Are you not getting exp for side quests too? I have the exp glitch but the amount of exp I'm getting From side quests has made up for it and Im still 2 levels above the main quests.

I stopped doing them for now. Last time I checked I got from some but not others (and they weren't gray) it was too random and annoying

It looks tiny in the world map, I'm expecting white orchard size

...this is where you say it's bigger than Velen isn't it >_>

Hey let me talk to you for a second. Sit down.

Seriously, take a seat and get ready for Skellige. Otherwise you'll be like...

Are the other areas as if as Velen? I've already spent over thirty hours in Velen and I'm not getting out any time soon.

I'm about to start
The Battle of Kaer Morhen
after finishing all the prep. I've genuinely never been more pumped for a game than I am right now.

Anybody can tell me where I have to go to start the Cat School Diagrams - Part 3 Treasure Hunt ?

I completed all the other Witcher Treasure Hunts, including part 4s, but this one never started.

Which is...? I got the one where Ciri is alive. What exactly happens in this other specific ending?
Ciri dies, Geralt goes to get Vesemir's medallion that the crone stole from Ciri because it would be his only memento of her. He kills the crone and it's implied he commits suicide afterwards by refusing to fight back against monsters the Crone summoned.

Still pretty annoyed that we have basically zero information from CDPR on how much exp you lose by playing with the exp bug. I'm sorry but, "will not drastically affect the game balance" is a bullshit answer and they know it.

If you're going to drag out the exp patch until god only knows when, please at least share how much exp we are losing out on by playing. 4 levels? 8 levels? 12 levels? What is it?

I can only dick around with ? and Gwent for so long.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Is there a way to fix the map such that all icons are available?

It's fucking annoying trying to find a blacksmith/armorer when the icons keep disappearing.

It's just another one of the little things in the game that make it less enjoyable. I am walking around the city trying to find the entrance to the king of beggars so I can get some stuff from the vendor that's close to his location. I am not on a quest and I have no idea where the hideout it is.

Skellige also has a drastically different aesthetic, unique music, a different culture (noticeably) and is home to the best looking places in the game I would say. I've taken to calling it The Witcher 4.

Do we have any dates for the new patch?

You've got the exp bug too? I got it last night while doing "Ladies of the Wood" quest. But I have a save before that and I can easily redo that once the patch comes out. I might go and play some gwent in the interim.

Witcher senses be dope yo

The first time Geralt said "wind is howling" was so great. I was in the forest when that storm hit. It's hard to give enough credit to CDP for such atmosphere.

The thing is that music takes away from it at times. After finishing the game I will probably turn it off when I'm just going about my witcher business in the wilderness. But it is definitely needed for those special moments.

I know people were complaining about their Irish Gaelic style accent, given that it seems Norway inspired...but it is actually a kind of interesting mashup. Even that song that plays when walking around has Gaelic lyrics. Neat stuff.

50hrs in and I'm just about ready to head to Novigrad, or the little piece of land surrounding it I should say lol still got ? to do there. Safe to say I think I'm getting my money's worth.

By the way what is that area to the bottom right of the Velen map, is that the rest of Vizima(as opposed to just the castle)?

Am I at the halfway point yet in the story? I just
romanced Tess in Novigrad and am about to finish the theatre play quest.

Yennefer romance question: In the Last Wish quest,
what should I choose if I don't want to piss of Yen, but be with Triss? My options are "I love you too"and "I don't want to be together anymore." If I say that I love her, will that screw up the ending?

I suggest restarting your game since you made some terrible decisions in your gameplay bro.

Anyone find it weird that Skellige has a lot of fast travel points unlocked by default? Granted I know it'd be tough to traverse initially without them.

im only in White Orchard and already im addicted to Gwent
its the card game i never knew i wanted
i refused to eat dinner till i beat that merchant

What is everyone doing with the notes and books that they've ended up collecting? I've sold a bunch that I think I need but I feel it's kind of stupid to pick up a note from the notice boards only to clutter up the inventory and make it difficult to select bombs.

At the least they should be arranged at the bottom of the "usable items" inventory stack.

Is it worth dismantling them into notes and then just having one spot using "notes" and "books"? Also the maps that have moved from quest items into usable items... Do I need to keep them? I have a hell of a lot of them. Why do some maps move out of the quest items and some don't? I don't get it.

