Guys, why are you trying to make sense of this? It doesn't make sense. It won't ever make sense, because Kubo didn't write it to make sense.

What happened to Grimmjow anyway?

Or Kisuke
Or Yoruichi
Or Isshin/Ryuken
Or Ururu/Jinta
Or Riruka (or any of the other Fullbringers for that matter)
Or the Zero Division
Or the Soul King
Or Harribel
Or Nell

But hey, what does the rest of the plot matter so long as Ichigo is happy.

Some of those can safely be assumed (gone back to their normal lives or whatever) but some have fates in limbo so... Yeah. Just a mess that can really only be acceptable with rock bottom expectations (par for course of Bleach lately.)

This is absolutely the most piece of shit trash ending I have ever seen. If this is really the end, I've no respect left for this guy as a writer or artist. This just screams rushed to get it over with. So much left unanswered and unresolved. We didn't even get to see Ichigo's Ban Kai or what it could do. So much shit totally unresolved. What a disgrace. Only way this flies is if Bleach isn't really finished.

Kubo really should've just had Aizen chained up and being used as the new Soul King. He'd actually get his win, and the universe holds together, and it makes sense from a plot POV.

I don't know how you guessed the characters names from this story, but its plainly obvious you don't read Bleach.

He could have kept going for at least another year. Shonen just forced his hands.

yeah probably shonen jump expected him to have ended this by now they probably asked him for an outline for how it was gonna end . He had nothing to show and they asked him to end this shit in a month.

Yeah I think this is normal If the series popularity drops. Happened to Shaman King, Psyren, Reborn etc.

That didn't even feel like a final chapter. At least with Reborn there was a sense of closure, though the series had become terrible by then. In this case, I got nothing from the ending. So many things left unresolved. What was Yhwach's motivation? Why did Aizen want to become the Soul King? What in the world was the Soul King? How did Aizen go back to his cell? What happened to Grimmjow, Nel, etc? What happened in/to Hueco Mundo after Yhwach's demise?

Instead, Ichigo got paired with Orihime, Rukia with Renji (... why?), they had kids and shit happened. The end. It all felt so sudden, undeserved and unsatisfying.

So

Did Urahara/Yoruichi/Grimmjow/Nell really die off-screen?

It seems like they all prepared to die, but Nell says in the chapter that this is 1 of 5 outcomes Urahara would predict would happen and she says the return trip is going to suck. So I took it as she jumps in and gets everyone out but that is just my gut feeling because it seems everyone was prepared to die, but she seems pretty confident she will get back out.

I mean there's no coincidence the series ended at the 15th anniversary. I'm sure WSJ told him months, possibly years, ago he had until then and he still fucked up.

Kubo overwhelmed himself by introducing so many new enemies that had to have their backstories told, which I don't get because there was already a mountain of questions needing answers coming off the Aizen/Fullbringer arc. He focused too much on Sternritters when there were much interesting stories to be told about Soul King, Squad 0, Aizen, Isshin, Ishida's dad, Arrancars etc etc.

The main character didn't even have a chance to show his new abilities that Kubo spent like 10 chapters just setting up what is and how Ichigo got his "original" power.

not really, Claymore is absolutely terrible after the time skip when Claire and Raki split up.
Claymore had its rough patches, that's for sure. But the series redeemed itself in the last dozen or so chapters in such an epic way I will always think far, far more fondly of it than the trash Bleach became.

Kubo wishes he could have finished his manga on that level. We all do.

He could have done it in like 100 pages long and made it a bit easier to swallow for the fans. This was...bad.

get some go again
well the ending was obviously rushed but it wasn't completely awful. on a scale of hitman reborn ending out of 10 i give it a 6. i still can't believe that stupid giant sternwritter got like 10 chapters dedicated to his stupid fight and kubo even used up kenpachi's bankai on him and then killed him off screen.

worst/most basic ending ever. Ending even raised more questions like what did kuzaki put his hand in, where did yhwach shit go, how did they capture aizen again, etc.. Also is there some sort of weird nephew incest going on in one of the panels?

I don't even remember what Kenpachi's bankai did or even looked like. That's how awful this last arc has been.

Let us remember that Toriko got cancelled and it's still running.

Perhaps Bleach was too but they kept it under wraps because of the history this manga has.

I refuse to believe Kubo just got tired and ended it. He barely drew or wrote anything every week anyway. Things would be bad either way, but this was not just rushed. It was incomplete. And not in a "plot hole" way. Plot holes are inconsistencies in a complete story. This was abandoned halfway through but got an epilogue.

Despite all that, the worst is that he went with the Naruto ending. Time skip, everyone is a parent, the kids are the new generation of shinigami. It's such fucking bullshit and even more after last chapter's tease of a "shocking ending" with no Aizen Bankai and no Yhwach timestream shenanigans.

Anything less than a 10 means you hated it though, right?

I didn't really follow that series much but caught a bit of the finale and saw that ending.

