Go to the station. There should be a tab for earlier visited towns. I haven't tried moving towns after placing my house but I would imagine there might be an option to return to the town with the house?

How do you get to the GAF town or whatever?
There's a few of us waiting inside the bus and it just won't move.

Bus won't move for me. I even closed the application and started back up. Bus just sits in town and doesn't move, but it seems like it might be working for others because I see people running up to the stockpiles depositing new materials.
You can use crystals to harden the void and you can buy skis from the black market.

I just got a driving license lvl. 1. But how do I build a home?

How do I go to a different town?
Yes, the icons at the right bottom corner are the resources icons, they show up when you obtain resources for anything, or when someone uses them.
There's electricity, wood, food, crystal and... gold? Or whatever the golden crystal thing is, forgot right now.
To set up a home you need to have your license (which you do) and available space in the town. Bring your license thing (right d-pad, first item) up and then use square to use it (which the game doesn't tell you or at least I couldn't find, I found out by pressing various buttons).
The game is awesome, but it definitely needs to do some extra explaining and keep button prompts on/off via toggle for some things.
Edit: Seems the servers are crapping their pants now? Good thing this is a server stress test. I imagine tomorrow a lot of programmers at Q-Games are gonna be like "uh.. where do we start"

In a hugely populated town. 50+ I believe. Waited in line at the work bench, tried to build a domicile...but couldn't beat the puzzle lmao

The bus thing is a known issue, we apologize for that.
There are some other ways to get across the Void; skiis, jetpacks, bridge Void powers (if people haven't used them all up trolling), jackrammers (they make platforms).

By the way, there's a mini-guide I wrote up in the OP. Far from comprehensive, but covers most of the basics.
Food: Grows on trees, and is necessary to keep citizens fed. Comrades can craft saplings to plant in town in order to keep a food source near, but
Wood: Trees grow on certain islands, and saplings will also mature into trees. Wood is needed for building certain structures, and for repairing damaged structures.
Coal: Deposits are found on certain islands. Coal is used in crafting certain items, and to recharge Hover Cars.
Metal: Deposits are found on certain islands. Metal is used in crafting certain items, and to improve the Town Hall.
Crystals: Obtained by defeating Izverg. Small and mid-size Izverg will drop 1, 2, or 3 crystals when defeated, and large Izverg have crystal deposits inside their remains. Stationary Izverg will turn into crystal when defeated. Crystals are used in crafting items, and can be used to stabilize a portion of the Void by activating them with the Square button.

When you build something, the product comes via the belt conveyor next to the workbench, inside a box or as a sign post thing. You just pick it up and bring it to wherever you wanna build it.
Maybe you left before the conveyor started moving?
Whistle with L3 (shows you where nearby players are too) and R1 for gestures.
There will be other "forms" of communication in the final game too.

Oh. I already turned off my PS4, but I guess now I know where the garbage cans, signs and benches are.
But what about buildings?
They are pretty annoying So I took up the role of being the one to rush in the islands and clear out the enemies in the town I was in.

I also think I read about this in the manual yesterday, but how do I get more coupons? I know I have to report in somewhere to get them, but it's not at the Union Shop, and I can't see where else I could report my work?
