But it's a story quest :,(You won't get XP even if it's fixed. Grey quests don't award XP by design.
That makes me feel like I miss out big time by doing all the amazing sidestaff primary.

And tons of people were complaining about over-leveling, now's their chance.^ Imo, even if you don't get exp, a lot of quests are worth doing for the story alone.

So, it's grey, I shouldn't do it unless I don't want exp? Or is is fixed already?
Yeah it's cool that we have a game based on Slavic mythology. Though it's a shame that most of the Gods are skipped. All the runestones(or most) in the Witcher 3 are named after Slavic Gods.
Yes, but I still don't want to end up underleveled for the next content, since the major chunk of exp is awarded in the story mission.^ Imo, even if you don't get exp, a lot of quests are worth doing for the story alone.
Uguu.If it's a story quest you'll still get some XP, so engage at your own risk, not everyone is affected by the XP bug.
Few people know a lot abotu europaen myth outside the british ones (and well, norse and greek gods, everybody knows some of those). I hate that. The rest of Europe has a lot more to show than what is used in pop culture. One thing that I've really enjoyed so far, besides exploring the lore of The Witcher world, is exploring the lore that the The Witcher itself is based on.
Like that the Wild Hunt is actually based on myths from Jacob Grimm and other European cultures. So neat.
WHATTTTTTT. Oh man that's so cool. I need to go read up on those now!Yeah it's cool that we have a game based on Slavic mythology. Though it's a shame that most of the Gods are skipped. All the runestones(or most) in the Witcher 3 are named after Slavic Gods.
Apparently there's an entire pantheon!I didnt know my people had gods LOL
Absolutely true. I know that before I started browsing the internet to figure out where stuff from The Witcher came from, I didn't know much about Slavic myth. It's a shame that the Western European myths really dominate over the Eastern European stuff.Few people know a lot abotu europaen myth outside the british ones (and well, norse and greek gods, everybody knows some of those). I guess it's hard to insert the gods into the story, but it certainly would have been neat to get more than just the name references. I'd really like to see more stuff inspired by Eastern Europe get made.

Same as me. I had a save from right before the last two missions I did so once its patched I will be starting from there, but this shit blows. I really want to continue lolAt the moment I'm not even getting EXP from green quests. I just checked, and I went all the way through Get Junior only getting EXP from enemies I killed, nothing from the quest itself, and I'm only Lv 15. Hopefully CDPR fixes it soon.
I didnt know my people had gods LOL
Not the person to find a quote, but on another note, do we know how appearances are changed? Is it only spell-based or does it include anything related to potions? And she is allergic to magic, but in potions. She can only heal herself with the magic amulets. I honestly never saw anything about the fact that she is natural beauty, can somebody provide a quote? Because I think it's just a fanon that spread like a wildfire among the fandom and has little to do with the canon. Same thing about her actual age.
It'll grow back.nooooo my glorious beard. damn you nilgardians!
It's not even "western", it's mostly english. People barely know Jeanne D'arc or Siegfried, but not much else in international pop-culture from german countries (post-WWI) or France. Also: there isn't west and east, there are various cultures in europe. Germanic, nordic, slavic, greek, baltic, celtic, etc... etc... Europe is a collection of hundreds of different cultures that developed in thousands of years. Somehow anime and japanese videogames are the thing that seem to grab the most out of it.Absolutely true. Are those special Witcher sets the best armors in the game or can you find something better ?
Gues I have to shoot for the bear one.
That's not really true. There are really four major regions of Europe, Central, North, East and West. They're grouped like that for political purposes but they share obvious cultural similarities within their groups in many cases. Western Europe at least gets a token representative in the mythos of France and England. Southern Europe even gets something from Latin and Greek mythos. Not that having two representatives is ideal, but at least those cultures have some cultural following, whereas Eastern Europe in particular is radically unknown to most people. It's not even "western", it's mostly english. c-c-c-c-combo breaker
I think I got my answer
The game took a properly dark turn with the bog crones quest line. That was really, like, one wallop after another. Those character designs...
Specifically I'm reading the first book right now:
The Witcher was a series of books long before it was ever a game. Started in 1992.
Is it true that only 2 of the series are in english (yet) ? Was looking for them but could only find 2 and some spinoff
The two short story collections The Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish are in English. Of the mainline saga, there are six books and three are translated officially. I'm sure you could find a decent fan translation though. Is it true that only 2 of the series are in english (yet) ? Was looking for them but could only find 2 and some spinoff
A lot of the books have official English translations. The ones that don't have amazing fan translations, so no, all the books are in English in one way or another.
Fan translations can be found here: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/16494-Our-Community-Fan-Translations

People were really pissed that the translations took so long so they made their own.alright thanks, had no idea fan translations for novels were even a thing. sweet.
Doesn't seem like im the only one who finds continuing playing end-game very difficulty.

Velen's map...
I know! I've got an earlier save, and I don't mind replaying a couple of quests, it's just the downtime that's getting to me. After 50 hours in the last week or so, I still just want to spend my whole day playing the game. I'm itching for some Witching even now
Curious what Yen and the others look likemostly Yen.
Actually, yeah, middle eastern myths are pretty rare too, aside from dschinns. The weirdest thing is how unpopular persian mythology is, especially since Gilgamesh is one of the core epics of the ancient era.
Well, you can simplify the culture generally in those categories, but that ignores that there are actually different cultures with their own myths and legends. And what I am saying is, that most of those are grossly underused. That's not really true. There are really four major regions of Europe, Central, North, East and West. And that's just one of two big open world maps.Velen's map...
I agree with this, came to my mind instantly in the endgame.
And generally I think the characters should always be somewhere in the game world so you could interact with them, but many times they just disappear from the world between story sections.
One huge interaction improvement would be if you'd be able to take a companion with you (your lover or friend) to do stuff like the POI content.
Many of them already have battle systems in place so I hope it can be modded to the game.
Damn that looks good. Thanks! Here's one PC Yen.
I found theyou kidding, it had already turned dark when it got to thebaron's wife's miscarried baby coming back from the dead as a monster.
All decoctions affect your general abilities, no matter who you are stabbing at the time. Read the descriptions in the alchemy panel. Is the effect of Water Hag Decoction only against hags or all types of enemies ?
The crones on the other hand... Oh my.
