What I love most about The Witcher

The whole game hahaha.
It's incredible. I'm sarcastic myself so sarcastic Geralt is best Geralt. Anyone like that is a win in my book: Lambert, Yen, and even Djikstra is alright in my eyes.
She doesn't show up until the battle I think, did the same thing looking for her and
Letho
.
Ah, shame. I thought they'd be there since there is so many little details throughout the world.

Yet again, Lambert
asks the questions that needs to be asked. Asking about Triss in front of Yennefer; I love it.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
I have a question in regards to the skill tree and leveling up.

Do you only see the benefits of your ability points if they are placed in the skill tree and connected to a mutagen or are there passive bonuses?

For example, I have my Axii sign upgraded to level 3 in the skill tree. If I were to remove this would I lose my dialogue benefits?

I am just confused.

Mutagens boost the effects of the abilities in your skill tree if they match the color of the skills connected to them. Also, mutagens get more effective the more they are connected to the same color.

E.g.
Blue mutagen connected to one blue skill is +10% sign effectiveness
Blue mutagen connected to three blue skills is +40% sign effectiveness

Loving the game, aside from a few small bugs it's almost flawless so far. Just left the beginning area, do we ever get to go back? I have some unfinished business.

Abilities only take effect when they are equipped.

Connecting them to mutagens only buffs the mutagen's property if they are the same color.

You can go back to White Orchard anytime you want through the world map.

I killed some trolls. Felt bad because so far all the trolls were friendly :(

But they attacked me :/

I've met about 5 trolls, and yet to kill one.
There's always a diplomatic (smart) way to solve things with trolls. They're dumb.

Not these.
I was doing the scavenge quest for the bear armor (I don't even want the armor but the quest was dangerously close to becoming gray so I wanted it out if the way) and in the cave there were 3 trolls that instantly aggroed me

so i have a question regarding the cinematic intro. Who is the old man with the blind eye? Just a random person, or someone important?

I don't know if anyone cares about this or not, but you can actually buy XP by going to the bank in Novigrad.

Take out a loan of 100 crowns and then pay back the 130. For 30 crowns you get 14XP which is pretty decent.

300 crowns for 140XP and 3000 crowns for 1400XP... For those of us with a sheit load of cash just sitting there waiting to be spent on something this is perhaps the thing to spend the money on if you're worried about having lost XP in the quests?

I dunno... just a possible solution for people who feel they've lost a lot of XP.

Hahah I have this dilemma where I don't want to play the game too much because I'm afraid I'm gonna finish it xD

Me also... I waste time during the day and stuff around doing things slowly because I don't want the game to end. I'm sure I'm going to end up with more than 200 hours. I'm only level 19 and I'm already at 90 hours and have barely touched skellige.

Lambert, Gerald and Dijkstra: The holy trinity of sarcasm.

By the way

Spoiler
Gerald, Lambert and Eskel at Kaer Morhen. OMFG!! I laugh my ass off so hard!!

Is the quest Broken Flowers not suppose to give XP? I expected it to be the famous bug, but even if I load a previous save, I still can't get XP from completing it after talking to that bard lady.

Loading a save doesn't fix the xp bug

So I should just wait for the patch then? Main story quests always give a big chunk of XP, I'd hate to miss that. Or does the bug only occur if you see "Experience points : 500"(for example) after a quest completed and still got nothing? Because I didnt even see that.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm level 34 and very close to the end of the game, so this'll help to get the level 35 trophy without having to worry if completing the last quest of the game would give me enough XP to level up.

The main story ones don't seem affected, only side quests. It's weird man.

And those side quests in all honesty give fuck all xp. Like 25 and 50xp.

I got like 2/3 of the level from just going to Skellige and i have the bug

Monday I stopped gaining XP on main quest missions. Going to just hit ?'s until the patch is out.

Somebody help me. I'm going to rage.

When I go to use a boat, it'll drop me from the skybox and I'll land back in the boat and die from fall damage.

I'm fuming.

Stop trolling me, bro-witcher.

Witcher mutations make them adverse to boats

What's the deal with the unicorn?

It was
mentioned in the beginning and now in her room Geralt said "she fixed it"

Holy shit at the end of keiras quest....
I didn't want to kill her, but I could not let her kill or even have the chance to kill all those people
. To be honest I didn't even see that coming, I was shocked that they made me do that... Damn CDPR really did make me like her though and just... Well at least one developer does the romance quests correctly.

Never had that happen to me but fall damage in this game is ridiculously high, either CDPR done goofed or Geralt has some serious arthritis. I tend to point the finger at CDPR.

Your Keira quest was very different than mine

Just happened to me three times sailing around Skellige. I'm at the point of saving before I use the boat now -_-

I'd say keep playing to see.

Also I think I'm nearing the end of the game now and this might possibly be the best game I've ever played.

Dude is old as fuck...

PSA to everyone still having issues with fall damage. Hit the ROLL button while close to the ground. It will cut the fall damage drastically. I'm able to jump off of ravines and buildings with only a moderate hit.

The moment you realize the game couldn't get any better.
It would be better without stuff like this. Just like Lord of the Rings games wouldn't be improved if EA had included books praising Origin. In fact, that would probably cause a little internet riot around these parts.

Holy shit WOW!

Also the guy playing Geralt should get an award or something for holding his voice quality despite recording so many lines.

Anyone know the record for most words spoken by a single voice actor in a game (for a single character in a game, I know some games have a VA that does VA for multiple characters)? The amount of dialogue in this game is astonishing.

I've taken some bullshit damage on short falls, don't realize it until it's too late. It's broken and needs to be fixed ... this isn't Mirror's Edge.

What happened in yours?

She took the mage papers from the tower and wanted to give them to radovid, but I told her that radovid neither forgets nor forgives and she would be killed, so I sent her to Kaer Morhen. She never wanted to kill anyone.
