Does Poisoned Blades only work when using the proper oil that an enemy is vulnerable against? Or will any oil tick the poison against any enemy?

SO I just passed the mission where
you turn triss over to the witch hunters to get to menge and we killed everyone
I have been everywhere in this compound and cannot figure out how to get the fuck out of here. Is this game borked?

When you're out behind the building, you have to climb onto some boxes or something, which will let you hop over the wall to the street on the other side.

It really is disappointing. She was such a great character and not involving her in the war effort was a mistake. I still hope that we will hear from her in the future.
Well we won't know until they announce, but I'd personally think making it so as long as you don't kill her, she gets away even though you didn't free her to be a good sign they intend to have sort of content involving her. Or I'm being optimistic :(.

Is there a site anywhere that lists what all the enemy types are with images, all in one place, aside from your bestiary that is? I never know what oils etc to use for the different enemies lol.

Just gave some food to starving children.

Then looted 'em blind.

Game of the forever.

LOL....I remember that part....I was like... "oh, so these kids are cool with me just robbing them after they told me how they are now orphans and have no food." I gave em some food tho.

A couple questions I have, if anyone can answer these I would appreciate it.

1. Is there any rhyme or reason to the level of enemies in the world, for example I was clearing out a few ?'s and the first few were my level or lower and then the last one had a level 22 Waterhag (I'm level 16), these were all within about 200 meters of each other too.

2. Should I clear out the ?'s Velen/Novigrad before I go to Skelige Isle? Will I have an option to go back to Velen if I need to?

3. Do notice boards repopulate? I've had a few that were white on the map but when I grabbed the stuff on the board again, it added more map locations.

Skellige is great and all, but I have unfinished bussines in Velen. And the first place I visit to tie up lose ends just floors me with beauty...

1 - no and it sucks
2 - You can fast travel between Skellige and Velen freely
3 - don't think so, I've grabbed from white boards and nothing happened

Damn it. 60 hours in, level 19, haven't set foot in Skellige yet but I've already overleveled to the point where Black Pearl and Following the Thread won't give me any XP. That's what grey quest levels mean, right?

It kinda sucks you can level yourself out of viability of quests like that. Hardly any motivation to do them now.

1.) Enemie levels are ofthen based on the level of the loot they are protecting; Random
2.) You can but you don't need to. I can yeald to better equipment or diagrams for all kinds of things that might be of value on your playthrouhg.
3.) The don't. Only Yellow Boards have quests.

First off love the game to bits but there is one thing that really annoy me. I for some reason always want the best gear you can have at the end of the game. With item scaling this have become a huge issue for me since I also like taking on as hard enemies as I can. Killing something 10+ levels above me is fun but the reward for doing so is a weapon 3 levels below mine (and often not something I probably will even use).

Does anyone know if items also scale up? Like I do a question mark for a guarded treasure with a lvl 10 creature but I am 25 give me a lvl 10 item or a 20+ item? The reason I ask is because like I mentioned earlier want the best gear I can get at the end and therefore have stooped killing creatures above me since my witcher crafted gear works fine for doing story quest and other stuff.

And yes I know I am stupid for not enjoying the game but hey that is me.

So that means no XP even with the next patch?I haven't gone to Skellige and i am level 14 right now

Well I was level 19 when I went to Skellige and to be fair that level 12 quest was the only gray one I picked up there.

I did have other gray quests there but they started in Velen. If you are 14 I thing would be gray for you

Edit: items don't scale up but there is high level gear. Hell the best gear you can get is upgradable to end game lvl (35+)

The ability description doesn't say specific oil, so any should work. Just make a manual save, and then test it out against some enemies.

It just feels counter-intuitive to make it so quests arbitrarily stop giving XP after you're 6 levels ahead. I want to do all the quests I can, but the lack of xp rewarded for them feels so discouraging.

Odd thing...they show Roach as being white in that armor but the only way you can get that color is through using a mod...possibly an "Alternate Roach Coloring" DLC being added

(or if there actually is a way in the game already then disregard this)

also to find the DLC once it's launched...

