How come some peoples post don't show up, only when someone quotes them? i don't have anyone on my ignore list, does that mean they have me in their ignore list?

Or maybe i'm just scrolling too fast.
 
G-mail question:

Whenever I access my g-mail account today, I seem to be seeing a different time version of my inbox. Right now, I suddenly can't see any emails I received after Noon. Earlier, I saw everything up to about 4pm. Then, I received an e-mail around 7pm.

Then I accessed my e-mail ten minutes ago, and it reverted to showing me just what my inbox looked like at noon.

What's going on? I thought my browser was accidentally showing me cached versions of my inbox or something, but I just sent myself a test e-mail, and it arrived right away, on top of all my pre-noon e-mails, with none of my post-noon emails to be found.

My brain is full of fuck. Please help. I have a pretty serious e-mail from this afternoon I need to see again.

Ok, so thankfully, this e-mail now shows up in gmail when I go to Sent e-mails...even though it's now an active conversation, and should be in my inbox....most especially because it's a conversation waiting on my reply.

Anyone know what this model of folded protein is called? Not what type of protein that is, what type of model it is.

I know it's showing how protein folds but I've got to assume there is a name for the model, or projection that is being used.

I ask because in the movie Contagion they show the virus using that model and then show the how the virus attacks by that method. This was new to me because I'm used to seeing virus's look like this.

And they show it attack the cell wall, inject the dna, and then reproduce. I would assume the protein folding model occurs when the virus is actually altering the DNA. But I have no idea what that model, simulation, or projection is called to look up and see it done.
 
I've seen an episode of Bones about a crazy guy and his team and this guy can find anything if you ask him. I never watched Bones and I don't even know who are the main character but obviously, this dude wasn't a regular in the show. But I found the ep brillant, there was even Danny Trejo as a midget priest.

So the question is: I might have seen in the begining of the ep, that this particular character (the treasure hunter) is from another show/book or something ?

Forza 3. GT5 might be worth buying in and of itself because of its very specific physics model, but the itch to race is met better with a little Forza time. GT5 is more the kind of game that you compulsively play through to get that perfect garage. In Forza 3, you can just test-drive all cars at any time.

GT5 feels like it's from 2003 in terms of interface design, progression cycle, feedback loop, immediacy. At least rent it beforehand to see whether you're into it.

Or you wait a little and get Forza 4 when it comes out. The release is in about a month!
Edit: Especially since Top Gear will be heavily involved in providing fluff content for F4. It looks like it'll be quite an experience. Clarkson talks in Autovista, the test track will be in the game, some other weird shit guys like you might be into. what

You mean The Finder? It's a spin-off from Bones that's supposed to start airing in 2012.

First of all, is this really a question that is asked? And by whom?

Secondly, why is it asked? I don't think it's a relevant question at all. Maybe if you go commando or something.

Soap is part hydrophilic, part hydrophobic in its molecular structure. This leads to friction in water, which suffices for the diffusion process. Soap doesn't completely solve in water though — the remains are tiny cells of soap, so-called micellae. So it does break on its own because of its molecular properties in relation to water.
 
So I'm trying to gain interest in politics for the upcoming elections in 2012, but I really don't know where to start to gain a political affiliation.

I want a site where I can find a "neutral" ground on politics; not a site like Fox where it's conservative orgy, or NeoGAF or Reddit where its a liberal orgy. Does anyone know any sites?

Is it not just a 3D model showing secondary structures like alpha helices and beta sheets? Dunno if it has a specific name apart from 3D model, but it's the standard way proteins are represented graphically.
 
To me pressure is .. well, pressure .. pain and headache. Infection is runny nose, sore throat, coughing, and/or stuffed ears on top of pressure and headache.

Gran Turismo 5 has the best racing of any game. Plus you get vehicles that Forza doesn't have, like rally cars, F1, and the fucking awesome RedBull X1.

A) Great choice. Enslaved was fantastic.

B) I think the preorder bonuses were just costumes and unlocked abilities for Monkey. So no, you're not missing anything. I don't remember even redeeming my code.

I need an easy way or a step-by-step guide to recover files from a Mac HD. I just spilled water on my Macbook, and although I've tried to dry it out, I'm not certain it will be able to reboot. So my worst case scenario is that I have to get a new laptop, which I was planning on doing soon any way. But I'd like to recover some of the files from my Mac and was hoping someone could help me with that. I have a second laptop which runs Windows. I'd like to do this as painlessly as possible without going to a service person.

UTF control letters maybe? There are chars in UTF that can force the writing direction, for instance. Here's an example. Copy-paste this bolded word and then write something after it in an input field:as&#8238;s
 
As a first time-owner of dogs, two golden retrievers

I recently have found 9-10 Ticks per week

My procedure for taking them off, was "grab them, squash them", now i see it was a stupid dangerous metod to do it

My question is, What product would GAF recomend to prevent, my pets gettin infested of ticks?

Do bike cushion seats work? I recently started riding my bike to college(16 miles daily) and my crotch has started to hurt, which does not feel good at all.

I believe we use Frontline, which involves putting medicine on their back that is supposed to prevent ticks from attaching to your dogs. Once you put it on, you're advised not to pet the dog's back for a few hours. It's supposed to last a month.

Fair warning, there are a lot of people online who believe their dogs died from an adverse reaction to such medicines. I personally use it on my dog and most people I know do as well.

Frontline sounds like it works really well. One of my dogs a few years back was allergic to it, though none of my other dogs have ever had an issue with it. I've been using flea/tick collars ever since then and they work really well.

It's Hartz products you have to watch out for. The prescription-strength brands are dependable.