I bought the skellige island maps, used them and sold them back... I'm hoping that was right to do.

It could all be solved if they put those damn books and notes at the bottom of the usable items section.

Also, what are people doing with their various trophies? I'm keeping all of mine because it's kind of a cool collection thing.

I tried dropping a pouch of stuff near a fast travel spot but the game ended up deleting it. Lost some nice stuff there.

Also, it's a real pain to lug around all the different parts of the different armour sets... Maybe it would be easier to craft each from scratch whenever i want to wear it. It's not like I'm low on crafting materials.

Do I need to keep the witcher gear that geralt wears at the start of the game or is there only one upgrade to that armour?

I've got 7 quests that I'm 1 step off finishing but won't finish them because when I do I haven't got the exp for finishing them because of the bug... It's a real pain! Come on 1.5. I'll probably crack 2 or 3 levels in an hour when it arrives.

So I guess I'm going ? hunting and searching out the skellige islands fast travel signs.

I definitely think that you should always aim to try and complete quests as soon as they turn green in this game to keep the challenge up. Diving into old grey or white quests are just to easy. I'm only level 18 and I feel so strong with my current crit based cat school build. I'm keen to try the ursine armour (isn't ursine viper? Why is it then called bear?) or is there cat (ursine), griffin, viper (ursine) and bear?

I sill can't get over the stupidity behind not putting a box in the game... Why cdpr? WHY??

Also. Items that were quest items that go into junk... That means I don't need them any more right?

It seems kind of a waste to get rid of that thing like a
radio
that Kiera gave considering how much she went on about how valuable and rare it's suppose to be.

I also think a total of 12 active skills is to little... It's too hard to choose and I want more!!

Also, the steam achievement called "overkill" is a serious bitch.

im only in White Orchard and already im addicted to Gwent
its the card game i never knew i wanted
i refused to eat dinner till i beat that merchant

My Nilfgaard deck has a total power of 165 with 8 hero cards and 31 cards in total, using 9/10 special cards.

I'm finding the game to be ridiculously awesome, I can't wait until they release real life cards to buy. I'll buy them all. I think I'm pretty good at gwent and my deck is awesome but I can't wait to finish my monsters and scoitael decks... Those partner cards are simply awesome.

Yeah.

So, go to the map. Hold the right stick back or zoom out as much as you can without going to the world map.

Move around. Water doesn't mean there's nothing there in this game. Far from it.

I'm going to guess maybe 2-3 levels difference. Some smaller sidequests may be affected but the XP for those is typically tiny (10-50 XP).

There seem to be 2-3 main story missions most commonly affected, mostly in Novigrad. Assuming that they would give 1000 XP each and you are in Novigrad between levels 10-20 then ~3000 XP translates to 2 levels in that range.

It's to much to "not care" like they said.

Just do what I'm doing, progress quests to near the end and take some contracts and go through them.

I don't quite understand which quests it affects but I think it's just quests that were picked up during 1.4... But I have no idea when I picked up what and if I find I'm not getting exp from a quest I load my previous save and try something eose

There is also plenty of ? to clear... I'm sure you've not got them all?

- I sell all my trophies a they start to by be heavy after you've completed 10 or more contracts. Some look kind of cool when attached on the horse, but the wraiths are lame because they're basically just a bloody bag.

- There are no other uprades to the base armor you have in the beginning, unfortunately.

- Ursine is the bear family, totally unrelated to the Viper School which has no armors featured in the game. The Ursine set looks great too.

- Yep for the junk quest items.

That sucks. I'm still keeping hold of my low level Witcher gear cos they're unique and cool even though they have absolutely no use to me anymore. :( I was chuffed crafting the Viper swords early on but I'll never get rid of them! :p

It has nothing to do with any patches. While there seem to be some edge cases of people with the bug incredibly early in the game or much later, the vast majority of what I've seen mentioned (and experienced myself) are the main missions in Novigrad.

Contracts don't seem affected to me but I'm not sure, I have one to deliver I'll check when I get home (I'll save first just in case)

Geralt's voice actor phoned it in a couple of days or he had too many drinks the night before once or twice. He's lost the raspy voice quite a few times in the last couple of quests I've done. Sounds so strange.
