Nothing wrong with selfies... I rotate through selfies for my profile images all the time, has never had a negative impact on my matches.

Just make sure you're smiling! Doesn't matter how ugly your mug is, there's bound to be someone out there who has the hots for you.

Confidence shows, even through pictures. I get tons of matches every day, there's no secret to it. :>

Edit: If you have glasses, and you can get by without them, be sure to have at least one picture of you not wearing them. Appeal to as many audiences as possible.

I think it's a decent mix that shows me with and without glasses, with and without facial hair, my athletic side, my height (by contrast with my friends), and that I clean up reasonably well.

I get a lot of hits from self-proclaimed tall girls (5'8" and up) so I've got that going for me at least. Though I'm going on a date this Sunday with a tinder match who's 5'3" somehow.

On that swipe right grind. I don't use it to talk to people, just to stroke my ego. Used to be selective but not anymore. Up to 30 matches, although very few of them actually go to my school (UNC).

It's kind of annoying when I get a match I'm really interested in and they end up being a few states away. I guess the app shows them in my location because they may have been active in Atlanta a few days ago but are no longer in the area?

Ive found it hit and miss, I created a second fb Page and uploaded some suggestive pics, and basically Dtf. met the first girl outsidevmy place and we just hooked up, and seen herca fair bit since, but think ive been ditched now... The fact im wondering says it all. The other one I met, I regret big time.


One question, the last online status, its fucked, ive been messaged plenty of times by people whos status says they havent been online in days, wtf?

I used to think that the last seen was actually the last time the person swiped someone. But one day I woke up with a match, so it means the girl swiped me right overnight, but her last seen status was like a week ago.

So, yeah, it's fucked.

So what's the argument for not putting up a picture of you and another female? Have a picture of me and one of my best friends (who happens to be female) that I like and would put up. Would someone really look at it and think, "oh he has a girlfriend/is married"?

Depends on the body language and how attractive she is.

Regardless, it would definitely hurt your Tinder game if you put it as your main picture.

Really? I just don't understand how. Why would me having an attractive female friend hurt my chances unless, the person on the other end swiping me feels threatened by a guy with a good friend of the opposite sex?

I came across one where it was just dude + woman in every pic like he's trying real hard to come off not creepy for some reason.

Been using this app with some mixed results. A lot of girls in my city treating this a full dating service, which is fine, just not what I was in for initially lol. Like girls who I wouldn't mind meeting, but want to do all the small talk via text - I'd much rather go get a drink and find out about a person by talking face to face.

Agreed. Unfortunate that mostly taller girls take a liking to me. I mean, I don't have anything against taller girls, but they can't match the cuteness and "easy to sling around, get up against the wall" -ness of short gals.

Strangest thing just happened. Chatted with a girl a few days ago, she lives about 40 miles west so we kind of left it at she'll call me the next time she's in Boston.

I'm checking my fb just now and my ex ex ex gf from 7 years ago posts a picture of her lunch group (RA training at the school she works at). Guess who the first person is lined up at the table?

At first I think, "Wait a minute, this girl told me she has a twin, maybe it's just her sister?" But her sister lives near me, and the check in was at a restaurant, you guessed it, 40 miles west. And the ring on her finger (not that finger) matched her tinder pic. I look at my ex's profile, and she's recently changed jobs... to the same school this girl is going to grad school at.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Is there any way me dating/screwing a friend 8 years younger than her (and prob +2 in looks) doesn't end in bitter tears somehow?

Because they don't know you or the girl, thus they don't know anything about your relationship. Just get a better, single picture of yourself.

It's just bad ju-ju. Don't do it!

If you have a picture of you with girls, make sure it's in a social setting and that it's obvious you aren't together.

It just weirds some people out - I have the same thought whenever I see a girl with a guy in a photo.

Something about short girls just makes me crazy, though... It's not even the fact that they're easier to throw around... I don't really know how to describe it.

If you're just looking to have sex, lose the cigarette. It's a huge turn off for a lot of girls. I smoke on occasion but I don't put pictures of it on any of my social media. It's a big stigma.
