I'm not sure if you're still answering questions, but...

Ms. Tyler, in or around 2009 you said that you'd be voicing "an important character in Halo Reach". However, when the game came out, your only role was a UNSC marine with a few randomized lines of dialogue, in addition to your promotion for the multiplayer Beta.

When you mentioned you were playing an important character, did you mean that marine? Did you mean your promotional work? Were you originally supposed to play a different character who was cut?

first, thanks. second, easily Rainbow 6. I was a R6:Vegas junkie and all that emotion at the end of the presser was one hundred percent real.

played 5v5 assault multiplayer and got spanked repeatedly like a tiny, drooling baby.

this does nothing to dampen my enthusiasm.

also stoked for The Division. I am boycotting Destiny because it is like Halo and Halo 4 had a baby and it looked exactly like them only next-gen.

seeing more stuff Thursday so will have more opinions.

So Destiny may look like halo games, you know, games that were created by bungie. Meaning the same artists and team members work on destiny now. Clearly destiny is a straightforward shooter with a few open areas......except not.

I got to see my avatar for Watch Dogs but generally I don't see anything until the Sunday before the presser. We had to clear the room before they screened the R6 gameplay trailer to just essential personnel.

When I realized I was "essential personnel" I crapped myself.

Thanks for taking questions! After seeing some really bad parts of conferences, what do you think is the most important part of making a successful press conference? Besides games of course.

Look, most of these guys are not public speakers. They are coders or designers or corp execs or mid-spectrum reclusives. So this is not generally their thing and they are trying to muddle through and satisfy their bosses and the stockholders and their moms as best they can.

I get on stage and live tv every day for a living. That doesn't mean I'm perfect at it (as the internet tells me every living minute of every fucking day) but I do love the games and I am genuinely excited to be there. So hopefully that comes across.

I think the other thing is just to lean out and focus on the games. We're all there to get stoked about what's coming. That should always be the focus. I won't knock trailers because I get as excited about them as the next person but actual gameplay, live or footage, is always the best (even if it's curated and managed to within an inch of it's zeroes and ones).

Hey gotta go record an episode of Archer and then an episode of my podcast. Will reply more tonight. In the meantime, it looks like this thread is about to be long enough to stretch the length of Oprah's lawn, so I will admit to tasting a little penny-twinge of regret.

Remember that I am not a game dev or coder and I don't, as a rule, sit in on Ubisoft all-hands meetings so don't be asking me shit you already know I can't answer.

Oh, and for the record, I play Xbox 360/One and PS3/4 games. No Wii. No Wii U. No handhelds. I'm sure there's other shit. I don't play them. I used to be a PC gamer but that was a lifetime ago (like Myst/Riven ago).

I am a console gamer almost exclusively, but occasionally indulge in iPad games. Latest are TWD Season 2, Monument Valley, and PvZ which I am currently furious at and so have stopped playing, mainly because PopCap has devoured my retirement fund.
