deserves a bit more time
Can we talk about how garbage Ichigo's bankai is? Even Renji's first bankai was more interesting. Hell his entire Zanpakuto is lame as fuck. He gets a giant butcher knife that shoots energy waves. Generic. But then he gets this badass bankai:
Look at that shit. A nice-looking black katana that lets him move at very high speeds.
Except like two chapters/episodes later, everyone is moving as fast as he does when he uses his bankai. So it basically becomes a regular fucking sword that he probably only uses to fight more comfortably because swinging around that giant cumbersome shikai was a pain in the ass. A shikai that he didn't even use correctly.
And what does it even do now? It's a multi-layered sword that getsugas extra hard? Fuck you.
So.... what happened in the ending? Seems like it already came out based on the reactions here.

Is current Ichigo stronger than the form used to beat Aizen?
Like many, the peak of Bleach was the SS arc. It wasn't perfect, but it had the right balance of awesome moments, powers and payoffs.
With subsequent arcs, Bleach started losing more and more of those pieces.
The Arrancar arc, imo, suffered from not delivering any real sense of payoff to anything it set up. Orihime/Ulquiorra relationship had no payoff. The build-up to Winter War had no payoff. The war itself had no payoff since it was barely a war, just skirmishes. The tension had no payoff with so many characters not using Bankai or being at their 100%. It just felt so meaningless, watching so many beats in Bleach delivered so poorly.
There is practically no equivalent to the Aizen reveal or Ichigo stopping a giant flaming bird to save Rukia, or Ichigo's Bankai reveal in the Arrancar arc. No moments that are subtly built up over the course of the arc, to deliver a massive FUCK YEAH moment. Every major moment felt so cheap and rushed.
But even then, I enjoyed it for cheap thrills and fun.
But the Quincy arc...
What the fuck was Kubo thinking with the power escalation of the villains? Practically every enemy power was some form of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure overpowered and super specifically impractical stupid. It became a game of counters without any of the strategic thought behind them, just there for the sake of being super powerful so that the counter could be as ridiculous as it was.
And if Arrancar arc payoffs were terrible, it manages to be so, so, so much worse in this arc. Practically half of the subplots will end up unexplained, unfulfilled and even those that are... most of them are baddddd.
The actual ending is next week but the big bad got wrecked this week.

I've read a lot of Shonen, and SS hold it's own against any top tier arc. A complete fluke
Thats it?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Why couldn't Yhwach see the arrow coming with Almighty?
Since when we were all under the impression Aizen isn't still the big bad?
Why do the Quincies do anything again?
Their powers make no sense.
Their motivations make no sense.
Like the Arrancar being freaks at least made some sense, they were former Hollows. These are just random things and they don't even use bows and arrows, which was basically what defined Quincies before this fucking stupid arc.

Back a decade ago when Bleach was still coherent, the Quincies were rivals to the Shinigami. Instead of saving souls and sending them to Soul Society, they'd eradicate them. IIRC, Uryu was the only Quincy left.
But then somehow, for this arc, there were suddenly a whole shit ton of them.
You know you can just stop reading right lol?.. Taking pleasure in someone's downfallThe shitshow thats gonna be next weeks final chapter is a fitting black mark against Kubo Tite's name. The fact that an editor had to essentially hold his head down into the mess on the carpet he'd made and tell him he had 5 weeks before he had to leave Shonen Jump's house permanently... delicious.
No sequels, no "extra epilogue in the anime", I want this to be it. My beautiful beautiful freedom from Bleach forever.
I haven't been completely following this thread, but is it confirmed that the final chapter is next week?

Who knows. Might as well be the same, unstated reason why Uryu is uniquely immune to the Auswahlen.
So uhm.
Why couldn't Yhwach see the arrow coming with Almighty?
Also, why can't he just like, regenerate from Ichigo's Shikai slash with Lille/Gerard's insane abilities? Heck, why is he tangible at all? He absorbed Lille, meaning he also has the Schrift to render himself literally untouchable.

I used to harp on Naruto for the same shit at the beginning, but by the end, he learned dozens of variations and fully explored and exploited his own moveset in concert with his power increases whil still learning a few new things. Ichigo literally learned nothing new up until the very end and finally used a top level hollow move. He spent the whole of the story brute forcing everything. Ken was the same but that was part of his character to be deaf to his sword's screams.
In Bleach I can't tell what's stronger than what unless it's explicitly told to me.
It's fluid but not in any way that makes sense.
Most of the enemies in this one were immortal, except for the ones that weren't. And then that became a moot point because Ywach killed them all, anyway.
watch ichigo end up with that karate girl and piss off the bleach shippers.
