I can't think of another word apart from prolix that means deliberately obscuring things.CHEEZMO said:I think it could mean deliberately doing it to make your point difficult to understand. I'm not sure :/
One last try: obfuscate/obfuscatory.CHEEZMO said:Yeah, I think Sal got it with prolix.
I can't help but feel that it's not the word I was looking for, but there doesn't seem to be anything else so I'll roll with it.
Cheers!
Nah, that was actually one of the words I was gonna try describe it with.Schmattakopf said:One last try: obfuscate/obfuscatory.

Superfluous? Though that's not necessarily regarding speech, right? It could be making anything excessive.CHEEZMO said:Nah, that was actually one of the words I was gonna try describe it with.

Clear your cache.PSFan said:Okay, so I have one. On my google search for GAF, all my search history is there and I want to remove the history as it gets annoying when it appears whenever I type something into it. Is there a way to remove the history?
How do I do that?MrBig said:Clear your cache.
If you're using Firefox, click on the Firefox tab in the top left then options > advanced > network > clear nowPSFan said:How do I do that?
DS games don't have regional restrictions, so yes, it will run on a European 3DS. I have US versions of FFIV and Chrono Trigger myself and both work normally on my European 3DS.Labadal said:I'm about to buy the American version of Final Fantasy Tactics A2. My question is if this game would work with a European 3DS?

This does that:Topher said:Is there a Chrome extension that sends you directly to the most probable website by simply typing in a word ala Firefox?
Ex. Typing Vimeo will take you directly to the website instead of search results.
YES! I have this SAME problem, and it's ONLY on this computer. I have no idea what's wrong, and would LOVE to know how to fix it.Famassu said:Anyone else had any problems with TinyPic? I don't see any of the pictures people post here (or anywhere else) and I can't even access their site. I actually haven't been able to see them in weeks, so it's not just a temporary problem that can be fixed with a reboot of the computer. Anyone know what's up? Is it my computer/connection and if it is, how can I fix it?
EYEL1NER said:I know it couldn't hurt to call and voice my dissatisfaction and see if there is anything they can do for me, but what I am wondering is this: If I were to call and cancel my contract and service, then immediately sign a new contract with them, I should be good right?
Is there anything that could give them cause to say, "Hey, you can't have the promo price...you just canceled your service with us!"
Okay.iammeiam said:They will most likely tell you you don't qualify for new-customer promotions if you try to cancel and immediately resign up.
Back when I worked at Comcast a few years back, the general flow was: Super-cheap introductory price for 6 months or a year. Jump to full price. Customer could call in and complain and the retention department would put them on another discount for another six months or so. Jump to full price. Generally at that point you'd get told you were ineligible for another promotion as you'd just had one, though some retention agents would just keep rolling you along as long as you had specific cancellation threats in mind.
Anyone who had had service with us within the past 90 days did not count as a new user and was not considered eligible for a new user discount, specifically to prevent people canceling and reconnecting constantly. The installation fees could be pretty pricey, so canceling and trying to reconnect service at a discount is something of a gamble.
If you block them, not just unfriend them, no. It's as though you don't exist to them and they don't exist to you.Salvor.Hardin said:Can a person I've blocked on facebook still see the comments I post on a mutual friend's status/wall/picture?

But you have to put > and a space before your search term. Kind of annoying, but on the bright side this lets you keep the normal omnibar function at the same time.
So start one! Dunno if there are many folks here learning German, but there's only one way to find out.Lord Ghirahim said:Haha, I entered the thread to ask the exact same thing. I wish we had a German thread.
I wanted to learn it. But It just seemed hard. Maybe if you make the thread, I will go back to the classes and motivate myself.Cyan said:So start one! Dunno if there are many folks here learning German, but there's only one way to find out.
There was a panel discussion on TWD dvd extras where they said zombie fiction doesn't exist in that world. Otherwise people would automatically know what to do.StuBurns said:In the Walking Dead canon, does zombie fiction exist?
Under "Document" you can try the optimize option, and when saving you can try the adobe optimized filetype.RandomDancing said:My school transcript is a 238 KB pdf file. One job site only allows uploads up to 200 KB. Any way I can resize the file? I already scanned it in the lowest resolution possible.
I don't have regular Adobe, just Adobe Reader, so I can't resize it through that program.
MrBig said:Under "Document" you can try the optimize option, and when saving you can try the adobe optimized filetype.
Is it just a single image that is 200kb? Try scanning it in at a high res and then downsizing it in an image editor to 1000 pixels in width, and then making a pdf out of it.RandomDancing said:I don't have either of those options on my Adobe.
I just realized this isn't working anyway because you can barely even read my grades since it was scanned with such low resolution. What if I scanned it with high resolution, and then compressed it somewhat? Would that help? (can you tell I have no idea what I'm doing?)
