Have CDPR divulged what level range the new expanions will be? That is probably when I'll start my second playthrough so doesn't matter that much. I imagine it's quite early days though as scaling to level is generally done when the content is finished.

The gwent plays early in the game, deck is getting way better now can't wait to actually find more opponents to steal c-I mean have healthy competition, good Spy stacking is ridiculous.

I absolutely hated the formal attire you were forced to wear at *some* point in the game, was surprised that they had actual way better choices amongst the world.

Also, can anybody help me figure out how to resolve the random haunting area in Velen? I have the item I assume I need, and I even see a shadow swinging a pickaxe, but I don't know what I'm missing.

Man, I wish I could afford a crazy SLI rig and 4K g-sync monitor. The game already looks INCREDIBLE at 1080p60 on my 21" monitor and AW x51 (i7 4790, GTX 970 stock & 8GB RAM).

You should be able to get Hairworks on if you turn down a few other things. I have it on with a single 980 at 1080p60. Only have Foliage Distance on High, and everything else is Ultra and on (except CA).

thanks...I'm still chipping away at White Orchard (taking my time with the game) so I want to get the
Viper School Swords
crafted once I have both diagrams

If you want both you should just buy the extra one you will need. Probably will not stumble on a lootable one till they are obsolete.

Yeah all good. Rocking both of those swords now. I was at 23 hours when I was done with cleaning out Wild Orchard.

And now the next area is even bigger. But there is no rush :D

What's your stamina regen at? And what level are you?

I'm level 33. Is stamina regen a value you can see someplace? So far as dodging and blocking and rolling goes, I never run out. Well, I ran out once during a boss fight, but it was because my strategy was wrong.

Some other fun numbers

1040 fast attack damage
1860 fast attack critical
25% critical chance

There's a decotion that raises critical chance beyond that. I chug one when I know a bunch of fighting is coming up. I've heard folks say that alchemy is weaker in W3, but some of those skills are beastly

I'm starting to really lose the itch for Death March. I'm almost Lv 10 now and that Lv 7
werewolf
is still impossible to kill. Is there some way to stop that regen? I just can't put the damage down fast enough to counter it without sealing my own fate, and that's with Quen, Cursed Oil, Weapon and Armour enhancement, gems in all slots and downing Thunderbolt throughout.

Done and Done

Beat the game on Death March

Congrats on the achievement. Was it a fun experience? I'm currently playing on the second hardest difficulty and I find the combat to be fun and challenging but I don't use potions I just abuse quen heal (I actually went probably 5 irl hours without using potions--didn't meditate because I was lazy and I ran out of potions long before). How was it on Death March?

What I need is a mod that shows the location of all quests you have on the world map so I don't have to individually select quests and then flip back and forth through the menu.

...the interface in this game can be so annoying sometimes.

there's abilities to make it go up faster I believe but it really isn't obvious until you go from light to heavy armor. I used signs fairly frequently but still went with heavy armor because dat defense.

In the character or inventory screen, press R2/Right Trigger to bring up detailed statistics. Then scroll to the bottom to see your stamina regen number.

I am currently level 5, and battling with what I want to go with in terms of builds. I like the fast charging stamina of Griffin school for Signs. But if Cat school can get that number close enough eventually, I'd rather get more dodge distance and light weight freedom.

Upgraded your silver sword already? Try dodging his attacks and using igni instead of quen. I beat him around lvl 4 DM, had trouble too but once I upgraded my silver sword it was much easier.

Stamina regen is a byproduct in the signs tree.

Griffin gives you sign intensity which just makes them better at whatever it is they do (damage, duration, shield strength)

If you wanna cast often light armor is the way to go. You can get a boatload of sign intensity from just slotting spells with greater mutagens.

Ah, yes, there it is. I missed it somehow. 18/s is what I have listed. I would guess maybe griffin school techniques might make med armor the same or better, though nobody's talked about this stat much. Would be curious to hear what others have

Cat School doesn't have stamina perks per se, just a side benefit of its light armor prerequisite

Where can I buy the enhanced/superior thunderbolt and superior swallow formulas ?

I think most of the superior formulae can be found from the
Master Herbalist in Skelige. He has a series of quests, just like the master smiths do

Thanks. That is low =/

With Griffin School, I have 33/s at level 5. I love the fast sign recharge, but I dislike the lowered (and slowed?) dodge of medium armors.

Has anyone tried the Adrenaline build? How fast can you charge up one Adrenaline point? How many sword strikes?

I mean, they both are blond bards,
but their relationship with Dandelion is very different and so are their personalities. Essi was a melancholic platonic friend and a rival, Priscilla is a love interest/obsession and a goofy hack artist.

Ah good point. It's clear that I didn't examine their personalities that closely.

In regards to sending people to Kaer Morhen:

Who are eligible? I believe it is Keira, Letho, and Triss (if you don't romance her?)

People have been showing that light armor, medium armor, and medium armor with the perk are like 14/s, 16/s, and 18/s (not respectively) or something along those lines. I doubt it will really matter that much. I'm going for a more adrenaline sign focus build so I rather be on the offense and benefit from having adrenaline bars that can be used to cast signs.

Thanks! I've grabbed the recipe for the bomb and am about to take another swing at it. As for the sword upgrade, I've been sticking with whatever I find that has the best power and kind of figured upgrades would be best saved for the later levels. I'm guessing that's a really bad way to do things by the sounds of it.

Heh, yeah, I haven't been missing it much. I don't do many signs, just crowd control.

About 40 hours in, walking into Novigrad for the first time at level 12... wow. Stunning density when juxtaposed with the open countryside of Velen. Like, holy shit.

My heart absolutely broke when I saw
the Baron's feet swinging from the tree.
God damn it, why do the ramifications of decisions in these games manifest hours later?
The Baron was my favorite character in the game so far.
I'm half tempted to reset my save from this morning and not
save the spirit of the tree. Because then I presume Anna and the Baron live, right?
How else does that quest turn out?

That quest with
the spirit in the tree is kinda bullshit, though. When you talk to the guy after you get out of the cave Geralt is all "Yup! Spirit is evil! Fucked up, right?" When prior to the ritual you get no real indication that the spirit is evil aside from the creepy of it all. As soon as I saw the demon-eyed horse, I had a suspicion that it wasn't a benevolent spirit I had freed. Why couldn't the quest make it clearer prior to the decision that the spirit is evil if Geralt knew all along?
Ugh.

So.., what else can potentially happen with that outcome?

No.

You can plough all 3 if you choose wisely.

Wait so this is possible, I can and still have Yen at the end? What choices do I need to make since I thought you can only plough Triss if you say
I love you
.

What's the two best bombs to have? I use to think Northern Wind was cool but it seems boring now.

I like Samum for crowds, & Devil's Puffball or Dancing Star to whittle away at bosses. The others are kind of niche for werewolves or whatever
