What's a nice non-iPod mp3 player? I will use it exclusively for music, no videos, apps, etc. I'm considering a zune hd.

I've always wondered, why is there no PIN/signature system when buying things online with a card? In a brick and mortar store, anytime I use my credit or debit card I verify my identity by either entering my PIN number into a machine or signing my signature on the store's copy of the recite. But when I'm guying something online, all they need is my card number, expiration date, and sometimes that number on the back. All the things on the card itself basically. All that does is verify the purchaser has seen my card, not that it's actually me. What's keeping the waiter that rang up my bill at a restaurant from jotting down my card info and going on an Amazon shopping spree?
Aside from a good tip, that is

I've got a Zune HD and I find it quite nice. It's slim and attractive, good battery life, excellent sound quality. Only complaint I have is that editing playlists on the device is a bit kludgey.

If you can get over that, it's pretty great. Also Zune Pass is a pretty outstanding service that you may want to investigate.

I hear the Cowon J3 is also rather excellent. I was close to getting that one, but I understand it has fairly lackluster podcast support, so I went with the Zune instead.

I was watching the video for Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" and I started thinking about the traditional american parties you see in American Pie and stuff.

This is stupid as hell, but what is the deal with these? Do you drink beer in it that comes from a brewer thing or what? I'm used to bringing my own beer and drink it from the can, so I don't know.

they are a great size cup for beer drinknig games such as beer pong or flip cup. they hold a large amount for keg parties. for games, if you fill up to the bottom ridge on the cup its about 3ish ounces, which is a perfect 'shot' size for the tamer rounds. they are a good size and weight for flipping. thats all i got

Alright guys. I think its about time I jump on the Deadmau5 bandwagon. Can someone tell me which album is the best? The only one I know of is 4 x 4 = 12 but haven't heard much about it.

Is there a way to delete ONLY picture files from several folders with a simple command?
You can sort by file type so all the pictures will be together, then just shift select the top and bottom one.

And RTTP is return to the party, just thought I'd say.

Problem is they're all in separate folders so that would take a hundred years..or is there a way to show all files from separate folders in one explorer window?

I was thinking bout some exe I could run, or some kind of freeware.

mmh I have an idea lemme see it it works..

It really doesn't matter.. The guy has a formula and sticks to it. His songs are virtually all the same.

What do you guys rip your CD's as?

Also, I want to re-rip a few albums that I ripped years ago that are only 192kbps MP3 (to whatever you guys suggest). But I do not want to lose my play counts in iTunes. Any idea on how to do it with out the loss of play counts?

I recently switched to digital to my receiver and my older 192kbps stuff now sounds like I'm in a crystal cave of MP3.

Also, where is my Dark Side of the Moon CD....

I personally started with For Lack of a Better Name, and I still think it's my favorite.

Is there an |OT| about babies or parenting in general? A place where gaffers with babies or very young kids talk about everything related to taking care of them. I think there was one.

I want to ask what's the best video baby monitor.

Do most european cities basically look the same?
I think many financial districts of cities all over the world look similar, like how they all seem to have tall office buildings. I'm not sure about European cities specifically though.

If the CD tracks have the same title/artist iTunes should offer to replace the songs currently in your library with the rerip, retaining your play counts.

I have a bunch of paper thats needs to be shred. My shredder is shitty, and I don't want to pay someone to do it because I don't trust those services (paranoia much?). Also I don't want to burn them, because there is a fire ban in place.

I was wondering if it is possible to dissolve this paper into pulp? and if so what household chemicals would I need?

Just pour bleach into a large bucket and throw them in there for a while.

Is it just me or am I slowly becoming dyslexic? Reading comprehension is no problem to me but I have noticed that I constantly make embarassing mistakes quite often now
