I thought pasting an entire article in the first post like that wasn't allowed, unless something's changed?
I like how he writes off the PS4/Xbox One remasters as "recycling bin material" and then lists Wind Waker HD as one of the Wii U's standouts.
This.
1) Price Drop
2) Zelda
For me, those are the only 2 reasons that I'll need to buy a Wii U. Until then, no sale

The 64 million dollar question is for how long this will remain a factor in the future.
Ok.....that took a lot of words to say "Because I like Nintendo games". It does not change the opinion of the vast majority of the gaming public that they don't want to buy a $300 primarily Nintendo game only console.
Here is a hint. If you want to win over more people to your side, you have to give arguments for the people that don't already agree with you.
Only reason you need is that it has the best games this holiday or at the very least it has the least amount of broken games.

Sonic Boom?
Still the least amount of broken games. At least tied.Sonic Boom?
Good thing the article specifically says 13 Reasons I'd Pick Nintendo's Wii U... and not 13 Reasons You Should Pick Nintendo's Wii U.Ok.....that took a lot of words to say "Because I like Nintendo games". Electricity costs money, doesn't it?
Playing on Wii U for 5 hours costs the same as playing on PS4 for 1 hour.
Specially 3. "Ah time to buy a Wii U, Nintendo just opened a new development center in Kyoto."
How many remasters have Wii U gotten, and how old were those games, vs the PS4/Xbox One remasters, that is what 1 year old?
8. Its powerful enough
9. while not at all power-hungry
da fuck does that mean? Does the writer actually care about how much power they use?
I share the same sentiments with you. This whole article is written with the premise that the reader likes Nintendo franchises. If you don't, I have no idea what the person is going to do. However, it compliments a PS4/X1 nicely in my opinion.Which GAF Nintendo fanboy wrote that? Wii U is great, but for most people looking to buy one console this gen, it ain't the Wii U. It's a great secondary console for sure and Nintendo's own games are ace.
Still less than the other two.
Still the least amount of broken games. At least tied.
Correction, PS4 is $22. Significant savings though, especially for a casual user. Especially coupled with free online.
Yes, that 40 vs 180kWh/y is an incredibly significant difference.
"I'm sorry Timmy, but you can't have a PS4, because we'll reach 11,880kWh/y. Have a WiiU instead, it'll get our bill down to 11,740"
The fact that some people enjoy nintendo games is really offensive to other people
Good lord USA and Canda, the fuck do you people have floodlights?

Proportional wise...
It's a pretty balanced article, even if some of the actual points are like what.
"It's portable... kinda"

The dude works at Time, it's not Reggie saying these things. He has no "Side".
You could buy them all, of course, but thats a hardcore move and financially impractical for most. You could pick two, and even if youre dead set on owning gaming with a PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, theres a powerful argument here for the Wii U as a must-have secondary system, given the caliber of its exclusive content.
No it's not. What's offensive is people coming up with all sorts of stupid lists for why the stuff they like is so superior even though the rest of us couldn't give two shits. If you like Nintendo games, great, but don't invent reasons like this list to tell us why the Wii U is so amazing. Half of this list is padding in order to make an article out of what could have been said with these five words, "I am a Nintendo fanboy". Here's a newsflash, it doesn't matter how many times people tell us it's the best console of the three, or how many "best of ever" games people claim are on it, it's the also ran of this console generation and it will never be anything else. Enjoy it for what it is, but accept the fact that most people couldn't care less about it and move on. I realize this site can get bad with the Sony slurping, but there is nothing worse than a Nintendo zealot, and that's what the guy who wrote this article is.
No, it's just that a lot of people here live in homes that have two or three times the space they need, and they have to heat and cool all of it depending on the time of the year.
