.
They don't have to apologise for anything. They made the movie they wanted to make.
This attitude is far more detrimental to gaming than cinematic games.
Don't need to play it; I've read the reviews and even watched some of it on Youtube.
Ain't no way this is getting $70 from me.
Absolutely not liking what I've read or seen.
RIP. Western devs need a wakeup call.
In which regard? Are we saying people with good "judgment" knew it was going to be a bad game? Or are we saying people with good "judgment" knew it was going to be panned two years ago? I could say people with good "judgment" would play the game and judge it for themselves.
I have it on good authority that they were expecting worse.

Didn't Witcher 2 only cost 7 million USD total? If they did go over their 15 million figure I doubt it was by a huge amount.
Damn straight, son. No need to play the game.
I might start watching YouTube videos of games myself going forward. No need to play them. Actually playing games....overrated, if you ask me. Fuck it. I'm going to stop eating at restaurant too. I'm going to watch people eat at restaurants on YouTube as well.
You know what? Fuck, sex too. No need to have sex. I'm just going to watch porn for the rest of my life./s
Depends on your perspective. From a consumer point of view, metacritic is terrific. Probably saved them $60. For the publisher and developer they probably regret the early embargo. If they didn't send out review copies, they probably would have had a couple days of sales before reviews started piling in.

Everyone with good judgement foresaw the Order reviewing poorly. Same goes for Bloodborne being good. Whether it's good or great does remain to be seen.
To be fair, Call of Duty is one of the only series targeting 60 FPS on consoles. A performance target that will become increasingly rare as this generation continues.
As far as the narrative is concerned, this is a game directly targeting the mainstream audience. Expecting anything above mediocre is too much.

If I played every single game just to see if it's good when everyone is saying to me "dude, it's not good", I would call that bad judgement on my part of how to spend my time.
So, how long until Ready at Dawn issues an apology?
Eh... I don't know. I personally didn't foresee it being bad until those gameplay videos were leaked and it showed what the game truly is, a short, uninspired, snore-fest. Until then the little snippets we did get, looked like it had potential.
What's so bad about reading reviews, opinions and watching videos to see if a game it's worth spending 70$?
Is not like the gameplay on the order is so complex or unique that words and videos can't make it justice...
This is NOT the way we want things to start moving towards...
We can't allow Publishers to sucker people into buying shitty products by delaying reviews from getting out.
well enjoying a few moments of bland intercourse with a girl only to be pushed aside to watch someone else do it better for just as long would probably frustrate most people. You know what? Fuck, sex too. No need to have sex. I'm just going to watch porn for the rest of my life./s

So fucking true.
This is why astro-turfing is poison to online communities.
I cant even imagine how that studio is feeling right now. Probably just got off a couple weeks of overtime crunch only to be met with a crazy amount of hate one day before launch. Man... I'd be hitting the drinks hard tonight and looking at revamping my resume.
Interesting as most of the people on GAF who have actually played it enjoyed it. Yes its flaws have been outlined by those people as well but none of them said it was flat out bad.