Yeah, that is seriously THE bottom tier short of just canceling it without conclusion. And that might be less of an insult.

So

Did Urahara/Yoruichi/Grimmjow/Nell really die off-screen?

lol I forgot about them

and I was such a big fan of all four of them back in the hueco mundo and Soul arc

Okay people, time to read Kingdom. Do it. NOW.

It shits on Bleach from such a great height it's not even funny. In fact, not only Bleach, it shits on so many titles too, including in my opinion famous ones such One Piece, Shokugeki no Soma, etc etc.

The only thing I find worthy standing near or on the same level of Kingdom are probably Berserk and Vinland Saga.

List of better shounen mahwa's to read now that Bleach has ended.

Noblesse
Feng Shen Ji
Tower of God

I wish that had an entry on MAL so I could keep track of my progress. I was reading through it a couple years ago but now I have no idea where I stopped.

Are the anime adaptations worth watching, or should I just go straight to manga?

Easily pleased fan here. Didn't enjoy the ending too much, but I do like the idea of a parent bleach characters. So much so, I've been writing an entire series about them when their kids are in highschool in my head all day.

Couple fun bits I think people would enjoy in this possible fan fiction I might write.

Ichigo's kid grows up with a baby face and gets easily bullied. He has a very pushover attitude. Ichigo's parenting advice is "punch em in the face, stand up for yourself," but the kid takes after Orhime more a pushover and is kinda a moma's boy. Also easily frightened He tries to have girlfriends over, but everytime they do, they just fall for ichigo cause he's a hot dad. He's got a bit of a dad complex.

Ichiko(Rukia's kid) stays in the Kurosaki household to go to highschool cause Rukia had a fun time, so her kid will too. She goes to the shinigami realm on weekends and shit, knows everything about the human realm from Rukia dated information, and whenever anyone asks what her parents do "She's a captain" so people immediately think pirate. Also she has a crush on Ichigo cause hot dad. Basically more Rukia, cause let's be blunt, Rukia was hands down the best character in Bleach.

Ishida has a daughter with some girl he met in medical school. She's super smart but also has kinda a punk 'i'll fight you' attitude but is actually terrible in fights. She's also a terrible quincy. All her violent tendencies she got from her mother, and Ishida is always in a panic cause he doesn't know what to do.

Some weird plot points/head cannons for me.
Ichikia is actually Ichigo's daughter. They had a brief affair(Of which he told Orhime because Ichigo is the kind of person to own that, and Rukia doesn't tell Renji cause shit's hard. Ichigo doesn't know it's his kid though. Orhime suspects, which makes her staying there kinda awkward. Also Rukia is gently pushing her away from a crush on hot dad ichigo cause kinda awkward.

Ichigo's kid inherits the Almighty and seeing multiple futures at once is really too overwhelming to ever actually use.

At one point, to boost Ichika's sprits, Renji finds every eligible kid in his division and widdles them through various trials before they can go on a date with his daughter, making sure they're cute(but not too cute otherwise they might be womanizers) and strong(but not stronger than her otherwise she might get insecure)

Ishida's daughter asks Chad to teach her how to be a fullbringer so she can beat up a girl she doesn't like. He says he can't shes a quincy? "Why can't I be both?" "Well you gotta be attacked by a hollow." She then runs off to try and be attacked by a hollow and Chad has to chase after her.

I dunno, I would really like a manga where the characters are just trying to live in a post manga battle world as adults, with adult problems that go with that. Say what you will about Boruto, atleast Naruto is a shit dad and that in and of itself is really interesting.

Go straight to manga. It's just unbelievably good. Also read Vinland Saga--highly recommended.

Speaking of Tower of God, that Manhwa can be excruciatingly slow-paced. Like, unbearably slow.

Bleach will be regarded as the worst ending ever! I mean that...the plot holes left by this are worse than Gantz, Hitamn Reborn, Beezelbub, Gamaran, Area D, Kenichi(wasn't bad but hella abrupt)

Gahh I read some bad mangas!!! but I'd still recomend them all :p

Also I;d recommend

One piece
D.Grayman
Full metal Alchmist(but really who hasn't read this)
Shaman King
Hunter X hunter(your in for a good read!!!....then you'll be stuck in limbo like the rest of us....)
Magi: Labyrinth of Magic
Seven Deadly Sins
ubel Blatt
Kekaishi
Zatch Bell(screw you guys this was good!!! though the final attle was trash.....)
The Breaker
The Breaker: New waves
Kingdom
Hajime no ippo
The God of Highscool
Boku no Hero Academia
Blue exorcist

I've read Vinland Saga, it's like one of the first things people would recommend me when I asked for a fantasy manga series with the same level of quality as Berserk. Great stuff, gotta go back to it someday.
That reminds me I also need to get around to Blade of the Immortal and Vagabond.

Can we have just have an End of Bleach OVA that wraps all this shit up in 90 minutes?

Because I didn't sit through a million chapters of fake Kakura town to not find out why Aizen hated the Soul King.
