The STEAM Halloween Sale - Gaben slashes more than just prices...

Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 are never going to be 5$ are they.

should got them when they weren't region locked because that's pretty much what i paid for them in russian bear currency.

Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky is on sale.

But seriously, where the heck is Dark Souls? As I remember, Dark Souls II never been on sale since its release.

Dark Souls is $5.99 on Gamestop's website and it redeems on steam.

if you're talking about DSII, it was $20 on bamco's website about a week ago.

Not before GFWL gets removed.

Well, maybe they're trying to stop people from buying them until GFWL is there. That commendable.

Knowing Capcom they will remove GFWL, discount them at 50% like now just to enjoy the Steamwork sales boost, leave them at 20$ until summer and then maybe we'll get a 75% discount.

That Darksiders bundle is insane...includes tons of DS2 DLC...I already own the gmae, but Im tempted to grab just for the DLC alone

Picking up the Room and Bad Mojo: Redux. Tempted by Sir, you are being hunted but the reviews suggested it was lacking direction. Among the Sleep discount still a little too small for me. I think Ghostbusters and Year Walk are my recommendations from the sale.
Evil Within + Call of Cthulhu bundle? lol so random

Bethesda's sneaky way to get The Evil Within into the sale without actually reducing the price of the game.

If you like Point & Click adventures, Sanitarium is a really cool classic to have. The individual Dark Eye P&C games also are super super good, and I HEAVILY recommend them. The Cat Lady also is pretty good.
I haven't played the RPG that's also in the Dark Eye bundle (Blackguard), but I heard it's pretty good. And, since we're on the topic, so are the classic Fallout games.
The Ship and Alice Madness Returns also are great games to grab. :)

TY for recommendations....will check them all out now!

You save about $5 for owning the original Binding of Isaac on Steam if you preorder the new one. If you buy the collection (assuming you don't have it from a bundle or something), you can then preorder rebirth for the cheaper amount, save money, and have the originals!

Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 are never going to be 5$ are they.

They were hitting $5.00 during sales about a year or two ago, but then the GFWL uncertainty sunk in and didn't start going on sale again until recently. Capcom is riding the GFWL removal buzz and will do so for a while, for sure.

Yeah, grabbed the bundle. I got the first game as a gift on PS3 (never got around to finishing it), and then second game on 360 from GwG. Seemed good, but would rather play on PC @ higher res.

During summer sale it was 33% off

Lone Survivor is $3.74, worth it?
Very much so. Think Silent Hill 4 in 2D, and bigger emphasis on stealth and survival than combat

Grabbed the Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII Double Pack.
You'll love them. They're funny, and the game design is particularly great. For example, the leveling system gives you a lot of good options for character builds, as every level-up you can choose from 2 very different stats-ups/skills/passives

How are the PC versions of the Resident Evil games, Dead Rising 2 & 3, and Condemned?

This is my first ever Steam sale. I can already feel the money draining out of my bank account.

This is your first? Winter is going to blow your world. This sale is....not great.

Bought the Walking Dead. I've never watched the show, but ive heard great things about the game. Hopefully it doesnt tie too much into the show, or else i'll need my wife to explain everything.

It's completely unrelated to the show. There are characters from the comic/show, but they're nothing more than cameos.

You may spare some cash buying it in the current Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/

Machine for Pigs is also part of the current Humble Bundle, though part of the BTA tier which is $6.94.

I thought so. Just go in expecting more narrative than running/hiding mechanics from the first Amnesia.

I'll probably get the Evil Within Season pass. It's a risk, but I enjoyed the core game so much.

Thanks guys. I was actually gifted a copy from the Humble Bundle from JBourne, what a sweetheart <3.

This is the first time a Steam sale has occurred the same time as I get paid.

I really cannot tell if that is a good thing or not.

Man you are in for a treat! Played through it recently, still amazing. And the AI is fantastic. Even the opening is animated so well, it really sets you off on the right foot

It's so goddamn good.
I particularly enjoyed muting the game and playing the slow-mo shootouts while listening to soaring classical and orchestral music.

It looks awesome, I've just been waiting for it to get this cheap. Do you guys happen to know if it can run > 60 fps? That would make it even better :D