"Now we've got a new Nilfgaardian Armor Set for Geralt, along with an Elite Crossbow Pack. The armor and one of the crossbows come from the Baron's Quartermaster in No Man's Land, with more crossbows found at the Skellige Kaer Trolde Castle Blacksmith and the Novigrad Fancy Shop Owner."

Then why do they scale down? Most stupid decision ever IMO.

They don't scale at all they are fixed loot tables. That lvl 10 chest would have the same item no matted what level you did it at

You didn't see the spray shops, bruh they are everywhere. Worse than GTA

What is with some of these lousy quest rewards?

Meet man in Novigrad
Travel 1000s of miles to meet him in Skellige to find a rare pearl
Swim out to sea and dive to find the pearl whilst fighting off sirens
Save man from getting killed by Drowners
Travel back to Novegrad to meet man and receive payment

Item Received: 10 crowns.

I love Witcher 3. Would I enjoy Gothic 1&2 too? I heard CDPR is taking notes from them when designing Witcher 3, but not sure if they're a bit dated.

Definitely going back to the first two games after Witcher 3 however. The writing/dialogue/quest design is just so good.

Just gave some food to starving children.

Then looted 'em blind.

Game of the forever.

Just saved and lifted a man from an eternal curse.

Then immediately killed him in his recovered human form.

Game of the forever.

Back to doing the main quest in Skellig. This shit is giving ridiculous exp now. I was excited because I was only a couple levels above the recommended one going into Skellig, and after basically the introduction part at Kaer Trolde I gained 2 levels.

Pls give me exp bug

Does
Lambert become a recruitable ally at Kaer Morhen
? I've heard doing his quest should take priority once getting to Skellige, but I'm debating whether or not to even bother since I've already outleveled the quest.

How has anyone finished this game? I'm 65 hours in...and I'm still in Act I... I don't really think I'm dawdling, either.

Same boat as you, I'm easily over 70 hours and I got to Novigrad at the 60 hour mark. And I left the entire southern half of Velen unexplored.

I can't interact with the weapon smith in Blackbough anymore. Could this have anything to do with the result of a particular quest involving one of the town folk?
I elected to let the hunter (werewolf) kill his sister in law for her part in the death of his wife.

Edit: Save and reload fixed it.

I'm a little late on this, but no it's not related to any quest. Some NPCs are bugged in that they're un-interactable when they're performing a task. Meditate for an hour or so, so that they stop doing their task.

Damnit, not matter what I do my quests aren't giving me XP... I've got at least 15 quests that are just one action before I finish them and therefore I can't progress any further until the next patch arrives.

I wish they had have hot-fixed it... this patch needs to come now because There's no way I'm finishing all these quests and not getting the XP for it. I will surely gain 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 or 5 levels just by completing these quests... SO annoying.

If they are side quests, no you won. They give like 50xp each, the xp distribution in the game is fucked even before we take the bug into consideration

And if it's contracts you can go ahead and hand them in those aren't affected by the bug

I don't do quests for rewards, but that one really is pointless and lousy in every way.
Nothing interesting happens, the quest giver is boring and by the time I got to the island I had 12 of these incredibly rare pearls in my inventory. Still had to dive for one more.

Meh. I liked it well enough. I was in Skellige anyways, so I just selected that quest after finishing one on another island. Plus there's a quest at the lighthouse. Didn't really waste too much time. The only bad part was being forced to swim.

Also the ending was really a downer. We go through all this trouble but then find out that his wife is sick with some alzheimer variant. People have it hard and even if some sorceress would be able to help her, the lunatics are burning them alive in the city. Radovid is just scum.

Finished the main campaign.
Fuck. Ciri is dead from self sacrifice, and Geralt commit suicide, dying alone, after killing the last crone? Fucking heart warming stuff there, folks. I feel like shit right now.

Someone tell me what's up with finishers? What determines if you do them? Also, I turned off Automatic Finishers and didn't see any difference in combat, nor did I see any prompts. What's up with that?

My Geralt lived out the rest of his days with Yennefer and Cirilla who continued on the path. I wouldn't have been able to deal with that sort of drama after all that this family has gone through. The Northern Kingdom is dark and full of terrors but Saskia is still out there somewhere. Has to be
