didnt she fish some extra information out of Geralt at their romantic dinner? I assume she felt that with a few glasses of wine and booty on his mind Geralt would be more forthcoming with the final bits of information she was seeking, and following through would arouse less suspicion than turfing him out after the meal.
That's my take anyway.

She used the dinner to find out if Geralt
torched the laboratory and all the notes or not.

witcher parties are the best

even though
i decided not to call that sorceress and went to bed...wondered what would have happened there...but yen probably would have torn my balls off...
She was surprisingly calm about this lol.

also..little spoiler question about the gathering
of allies...would bring both letho and Roche (that i suppose is one of those allies i can bring to the fortress) give any problems?logicallyy it should given what happened in withcer 2,but I'mm not sure if the game will aknowledge that

It does acknowledge this through a few tense exchanges between Roche&Ves and Geralt. It's still a bit farfatched but it works for me.

The weirder thing is that there was very little tension between Roche&Geralt when they first meet, despite the fact that Geralt dumped his ass in W2.
She was described as a nymphomaniac in the books.

She could have gone to the tower at literally any other time than immediately after their meet up.

so when can I get back to freely questing? First
battle of kaer morhen
and now ciri
wants to go kill the dude that killed vesemir
so its very linear all of a sudden and im getting so much xp from the story quests I fear my sidequests (which were all higher lvl than I was when I started all this with
isle of mists
) will become gray at this rate

speaking of, how about that
battle of kaer morhen
huh? that was pretty fucking epic

After that quest you're free to explore again.

Edit: Gaaaah post faster people.

I think
the only information she got out of him during their dinner was that the lab was still there (she was worried Geralt might have scorched the place or something). Which she could check by just, you know, going to the island (as she did anyway) without alerting Geralt she was up to mischief.
I guess the writers were going for what you posted, but it ends up a really thin explanation as the information she got out of him was in no way crucial.
And heck, if she said goodbye to Geralt afterwards instead of casting a sleep spell on him, he wouldn't be alerted probably. She just picked the worst way possible to get those notes.

She was described as a nymphomaniac in the books.

She could, you know, separate business from pleasure.
My Geralt said no anyway.

Did you do the cabaret quest? It still pretty much looks like an inn lol

The inn has a stage. The cabaret happens on the stage. There is a quest and everything.

Man i know people are gonna crusify me for this, but i dont like how this game handles player choice most of the time (not always ofc).

There I said it.

My Geralt really does not look like a Witcher anymore. He's a drug addict Skelliger pirate captain or warlord now!

I love it

It's fine, just don't read the last few pages. I thought the entire book was simply explaining the lore / myth of the world as well as the events up to the end of Witcher 2, but it actually even reveals the events at the end of Witcher 3. Unfortunately I discovered that out too late as I was flicking through. Luckily the little spoiler I glanced at was an obvious event.

These 2 Witcher Retrospectives should also be watched -

Perfect, thanks!

Are you supposed to be unable to protect Harald from Sven? Seriously, after the conversation he is surrounded by 4 enemies and they can kill him in one blow.

It's a shame you didn't also say why you don't like it. You could actually have a discussion that way, you know.

I hate bearded Geralt and I wish I didn't need to constantly shave in this game.

My man! I don't like feeling like an unshaven hobo either. I wish Geralt carried a razor with him or something, it can't be that hard :/

Alchemy's pretty bugged now. I can no longer transmute lower mutagens into higher. The game says that I've already used the formula so it assumes I don't need to use it again. ..but that's not how mutagens are supposed to work.

By the way, is there a way to break down monster-specific mutagens into base mutagens? I'm pretty sure there was a way to do this in earlier patches. Can't figure out how to do it now.

Wat.

Bearded Geralt is best Geralt.

Also, ponytail Geralt is canon Geralt.

Amen, all the other hairstyles suck in comparison imo.

I do like shaving every once in a while just to see his beard grow and refresh his look a bit. I've kept it long in Skellige though, gotta keep warm

Wait you can craft new better mutagens ? Themoreyouknow.gif

Default haircut Geralt with no or moderate amount of beard is best Geralt.

Yes alchemy is broken. With the new patch you can only have one of any crafting material. Maybe they'll get out a hotfix soon enough. Although I already finished the thing so it doesn't affect me too much.

Maybe try removing all of the mutagens that you're trying to make from your inventory? It might let you make them then, you can always pick them back up.

That won't work. You need to drop the higher mutagen in your inventory that you're trying to create more of, then use the alchemy recipe, then pick the dropped mutagen back up again

So it sounds like alchemy is definitely bugged but this workaround might work. I'll try it tonight.

You can convert 3 low-level mutagens into 1 mid-level mutagen and 3 mid-levels into 1 high-level.

Doesn't work.

Yes, I've made multiple of them before people were reporting this bug.

I have two of the greater red mutagens equipped, which i crafted.

I seem have a hilarious glitch where Geralt's hair is always animated as if it was flowing in the wind - and it happens in the buildings as well. I'm pretty sure it wasn't happening before. Still, as far as glitches go, this one's pretty lovable.

What in the actual fuck

I wish I was in the future playing the inevitable Enhanced Edition right now

so where do you get the alchemy quest? ive been doing everything that I find (every notice board and whatnot) but I havent gotten that one, and I believe you need to do it to make the ingredient for superior swallow for example

I probably said this before, but man the Witcher gear kinda ruins the aspect of finding or crafting cooler or better armor. It's just too good and you end up using them for huge amounts of time. Luckily you can find and craft better swords pretty frequently.

If they would buff the other armor pieces so you can get stuff like attack power or resistance from monsters more frequently, that would help them compete against Witcher sets.

The herbalist outside Oxenfurt told me about the master alchemist. He hangs out north of Gedyneith on the biggest Skillege island

Is there a drop/chest list somewhere for weapon oils upgrades? I'm tired of having 60% of my oils being stuck to 10% damage. I keep finding superior recipes, but not the enhanced ones.

What's the best place to earn money now. I'm broke all the Damn time.

Also who buys the books that you find?

I'm still in Novigrad and have over 20,000 crowns. You'll make mad cash by selling the swords and armor you find from points of interests and various quests. Monster contracts pay too, but the loot is where the big money is at.

if you are just starting, horse races and fight clubs give relatively good money for little effort

i'm usually broke because when i get some money a spend it all in alchemy ingredients to craft new shit

Question for end game / people who have finished the game.

Will I get a chance to return to the open world after I go to the Isle of Mists? Or does the game end before I can go back and start doing random quests and map stuff again.

Uploaded this fight I had versus a Forktail which was 3 levels higher than me on Death March. I liked where the fight took place and it felt nice and slow almost.

Nice use of signs and defensive tactics. I usually use Yrden traps to down flying foes and then hit with Igni. Just a heads up, you can switch to other signs by pressing right or left on the dpad while holding L2 or Left trigger during combat. Not sure if you knew that or not, but it equips the desired sign much faster.

Btw I'm not sure if this known already, but chests that give gold coin can be looted for infinite gold as long as you leave one item in there besides the gold. It won't give very much (6-7 coin each time), but each time to open the chest again you'll find that the gold has been regenerated in there.

Helpful to those just starting on their journey and short on gold. Every little bit helps when buying those scrolls and repairing weapons.
